RIP Roddy Ranch. That was by far my favorite Contra Costa Course and an unbelievable value.
Brentwood is…okay. I think it's a pretty fun design overall and has so much potential, but the conditions more often than not are mediocre-to-terrible, and pace of play is usually really slow. If they figured out their maintenance issues and got a marshal out there every once in a while, Brentwood could be a truly great course, but I've played it a handful of times over the past couple years and never left wanting more. Still, I think it would be worth playing at some point for your channel.
The old Pittsburg course was such a gem. $25 for a round and a hot dog at the turn
Shadow Lakes is back! At least the front 9 are! Found the price of $50 total for two of us with a cart last week pretty reasonable. And there is a great sushi & ramen place with a bar right across the street from the parking lot.

Thanks for the summary of the CoCo courses. I've played them all and enjoyed them for different reasons. Diablo Hills for iron practice, Boundary Oaks for competitive rounds, Lone Tree to practice in the wind, Franklin Canyon the scenery up in the hills and Diablo Creek because it was close to my house, Clayton. I'll be coming back in April if you want to play a round. Cheers.
Damn your short game seems locked it, very nice. Love this breakdown as I've played every course featured and mentioned besides the executive 9 hole courses. I'm probably going to play Buchanan fields very soon now that the weather is getting nice. Great stuff Lukie.
Lukie love the content! Live in Concord, CA so I’ve played all these courses tons of times. My favorite was delta view before it closed. The City of Pittsburg really screwed the pooch on that one. The original 9 that was co designed by Alister Mackenzie was an absolute gem. The routing was fantastic running through the canyon. Keep it up! Maybe I’ll see you out there!
