This is a great drill that I saw someone doing the other day and just had to try it for myself
.
So basically if you struggle with hitting fat shots then this is probably going to help you with that
.
A fat shot is usually caused by coming away from the ball too much by moving onto your back foot in the back swing
.
If you put something like a pipe cleaner around an alignment stick with a circle on the end and place that over the ball, then keeping the ball in the circle throughout your whole swing will mean that you are staying in the same position and should be able to hit more consistently flush shots
