NINA KENNEDY WINS OLYMPIC POLE VAULT GOLD FOR AUSTRALIA, BEATS KATIE MOON | PRESS CONFERENCE



Nina Kennedy won the women’s pole vault at the Paris 2024 Olympics, clearing a height of 4.90m. Her gold is the first at an Olympics by an Australian female vaulter. Reigning Olympic champ Katie Moon finished in silver, and Alysha Newman broke the Canadian record to win bronze.

  1. The host twice stated that Katie and Nina tied for gold in the previous Olympics (Tokyo 2021). Actually, it was in the 2023 World Championships that they tied for gold. Inexcusible for him to be unprepared like that.

  2. I vote against a coaches box. Actually, I'm against coaches in general. The 3×3 basketball is great with the coaches not allowed near the court. That's a nice thing about track too. Don't change that.

  3. The mental battle continues after the competition. Don’t get sucked into the US narrative. Well done Nina you little champ Go Aussies.
