Brad Adam on Mariners code red. Trading Luis Castillo in offseason. Servais/Dipoto blame.

Jason “Puck” Puckett, former KJR host, joined by Brad Adam, Root Sports, for his weekly conversation discussing the Mariners.  The majority of the conversation centered on who is to blame for their play?  Is it the fault of ownership, the front office or the manager?  Puck and Brad both agree they all share blame.  if they do miss the playoffs and make changes at the end of the season, do they just fire Scott Servais or do they also include Jerry Dipoto and the front office into that equation?

Why do so many of the players they acquire struggle to hit here?  Servais seems to get all the blame for the offense, but for some fans he gets no credit for how the pitchers perform.  However, Dipoto and the front office get all the credit for the pitching staff, but none of the blame for the offense?

Puck heads out on vacation and will be back on Sept. 2, he asked Brad if the M’s will have a deficit that is greater or lesser than five?

  1. I need to apologize to Brad, I used to yell at him after the games in centerfield, drunk off my ass. I am now older, wiser and more chill. He used to get so mad at the drunk people in centerfield.

  2. Love your show, but Adams has been peddling the same horse shit for this org forever now. I’m over it. Bring back Rojas/Polanco?! Really?! Hell no! Get out of here, man. Apologizing for the M’s not pursuing Snell, because “well, did they need pitching?” You can NEVER have too much pitching. And adding him would have allowed for you to trade one for some hitting! Get out of here. Sick of how soft this franchise is.

  3. Gotta be honest, Brad is a tough listen. Pushing root sports propaganda constantly. That network is just a mouthpiece for ownership. There's still time? Are we watching the same product? The M's are DONE.

  4. This franchise is an absolute joke. All the idiots who thought we had a good offseason are in shambles. You clowns bought season tickets to a circus.

JRod is a bust. Garver is a bust, Polanco is a bust, Turner is a bust, Haniger is a bust, Canzone is a bust, Rojas is a bust, D Mo is a bum, JP is a bust, Cal is mediocre, Raley is a bust, Robles has been a bust for years…think about it.

  5. Blah blah blah nonsense rojas get real canzone can go to triple A jerry has no idea how to build an offense and Scott has no idea how to motivate this is unacceptable he should have been fired after the playoff loss swept by Houston

  6. That stat of the team hitting record of strikeouts being broken now for the last 5 full seasons (since 2019), absolutely that is on DiPoto & Hollander as they implemented this hitting philosophy throughout the entire organization. They both & the entire regime should be fired.

  7. I only came to comment. I don't want any of the Mariner videos as I don't see a point. I have zero interest in hearing about them anymore. Per KJR they are on pace to have the most strike outs in MLB history. 16th worst batting avg all time. Hitters leave and all of a sudden they hit. It's a bad franchise. Plain and simple. Ownership will not fire anyone because people are still spending money. There is no need for them to all of a sudden spend when they make top ten money with a bottom third budget. If they don't fire literally everyone on the coaching staff the results will always be the same. It's a franchise problem somehow. People don't hit when they are mariners. They hit when they play for other teams. I don't see anything turning around as long as this ownership group owns the team. I will probably never watch another game again unless a buddy of mine gives me free tickets. I won't even watch them on the TV . I don't see the point in watching a franchise that doesn't want to win. That does not even try. As far as I am concerned they could move and it would be better than having this team. I would rather have no franchise than a franchise that doesn't try. I wish no one would talk about them. I said like half way they should fire sale everything because they won't make the playoffs. Here is the secret they are not going to make the playoffs. They are going to do nothing for the foreseeable future. They are not relevant.
Gabs here for some unknown reason continue to give money to an organization that doesn't care. That talks down to them. Speak with your wallet and stop giving them money. They will either invest and hire people that are competent or move the team. Either way it's a win.

  8. If you take highway 2 thru Libby to Glacier, take a few hours to stop at Kootenai Falls between Troy and Libby. Also has a scary swinging bridge! The Revanent was filmed there.

Go to Big Mountain in Whitefish, take the chair lifts up and also take their Alpine Slide too. Lots of fun. Whitefish great to visit.

Stop by the Sacred Waters Brewing Company on your way to Glacier too. Fun spot.

    Have fun!

  9. Trading La Piedra makes no sense. We got him on a team friendly deal, and he has a no trade clause. How many places will he waive that for that are teams willing to trade a us the right pieces back? also as much as gilbert and kirby have matured castillo is the leader of the rotation hands down.

  10. Hey no name calling 2nd basemen act like you can get dirty and dive for a few of those balls all of you could take a look a the little league and watch how they hussel and look in the seats see how empty your seats are going to look like that soon its a shame I drove a 1000 miles last week to see you play wished I could get re emburst. Scott its time to stop switching up the line up get them in a rythme

  11. Rojas isn't back, he has been sub-.200 for a 3 month stretch. Polo won't get that option picked up, though I think we plug 2B on the cheap internally. The Mitch's you may need to treat as sunk costs, or relegate Garver to nothing more than an overpriced backup catcher once a week.

  12. Mariners are looking at so much turnover this offseason. 3B and 1B are WIDE open. Rojas is absolutely not the answer and to a lesser extent, Raley/Locklear aren't either.

  13. Jerry sucks at identifying offensive players. All GMs will hit on some…..but overall he has missed way more than he has hit. WAY MORE!!

  14. This is one of the reasons players don’t come to Seattle, they sign a big contract with a no trade clause and live up to the contract and what do we do? We talk about trading the player. It’s really actually disgusting when you think about it.
