Tommy Fleetwood and wife Clare set a deadline as they tried to figure out if their working relationship was feasible.
The 33-year-old golf star, who carded a four-under-par 67 in the first round of the Olympic tournament on Thursday, tied the knot with Clare, who is 23 years his senior, back in 2017. Before sparks flew between them, Clare was Tommy’s manager.
Because of the significant age gap, Clare initially resisted Tommy’s romantic advances before they eventually became an item. The pair then questioned whether they could maintain a professional relationship, with Clare considering stepping down from her role as Tommy’s manager. However, after giving it a trial run, they decided to maintain the status quo.
