I personally don’t want my left leg straightened at impact. Why do you?

For me there’s a sweet spot in the backswing where you just naturally need to plant the left foot and rotate the hips. It was a real process to figure out the feel. In the backswing you should be loading your right hip and when you feel the sweet spot transfer your weight to the front (left) foot and push into the ground to rotate the hips. Without getting out of your posture you load the left foot and try to get your hips out of the way. Your body will feel it if you practice enough. I developed the feel without hitting balls and just swinging the club to try to get a sense of what felt natural.
