Just wanted to post a picture of my diy garage sim and some of the updates I’ve made since I started earlier this year. Cleaned up the garage and had a mini-split installed. Added a Sigpro Softy hitting mat and built a front ramp for easy putting and ball retrieval. I didn’t want to build a platform since we still plan on parking in the garage when necessary. Also added the Uneekor swing optix cameras.

I stream my computer from my office through Sunshine/Moonlight and an Nvidia shield that is connected directly to the projector. There’s a sound bar above the hitting area and this setup has been working very well.

I included pictures to capture the evolution of my garage setup over time. It all started with just a hitting mat, net, and skytrak. After about a month or two of that I knew I wanted to step up to something better.

Here’s an old video of how the impact screen rolls up: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbTGaIvrHf4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbTGaIvrHf4)

Wife has been super supportive of the setup and uses it to entertain her guests by watching movies in the garage. Using this with lessons has been amazing and I’m looking forward to see how I do next time I play real golf.

Nice work! I’m considering something similar. How high is your ceiling?

How different is it now from the skytrak days? I just got a Mat and spornia net, but the Mevo I have doesn’t give info on if I’m slicing the ball which is my biggest concern. I’d like to step up to a setup where I have a screen that I can do some sim golf just into the net that I have.

All in, how much would you say this cost (not the sim/software, but the other stuff)

How are you planning to move the “grass” when you need to park there? I’ve been wanting to do something retractable so I can park there occasionally, but the carpet has to be dealt with. I could get a garage floor mat but I have cushion under some of the carpet to save my elbows/wrists. Parking on it would make smush it (though perhaps I could just move it between the carpet and the hitting pad).
