At this point, just focus on making contact. Don’t swing too hard and hurt yourself.
Tell him his spine is like the spit a rotisserie chicken spins around on and he shouldn’t raise up or dip down during the swing. His shoulders are the chicken.
He is pulling the club a bit too far inside on his take away. Have him do 1/4 swing drills and hit balls with it. Below is a good video regarding how to do it.
