Fixing your weak slice

To fix a slice, there are two pieces of the puzzle that need to be fixed: an open face and club path that is too far to left (for a right handed golfer).

This video is about fixing the latter. In my opinion, you have to fix the face first because the path is usually a reaction to an open face; however, this is still important because the shaft can still move in a suboptimal manner even if the face is in a better position.

Release the bicep curl. This will allow your shoulder to stay in its current position, whereas the slicer gets the shoulder to internally rotate and punches down on the ball, causing a steep shaft alignment.

When you lower the hands more behind you, the body has the ability to rotate without the hand path being compromised.

Happy Golfing.
