I can only imagine the emotional roller coaster Murray's mom and his family went through. He really deserved this title. Djokovic lost so many slam finals between 2012-2014. Then became so clutch in Slam finals from 2015 onwards.
Andy Murray At that time, he showed a real sign of bravery. 😊😮 That's how he should have played today, like he did in this game. 😊
Murray in 2012 was a beast. Great champion with 2 Wimbledon and 2 Gold Medal at the Olympic Games in 2012 and 2016 (also 5 Australian Open finals).
Great final against the G.O.A.T., Nole.
Weird match. So bad.
Sold final
Djokovic played clearly better overall (tons of winners unlike Murray) but Murray managed the crucial points a bit more solid than djokovic
Novak played so bad. I think he even wanted to lose. He played to defensive, just put the ball in play. Never tried. Probably his worst Grand Slam final
Djokovic has lost more than 1 GS final due to not being able to adapt properly to the wind. This was one of them, those who watched it live remember that the wind was brutal that day. Some people might think I’m making an excuse but I’m not. One skill is being adaptable to the various conditions, and Nole is notoriously BAD in windy conditions. At least he made it competitive, deserved win from Murray
Go on yersell Andy, SCOTLANDS NUMBER ONE 👍🏴🏴🏴
Gift from friend
Love the little moment where Andy gives an absolutely normal point winning reaction, almost as if he doesn't know why everyone is standing up, before realising that he has won his first grand slam!
you need a little luck for your first grand slam win esp. against novak. for murray that was the wind. it basically took novak's legs away. by 3/2 in the fifth you could see novak was done. being the heavier stronger guy the wind had less impact so murray had more energy in the fifth.
and the crowd went mild
Andy Murray's probably the 4th most gifted tennis player in history. Too bad he had to be in the same era as the big 3.
Peak AM??!! ❤❤❤
Boringggg
It was a matter of time and it won me a few quid, I like Murray wish him all the best , his body is smashed up a bit now so have a break , look after your family and your business empire. I wish he had stayed with the Fred Perry logo though, sold out a bit there but I know money talks….
Sir Andy Murray, 12 y after your maiden GS we salute your superb talent, tenacity, tennis skills and all you have achieved in tennis. The way you closed out this 5th set was a joy 🎉 we salute you
In the days before Murray could afford to spend more than £2.50 on his kit
Look, somebody losing grand slam finals to Murray can’t be the GOAT. So take Raonic out of the equation.
3:22 速攻強打のフェデラーやゴリゴリ削るナダルと違って両者とも守備的なスタイルだからラリー長くなるのかな
