    I was taught: if you can putt, then putt. Only chip if you can’t putt. Normally this is applied when the ball is off the green (on the apron). Perhaps I should consider chipping when I can putt, but the only thing worse than my putting is my chipping.

    I tend to get the yips on long putts so I’ll chip using a 7 iron with a semi putting stroke. Works really good for me.

  9. I could putt that to within 10 ft of the hole. If I chipped that, I’d take a divot out of the green, be as far away as when I started, piss myself because I was on TV, then 3 putt from the new position.
