My clubs are 20 years old, Cleveland Launcher 460 Titanium, Taylor Made Rac LT Irons and Cleveland CG10 wedges, all stiff shafts, finally started playing golf more consistently after a few year’s hiatus.
I went to Dicks today to look at a Sim2 Max and decided to do a $39 club fitting and hit different drivers. All 10.5° Stiff flex swing speed is 95-98 on driver and 88mph in irons
I tried the Taylor Made Stealth, Sim 2 Max and then he brought me the Ping G430 and told me to give it a try. I was like Ping? Well even my miss hits were in play, holy cow I really didn’t want to like this driver.
BUT I told the guy do you mind if I try the other two clubs again because I really don’t think I was warmed up and really want to make sure. Well shoot, I just didn’t hit the Taylor Made drivers good at all!! But I was hitting the Taylor Nade P790s really nice but will wait for spring or maybe a Black Friday Deal!!!

Should’ve tried the callaway. I hit the ping the best but it’s so freaking hideous. Callaway was the 2nd best driver I hit.
Just switched to a g410 plus from a pxg 0211 can feel the difference in the forgiveness in the face.
Nice I tried one and it was LOUD as hell. Great club.

You see a ton of Ping drivers out there for a reason. They’re good! I’ve always preferred Taylormade long sticks, but wouldn’t say no if I was crushing a Ping some day.
I play the G430 SFT and it has been a huge help. I’m a lifelong slicer with very steep launch angle. I’ve changed my grip along with using this club and I now have a lower launch angle and I can hit straight down a fairway.
I got fitted for a 430 max and now i love the driver. Great forgiveness and accuracy
Mmm stiff, long and straight, just the way I like it. That 10K is something else, not just a marketing gimmick.
Ping makes great clubs, but especially this driver. You’ll love that thing for years to come. Congratulations!
I still play the 400 LST. Sure, the TM might be 5 yards longer or whatever, but the Ping woods are so forgiving it’s obscene.
Got the G430 10k and started off the year hitting it really well (at BPB had some amazing drives). Then it’s been shit lately
I had the G430 MAX 10K. High hopes. Gave it a couple of weeks to adjust to its feel. Never happened so I dumped it and went to Titleist.
I’ve had one for about a month and love it. I especially love how I can still work the ball with it. And by that I mean I can still slice it into the next county. But I feel much better doing it now. Also poorer.
Seriously it is very forgiving. Looks good, feels good, sounds good. Lots more confidence standing over this club.

After around 8 different and expensive drivers in last 10 years, I went back to my G25 and loving it all over again.. genuinely can’t believe its laid idle in garage while I struggled through expensive overhyped nails
I was the opposite lmao I wanted so badly to like the ping because of how good the reviews were. I just couldn’t hit the damn thing at all.
The club felt so heavy to me that I couldn’t keep my swing speed…. I have a high swing speed and high balls speed. For whatever reason I just could not hit the thing straight. I ended up getting lucky and upgraded to the Callaway AI smoke TD Max head and I’ve never been more consistent in my life.
I tried to like it too but it spun too much for me. Ended up going with the Cobra Darkspeed X instead. It was literally 1000 rpm lower, and 25 yard longer for me using same shaft and loft (95 mph average swing speed).
I just got the same club and I am loving it. I was playing a Nike Vapor Pro before so the green and black theme continues.
Why? Ping makes a great driver.
This is the most forgiving driver I’ve ever hit. You’re going to love it.
I got fitted into a Callaway AI Smoke triple diamond….which as one of the more expensive drivers was annoying….but the stats didn’t lie. Dispersion, carry distance, spin, launch etc were all better for that driver than anything else.
