  1. Watched a couple of videos on the renovations at East Lake this week. The changes in the course are going to be interesting – it has been transformed from what was effectively a Rees Jones course back to more like a Donald Ross course. I think advantages from past years may not carry over into this year – the course is likely to play very differently.

On the President's Cup team, I'd take Bradley over some of the warhorses like Thomas and Speith. Enough of the "cool kids" set. But adding youth to the team would be a real long-term benefit.

  2. Not sure if everyone remembers, there was an interview of Lydia Ko that one of her goals is actually the career grand slam. So getting Oly God, HOF and 3 of 5 Majors, that career grand slam goal might be her FINAL DESTINATION.

  3. Where would Dunlap be in the points if the tournament he won counted for points? No matter his status, he won that tournament. He then slumped but has come around this summer. Not counting an actual win because of status is just being deliberately obtuse.

  4. FWIW, Ko does have a playing superpower. Put a wedge in her hands and she is probably the absolute best in women's golf. In addition to the scrambling, she was the only contender to nail the short wedge shot on the 18th hole.

  5. Depending on when they filmed the episode, Suzann might have made her picks already. For the most part, she is taking the same team to Virginia that she had a year ago. Nick Dunlap should be on the team. He would be 24th if he was credited the points for the AM EX win. He is 28th. I think Jim Furyk should take the top 10, Akshay Bhatia and Nick Dunlap. JT and Max shouldnt be on the team. JT is 19th in points. Max may be 12th but even he would say he didnt have a great season. Kevin Kisner was laughing on the show cause of how hot Keegan has been he may be a playing assistant captain.

  6. Furyk would be out of his mind to allow Keegan to indulge in any of his desires to participate as a player in the Presidents cup. Keegan's experience as a assistant capt. is imperative as a precursor to being a Ryder Cup capt.

  7. They should pick Keegan to see how he goes as a playing captain because he could absolutely play his way onto the ryder cup team, good practice,
