The Falcons got Simmons mostly because Hellams went down in the Miami game. Our rookie pass rusher going down was the reason for the Judon trade. Perfect moves from TF to not only fill a void, but to improve the team a lot.

He went where he was valued. Right. He went the only place that would pay him. Tell the truth. The poor guy only got 8.5. What's he going to do? Food stamps? With zero investment with the money and only simple interest that's only $8000 a week for life. With him never touching the 8.5. Cry everyone a river. This team even with a sad quarterback last year, and they were close in a lot games in the 4th quarter. Win a couple of them last year we make the playoffs.
Justin Simmons has Bates too. So the pressure isnt all on him to get the coverage right. He can take a backseat some while hes getting up to speed and just use his instincts and focus on his role and him and Jessie can work together to get up to speed throughout the season. Its going to be magic what those two are gonna be able to do together.
I remember when we hired Raheem morris a lot of fans were skeptical of the hire because of his HC record(he coached the browns before they got decent)…I was super excited knowing he’s a players coach and now look, players actually want to Atlanta now 💯

@NFL on NBC everyone forgets we lost our 3rd rd draft pick OLB/EDGE Braelon Trice for the year so we needed to go for an EDGE. Judon and the Pats just happened to not be on the same page so yes it was desperation but the Simmons signing was all on him and his agent after also losing Hellams for a few weeks and Judon signing
