Today, Ian is in the bay testing the all-new Apex Ai200 Irons. These hollow-body designs are designed to blend performance and precision in a player’s distance iron.

Built to capitalize on consistent Ball Speed, Spin, and Dispersion. But does the Apex Ai200 achieve this incredible consistency through the Ai Smart Face?

  1. Disappointing clubs. They might have ruined the Apex club. Robot test (from another clubfitter chain) showed Apex 21 was the tightest dispersion both front to back and side to side. Now it’s among one of the worst north/south on the market. Low contact is horror. Congrats to all involved!

  2. I wish you would do a video comparing the durability of forged irons vs cast irons for their grooves! I go with cast because I can’t buy new irons as often as I would really wish. Can’t wait for the Ti Fusion review!

  3. Bummer, my timing is off as I just got fitted at CC Charlotte and received my new irons a week ago and would have liked these as an option…

  4. Could a mid-low handicap with a fast swing speed play these? Or will dispersion vary too much with a faster swing speed?

  5. Hi Ian! Nicely done. Starting to rethink my iron choices after 60 years, HaHa, and I think these Apex irons might be right in my wheelhouse. Why, height, distance, feel and if actually looks like an Apex.

What do you recommend from the PW at 43 degrees and down??

  6. They look nice but definitely the better player would like the Apex Pro series more. The low handicap consumers want the updated TCB’s.

  7. So the P790 competitor from Callaway is now gone? I guess when I sell my Apex 21s they’ll be worth more than last week 😂

  8. Any chance you can do a video comparing older iron models (within the same family) to newer versions? Would love to see how the data compares.

  9. The CF 16’s were the worst quality of iron I’ve ever owned. Other than the OH 2014 Apex. Badges falling off, club chatter, and browning after a couple of months. Never bought another Callaway product.

  10. Great video and great iron. I have the custom Blue MIM weight coming in mine! These irons are more consistent than anything that I have hit and i'm getting out of my p790s.

  11. Theyre rockets haha tried them in the shop a few weeks back when the rep brought them in. 7 iron was still in the air at 193 when it hit the top of a tree behind the hole 😂

  12. Callaway will not change the weight port in the back, they are all 7 grams, sent my set back as swingweights were all over the place and they had no replacements, they had to take the tip weights out.

  13. How similar are these to the Apex 2021s (non-pro). I was thinking of getting the pros but mine still are fine and I love the forgiveness they provide

  14. This is the first video on this channel where I’ve thought they really don’t like these but can’t actually say it.

  15. These peak heights are not very consistent. All tests, from multiple reviews, seem to indicate that these just aren't very consistent irons.

  16. My trusty blades keep getting better and better. You get what you earn and know what you get with pure, honest feedback. Some of the new irons being released don’t seem to be too convincing. Great point about the lack of offset in long irons and the short irons having too much. Should definitely be reversed. Great analysis and I wonder which company will be first to get that done. Thanks again, Lads.

  17. The local price of the Apex AI 200 in Australia is $2,449 in Australia for 4-PW. The Apex 21 model is $1,500. Surely no amount of new " AI tech" can justify that price jump? Madness.

  18. 1:12 honestly I think it should be more standard to let a model "live" for 3-4 years instead of putting out a new model every year that's only barely different than the previous model.
