The Giants preseason game just made this the only thing that matters!

  1. Need? yes! Most pressing need? I would wholeheartedly disagree . For that I would say d-line. If Goff goes down, there is no real hope at back up. It truly is a season killer regardless of who it is. Yeah, there are backups that come out of nowhere, but by and large, if Goff goes down, we are out. It would be nice to have that security and that is why they drafted Hooker. Hopefully he works out and stays healthy. Of all available players out there via trade or pickup, anyone want one of the QBs and think we will go to Superbowl with them and not Goff? Now ask yourself the same question with D-line or even Online depth. Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. Goff or bust. Crappy way to play, but that's the boat for everyone. Subfield is trash Dave. On the field, might be a great guy, but he needs to nothing but hold a clipboard, ever.

  2. Hooker was solid cept for wanting to run over every defender, plz slide. Nate knows the playbook. He's there for practice knowing no team is going to pick him up if Lions go with 2 QBs at some time during the year (this is genius) and Jared Goff who plays hurt. Dude might not be human. Ever seen Goff breaking off his thumb then snaps next play to analyze the damage by throwing a pass w/o a thumb? That's what a cyborg does https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImHFWuYTdys&t=15s

  3. I saw a lot of Mano out there, very cool. He's going to start at some time this year. Vaki was fluid, still rooting for JJ. Lions are keeping 5 RBs and Malcolm at FB/LB

  4. What's wrong with Nate and Hendon? I don't understand it with all that 3rd string and soon to be cut talent surrounding them. Hey remember when the Lions were just loveable losers? Relax

  5. Adrian Martinez may get cut by the Jets before the season starts.
I think the Lions should try to bring him back again.

    Sudfeld sucks

  6. I was impressed with Hendon. He hasn’t played live snaps in years. Also you say that qb is all abt throwing, but with our o-line, and our rb’s, we could honestly use hooker in a fields/hurts type role and just rely on running the ball. Obv this is only if Goff can’t play

  7. Sudfeld needs permanent walking papers to never grace his inferior crappy play in Detroits hallowed halls ever again. Why on earth to they keep giving this dimestore quarterback a chance? He plain out and out sucks and will never be an NFL quarterback in any capacity. Face the truth Lions and just DO something about this cause Hooker isn’t the answer. At least this year he isn’t. He needs a year to develop.

  8. The reason people aren’t thrilled and everybody’s worrying is because they’re not as confident in the team as they thought they were. It was a preseason game. It was the first game wow you guys really suck at being fans if you can’t take one preseason game and relax you guys are gonna have a long long season.

  9. Dude Hendon Hooker looked good. Everyone needs to stop. This is ridiculous.

We didn’t have one starter on offense in any quarter . The back ups to the back ups for lineman and wide receivers are absolutely atrocious..

Hooker did amazing with the cards that were dealt to him. He hasn’t played in two years. He’s excited give me a break you guys.

Sudfeld is it old shriveled up raisin and I don’t really need to see him play anymore . The only reason I would watch him play because I think no team should not play a back up quarterback in preseason because there’s a good chance for all these players that are playing so hard just to make an NFL team that your back up could get injured.

  10. I thought Hooker showed a lot. He had more tuff runs in one quarter in his first game than Jordan Love had in four years!?! And he had one pass where he stood calmly in the pocket took a shot right in the chops and still got off a good pass. He’s definitely the future #2 no doubt.

  11. Hooker needs time. Sudfield is not the guy. Bringing in a QB is necessary for the Lions’ success. We are on the verge of seeing something special, but with the current backups, we do not have a safety cushion. Hopefully Brad can cook something good up in the next couple of weeks.
