here we go again with Rick putting clubs he cant hit into his bag. He is the opposite of what he tells his viewers to do. He always pretends hes better than he is.

Why don’t you test the takomo’s?
The 770’s are more forgiving and still a really nice looking club, basically same type as my MP-18mmc which are like a blade with a slight cavity, all forged. Grant was even using the 770’s a full set up until he mixed these in and even with his video with Trotty you can tell they arent nearly as fogiving for him, and hes one of the most consistent ball strikers on youtube with the silkiest swing going!
Hey Rick, I think if you'd throttle back a bit you'd gain a lot more control and consistency with your irons — probably get rid of that big hook you seem to come up with now and then. That being said, like any better than average golfer you can play pretty much any irons you like. All the little tweaks and forgiveness features won't mean a lot to the quality of your typical strike.

I think the slightly bigger face is a good move for you, Rick.
Would love to see you play what you're truly comfortable with. No need to shell out for Brands or sponsorships, etc. Practice what most pros preach and just play what feels good and what works best for you!

If bigger grips make you hit it more right as according to your jumbo grip review, why don’t you get midsize grips for your irons?
I've just got myself a set (5-PW) of the P7-MC's, upgraded from the Callaway edge and my first round was just over my average (101) and I wasn't doing my best ball strikes and swinging quite easy with them for the first round so I'm very happy with them =]
You should play the Kirkland 790.. That what the game I watch is telling me.

Honest question: If very good Ball-strikes Like Grant horvat play p770s maybe they are also better fitting for you? It makes me think p790 are the the top end for me at the Moment.
Im not good enough to recommend anything…but I think you should have a set that’s in the bag for two years at a time minimum but you can still do a break 75 here and there with different irons in the bag for a specific round. Just a thought 🍻

Here’s a question. It looks like you demo new clubs built to spec on a previous fitting. Does that mean one fitting will do you for decades until you age out of stiff or xstiff shafts??

Rick, you should consider testing and gaming the Ping G430 irons!!! Super forgiving and they might give you that distance bump you're looking for!!
