Zhanle made his comments in an interview with a Chinese broadcaster after the men’s 100m freestyle final in which he broke the world record. Chalmers labelled the allegation towards him ‘a bit weird’ and added: ‘We had a laugh together at warm-down last night – but no issues from my end.’

  1. This doping accusation also happened when Michael Phelps won multiple gold medals. Smeraing has gone too far. Show us the results of the tests for all countries and we will be the judge.

  2. Well, apparently the Chinese team is the most tested team in the tournament and until he's shown to be positive it's just sour grapes by the Australians and Americans.

  3. I thought this is an english news paper. Want a dictionary to check the meaning for “accusing”. I can gift one!

  4. So what if he did accuse? What can they do about it? Cry like a sour loser after already being rude?

  5. All Olympic swimmers look down on chinese, because they don't even deserve to Be at the Olympics. Chalmers was paid not to protest and act accepting, but he knows that swim time is impossible without training with drugs to pump up the bodies endurance. First place was voided this year in any honest persons mind.

  6. Racism is disgusting. Pan Zhanle won the gold with the world record and should be celebrated around the world!!! Long live Chinese athletes and success 🙂

  7. That is normal if you compete in the highest level. It happens in almost on every sports specially in Olympic. After the race its a different story. ✌️

  8. Pan was simply sharing a fact, and asking permissions. This is not ‘accuse’. And he was 19 yrs old. Not matter his ethnicity, he set a new WR and deserves our respect❤

  9. From a mid-western dude, this guy is simply brilliant, don’t be shy to express yourself! Let the world know champ!

  10. PAN also acknowledged Chalmers was friendly when two meeting each other face to face. What Chalmer did was liking the post of a low grade swim coach implying PAN used illicit drugs. Upon being accused of being a hypocrite, Chalmers cancelled his like.

  11. The truth is they do, and the whole world looks down on you. Prolific steroid abuse by Chinese, match fixing (table tennis) and the behaviour of Olympic officials, and Chinese against the Taiwanese sports people and spectators. You've earned your own badge, now live with it, and report me to the CCP!

  12. When do these colonists realise, they all look the same exactly. Why act like someone's looking up for you?😂

  13. The name 'Pan' is definitely giving all the collective West and the USA swimmers never ending sleepless nights ahead. 🤭🤫😂

  14. Not surprised. The Aussie coach also “accused” that it was impossible for Pan to have such a lead. Flat out racist.

  15. I believe the reason WADA officials are turning a blind eye to the fact that many of the Chinese athletes in this tournament are doping with the illegal drug TMZ is because they are receiving huge bribes.

  16. The other US and Aus swimmers received lots of social media hate and pressure so they changed their tune. Their respective coaches went on interviews and social media bashing and accusing Chinese swimmers of possible doping. Including Michael Phelps who also later changed and retracted his un-sportsmanship comments. The guy tested 21 times! How many were the US swimmers tested? People need to accept it and acknowledge it! Stop being sore losers!

  17. Sidney McLaughlin best Femk vol by like 40 m. Definitely human possible haha American can NEVR shed UST white privilege

  18. All these bot comments are cute

But maybe if they guys country wasn't going around doing all the nonsense theyre doing regarding stealing resources and trying to steal ocean territory from their neighbors -they wouldn't be looked down on so much. They should be happy they even get to compete. Doesn't Taiwan not even get a flag or some bull like that? And Taiwan is like 4x a better country than china will ever be and they're stuck on an island.

  19. Sports should be a platform forequality and respect, where athletes from all countries are treated fairly. Insulting Chinese athletes online is not only disrespectful but also promotes discrimination. This behavior is disgraceful and unacceptable.
