An interesting take. I just finished a sermon on this very topic from God's perspective (the Bible). God shows us there is a spiritual battle for the souls of inidividuals. He is a destroyer, the tempter, the liar, deceiver, slanderer, the oppressors, etc. He hates God, God's Son, God's children, and God's chosen nation, Israel. This is the reason for the attacks on Christians worldwide. We don't see it too much here yet. The Last Supper is a picture of the heart and soul of Christianity, and not just Christianity, but it's Christ that's being attacked. The Lord's Supper is a remembrance of the body and blood of Jesus Christ that were given for all men (women and children). The blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin. The death makes the covenant (testament, will, promise) of God effective for all who repent of their sin and put their faith in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross where He took our punishment on Himself. This could be much, much longer, but I want you to read and consider it. Why do I write these things? I'm telling you the good news that Jesus has commissioned me to proclaim. Consider these verses of Scripture:1 Peter 5:8, John 8:39-47, 1 John 5:9-12, John 3:36, 1 John 1:7, Ephesians 1:7, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, and much, much more truth from our Holy and Loving God.
