Quest to break 100 continues

Posted a few weeks ago about returning to the game and trying to find myself a consistent swing that could get me below 100 and in best case hit 5-8 greens per round. Was close the last round I played but a drive on 18th that I thought was in play was nowhere to be found – course was packed, didn’t want to walk back to hit another so a disappointing “-“ ruined the scorecard.

Anyway, lately I’ve been working on my backswing path (ditch the inside takeaway), balance on my feet (weight off toes), hip action in the downswing and not pulling my arms across my body in the backswing, more like keeping width in front of the body.

My natural ball flight seems to be a fade, with an occasional pull mixed in.

Now I’m self-diagnosing that:
– Posture too hunched over, too much bend at the hips
– Takeaway a little on the outside, however ATM I’m OK with this as I’m coming from a recent inside takeaway
– Arms go a little bit too high in the backswing
– Hands keep moving after I’m done with my shoulder turn, so there’s some separation there. Could shorten the arm swing a bit
– I could start the transitioning hip action a bit earlier
– I’m still a bit steep in the downswing. Not as much as before but just a little (see above re. high hands, arm and shoulder separation before transition)
– I could still use my trail foot in different manner in the downswing, I still lift my right heel instead of rolling the foot
– After impact I release and extend my trail arm a bit left of the target, could “shake hands with the target” better

Would you agree with this, or are there any other glaring faults I could address?

If your overall goal is to break 100, this swing will do it. Work on the short game 10x more than the swing.

You’re _very steep_, starting from just beyond the takeaway, you give up rotating and let your arms get high.

Work on swings where the entire takeaway and backswing feels like it’s driven by your hips/core/shoulders turning back.

Practice chipping and putting for an hour a week and I bet you break 100 in 2 months.
