  1. After reading some of the comments, I think everyone knows that most people at the top of their craft are eccentric people. Much of the time, it takes an out-of-the-ordinary personality to become exceptional at something that is so physically and mentally demanding. I say that because if people can get past personality, they can appreciate what we watch when Gordon competes.

I think Josh has won 2022 and 2023 ADCC Asian trials now and only had one match that didn't end in submission. Not sure yet where he stands (we have to see him against the other trail winners on Aug 16th) but he's definitely not a push-over. Even if Gordon eventually fails to deal with another competitor's athleticism (or less-likely their mind), it's hard to deny that he has one of the sharpest intellects for Jiu Jitsu. It's a pleasure to watch and learn.

  2. May be the best at juiced jitsu.. but that small row of teeth and your lisp will always make you sound like a 14 year old dork.

  3. Gordon Ryan’s health problems are a consequence of long term use of anabolic steroids. The chronic use of any type of steroids weakens your immune system and allows microorganisms to flare up.

His stomach problems are an example of this. A fungi infection as a consequence of steroids. Also, they fuck your kidneys and other organs.

Recovering from this is way harder than everyone thinks. How ever, you reap what you sow.
