Scouting Arsenal’s NEXT GENERATION: Ethan Nwaneri, Miles Lewis-Skelly, Ayden Heaven. Pre-Season 24/5

Ethan Nwaneri, Miles Lewis-Skelly, and Ayden Heaven are the three newest Hale End prospects in line to play major roles in the Arsenal senior teams across the next decade. But what makes the three so special? In today’s video, on the eve of Arsenal’s pre-season opener against Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth, I provide in-depth scouting reports and player profiles for the three young guns. Mikel Arteta has endeared them with the trust of securing a place on the plane to the USA, where Arsenal are set to take on Lyon, and Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Levekusen too.

1. Ethan Nwaneri: Nwaneri made his Arsenal debut at just 15 years old, becoming not just the youngest Arsenal player, but the youngest ever player to make their debut in the English top flight. His Premier League bow was a sign of things to come. An uber-technical number 10 with the press resistance and finishing instincts to dominate across the pitch, as well as possession an incredible motor.

2. Miles Lewis-Skelly: if Nwaneri is adept at ball-carrying, Lewis-Skelly’s ability is off the charts. Equally close to the ground, Lewis-Skelly’s athleticism, manipulation, drive, and technical quality present a long term option as a 6/8 hybrid for Arsenal, potentially ready-made to play next to Declan Rice.

3. Ayden Heaven: the least well-known but, for me, the next up for Arsenal. A left-footed defender set to return to midfield later in his career, Heaven is a lanky yet elegant presence on the ball. He reminds me of Abou Diaby, a profile Arsenal fans will be begging to have back in and around the first team.

How these players interact with the likes of Martin Odgeaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and many more will be at the forefront of Mikel Arteta’s mind as he looks to incorporate them into the first team next season.

I also offer tactical analysis of how these players fit into Arteta’s plans and current system, as well as their roles around potential new signings like Mikel Merino and Riccardo Calafiori.

This channel covers the entire Premier League, including Manchester United, Eric ten Hag, Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, Tottenham Hotspur or Spurs, Ange Postecoglou, Newcastle United, Eddie Howe, Aston Villa, Unai Emery, Liverpool, and Arne Slot, and much more!

  1. On holiday currently but videos are back as normal now! Had the small matter of graduation so I do apologise for the 2-week hiatus. I wish I could 'scout' every youngsters on the plane to the US! If you guys want to know more on any of the other guys, drop a comment below this and I'll do that. Pre-season 24/25 we have arrived!

  2. we play utd, liverpool, and bournemouth so this will give us some room to try and experiment with the youngsters especially nwanieri

  3. Hope these guys get the chances. Skelly for me is the future of Arsenal’s and England’s midfield.

  4. harvey thoughts on people saying chelsea are favourites for premier league against arsenal and city next season, is that delusional?

  5. Do you think we wil see an influx of u
17s players having more minutes at top clubs due to more games? Its both interesting and concerning to me for some reason 🤔

  6. harvey excellent video, hopefully we win the title next season, are you still confident we do it, also please thoughts on delusional chelsea fans thinking they are in a title race😂😂?

  7. Harvey can Ethan be successful as an 8? In matches versus low blocks could we find more ways of breaking them down with MO and EN as our 2 8s (or better described as 2 10s)?

  8. New subscriber, inp5ressed with the analysis, keep it up. Lowkey see you hitting the 100k mark bro 🙏. Also i saw Arteta play Skelly as a LB during the Orient pre season game, what do you think? Skelly is my fave and i defo see him as a number 6/8.

  9. Thank you Harvey for highlighting our next Hale End starlets! Might be the time that we integrate these youngsters into the first team.

  10. I've not seen many comments on Nwaneri being extremely one footed. You mentioned it briefly Harvey but it does worry me that he hasn't developed his right foot more. Even just to control the ball in order to prepare him for an offload with his strong foot more quickly. This is what Odegaard is world class at.

  11. “but the big part of what sets Ethan Nwaneri apart is his bigger space stuff”

I’d take that as a big f* you to Martin Odegaard. Thank you Harvey, finally

  12. Bro you made Nwaneri that he is the next Messi ,he is not better than Odegaard in tight spaces, Odegaard dribble and close ball control is insane, you just can not compare,he is very young so he can go up,or he can go down…

  13. Fantastic video – thanks for the insights. I'd been wondering what all the hype was about Nwaneri. This analysis was helpful.
I hope he gets real minutes with the first team – it sounds like we could use his skills.

  14. But Harvey – you gotta pronounce "Jesus" the Brazilian / Portuguese way… not the Spanish / Hispanic way. 🙂
