Srixon Q Star Tour Divide Review |2024|

A long time favorite on the channel. The original Divide ranked #6 on our Top 100 Golf Ball list. Can the updated models over the last two years maintain that spot, or has the market slowly caught up and passed it? Let’s find out!

  1. First view! Love the channel. I'm currently a 10 handicap with a high swing speed. I tried the maxfli tour and tour x, but they were so hard and didn't seem to spin well for me around the greens. Not to sound like everyone else, but I do like a prov1, but they are so expensive. Any recommendations

  2. Golf Ball Addict Crew! My go to is the Q Star Tour Yellow. The divide has a Matt finish which I feel doesn’t spin enough on short pitches.

  3. I had a really poor experience with this ball since it’s been updated (the regular white version). Felt like a rock the entire time for some reason, way different type of flight patterns compared to other balls. Having great success with other balls that are high up in your ratings though! Thanks for the reviews.

  4. I played this ball and won a Senior series event. I have since switched to the Z star Divide. Better ball for the price.

  5. I just started playing, and was using the Kirkland balls for a while just because of the price point. Initially got these because the contrasting colors made it a lot easier to find my balls, but found I was able to get an extra 30-40 yards out of these! Needless to say I’ve been exclusively using them since, but noticed my most recent box didn’t seem as consistent as they have been.

One spot of curiosity, does anyone happen to have a spreadsheet with all these tests? I’d love to do a stare and compare sometime!

  6. Would you consider doing a running excel doc or a table on a website with all of the data from your tests?

  7. Definitely test the regular Q Star Tour. There is a difference between the two. I play the regular Q Star Tours and was given a box of the divided as a gift. They were like night and day. Feel and spin are drastically different.

  8. I think the value and performance of this ball has dropped. Better figures and more value from other balls you have tested. Sorry Nick this ball would not fill me with confidence.

  9. Love the divide concept but I agree with most of this review. I didn't notice any appreciable gains from other golf balls in the similar price range, (Tour BRX, Tour Response). I love Srixon stuff in general but I do wonder if the regular white Q-star tour performs differently. I do have a dozen left to try out so I can comment about it at a later time.

  10. I used these on a few holes. The miss hits are bad. Don't like using coloured balls on the course but the alignment tool is decent. They spin ok sometimes but often found myself praying they stick. They feel way too soft and I lost a ton of distance on my drive. Absolutely pounded a driver and lost probably 30 yards. Was like hitting a weightless pillow. Not a fan of these.

  11. People want consistency and these are not matching the price. That spin is crazy low when coupled with that low launch. You better hope the green is mud & landing on a 60% descent angle.

  12. I kind of had the same feeling about them. Got some earlier this year to try. Not a bad ball, but not great or consistent enough of an improvement to justify the cost. I just ordered a five dozen set of the Vice Pro Air. I think those are going to be my gamer ball. Better performance than the Supersofts I’m using now and they actually provide some feedback.

  13. My friend told me he contacted you about Cut golf balls – I told him how positive you were about Cut !
Glad the two of you connected.

  14. This is zn incredible ball. Stops as well and better than a lot of premium balls. Can't wait to hear your take.

  15. Where do you live where it cost that much? Where I live they are still 32.99
This golf ball is okay. My chipping is really good with this ball. I have the blue and yellow. I haven't played with them yet because they are my emergency balls. I still have Nike MOJO balls in my golf bag lol.

  16. Yeah, this ain’t it, bud. You had 15 feet of rollout on the 7i. Compared to the ERC and the Tour Response in the similar price bracket, no way I’d recommend this.

Also, don’t sleep on the Z-Star Diamond.

  17. Good honest review Nick. Thanks. I always thought that these would be my next ball to try. Rave reviews on Dick's made it seem like the best thing since sliced bread. Your finding show otherwise and I'm not interested in the matte divide. Perhaps if the gloss tests better, then yeah, maybe. There's still the last version for sale for five bucks less/dozen. I'd like to know your opinion comparing the previous and today's versions.

  18. Hi there I love this ball. I play Blueprint s irons and swing my 7 iron about 60 mph. The ball flies high and spins like crazy ! The durability is amazing so this 70 year old from England loves it. These tests you do would be very interesting at my swing speed for seniors. Cheers mate 😊😊😊
