What is the ruling when a player’s (Paul Casey) ball after a stroke ricochets off something and bounces back into the player, hitting himself?
ANSWER
As per Rule 11.1, there is no penalty if a player’s ball is accidentally deflected or stopped by any person. The player is to play the ball as it lies.
After a stroke from on the putting green, if a player’s ball hits himself, the player must cancel and replay the stroke.
