Trae Young has an interesting crossroads coming up with Atlanta and could eventually take his talents elsewhere. Now while Trae's low height and lack of defensive skills has long been looked at as a huge weakness in his game and believability as a star, two great skills Trae has is his ability to be a clutch scorer and a solid assist passer 🔥….
Plus Young has not yet gotten the chance to work with a true superstar but if Brooklyn was able to cash in on the 2025 and 2026 drafts, Young could potentially be an option at point guard for the Nets….
Young and Claxton specifically could be a fun duo especially given Claxton can be an anchor on defense and be a true lob threat at the rim receiving Trae's assist dunk passes 🔥… Now if Brooklyn drafts either Cooper or Ace both of them would offensively benefit off of Trae's assist passes and defensively would strengthen the front court alongside Claxton and Clowney which would take a lot of defensive pressure off of Young and somewhat protect him on that side of the game….
Overall while it's not likely going to happen at the present, Brooklyn has the chance to utilize the upcoming two drafts to the fullest extent to get one or two top draft prospects and have a solid core that could potentially be enticing to Trae who could provide a good impact on this team 😁…..
Brooklyn fans definitely need to look into Olivier Rioux's insane physical profile and potential 😮🔥….
The unfathomable fact that he's 7 9 😨 and doesn't even need to jump to score a bucket is unreal 💪😁….
Now the questions could be can he move laterally on the court and can he defensively catch up with the speed of the NBA are very valid 🤔…..
But there is no doubt that there is huge potential with developing one of the tallest prospects in college in Olivier Rioux and hopefully he can have a great college season 😁….
I assumed they meant Hawks should trade for Claxton to pair him w/ Trae in Atlanta, come Oct. 4th. Maybe Clint, 2027 unprotected 1st, and a few 2nds for Claxton.
