Wemby had an insane 3 years. Carried the Mets92 to the play-offs then the finals, then after it’s the draft night already. Then after, went on to summer league, then preseason, then his NBA debut. He had an amazing rookie season, got unanimously voted as ROTY, All-Rookie 1st Team, first rookie to be in the All-Defensive 1st team, NBA Block Leader, runner-up for DPOY in his rookie year, and even got Top 20 votes for All-NBA. That was crazy. Then off-season, was selected as a first-time Olympian for their national team and had to face the Avengers in the gold medal match and ended up having his best Olympic performance against them. Wemby ended up being a silver medalist for his first Olympic run. He was France’s best player, and led all statistical categories for them. FIBA selected him as one of the Olympic’s All-Star 1st Team, and also their Olympic Rising Star. This dude is amazing and I hope and pray that he remains healthy for a very long time and also for him to have a long and successful NBA career.
