  1. Re: Hodges comments on Essendon… I agree Hawks were in the same camp in the first five rounds this year now they’re flying… Players just need to turn a mental corner…

  2. I wonder why Hodge is so indifferent with the Hawks. It seems like comparatively he wets himself every time he gets to talk about his mates at Brisbane.

  3. Starts with the board and senior supporters. Everyone burnishing their ego through involvement with the might of Essendon (or Carlton), nobody willing to recognise football merit > corporate cachet. Clubs that win have boards of skilled persons giving back to the community. Clubs that are garbage have boards of people using the club brand for themselves.

  4. If they remove insufficient intent and just have last touch including spoils no grey everybody would get use to it and move on… easier to umpire. Only throw ins when not sure who touched it.

  5. I actually thought it was the umpire at the previous contest that tells the next umpure to pay it as they saw the disposal. I could be wrong though

  6. Brisbane will win the flag. We knew that last September.
And my Blues have offered up her supporters to ridicule
for decades. Very similar to the England national team.
They have already lost a generation of new fans.

  7. Funny longmire can say what he likes did not like Fly ??s umpires , l found it quesionable umpireing especially on Cox deliberate maybe little on McStay too however concede noise may of played into it all commentators said 50 meter penalty for sure ?. Swans / longmire are protected When they longmire speak out or complains no issues umpiring or other issues with Afll nothing to answer for ?Fly for his first time speaks out about pies bang he's cautioned by biased Afl make you ?? Afl , Voss can complain , C Scott , Fagan , no issues ! I personally think Fly was right on the money Afl

  8. I think fatigue and injuries is a sign of seasons more demanding and equalised is overwhelming AFL players physically and mentally. There has been a list of teams that have played a purple patch of form and crash and burn of successive losses. Brisbane, Sydney, Carlton and GWS are good examples, even West Coast all be it 5 week patch not 10 because there in a rebuild, but they almost won 4 out 5 before a 99 point whacking from Adelaide and Sydney who won 10 straight just crawled over the line against Collingwood to avoid 6 losses from their last 7 games.

  9. 6-7 weeks ago these pundits were talking Carlton up and now they are talking Hawthorn up. Its a war of attrition, Hawthorn and Port seem to be the two healthiest teams at the moment.
But it only takes a few injuries and it all turns around for the worse.
You cant pick this season, last man standing will win it.

  10. Had to laugh about the Tottenham comparison. Tottenham attacks and then gets torn open defensively with their stupid high line.

  11. I have really come to appreciate you guys for your knowledge of the game. Your ability to pull assorted stats and facts together into a coherent picture is really impressive. Luke Hodge in particular, but all of you guys work together really well to analyse everything.

    Great show guys. Thank you
