Mine would have been the 7 iron. Get it over the fringe then run from there.
I'm A 56 guy and a 16 handicap. My buddy putts from 50 yards and is a 4 handicap. Go figure. I guess it always comes down to what you practice with and essentially, it's like putting. It's a personal thing, whatever works for you
I use 56 mainly. You seemed to take more care with the first attempt and could feel the ball on the clubface. Lesson here was don’t use the putter, which I would do if a good bit closer to the green.
Use either 8i , W or SW from that sort of distance.
