RULES

In golf you must “play the ball as it lies” even when the ball is in the TREE. #pgatour #greatshots

Golf Rule 9 covers a central principle of the game: “play the ball as it lies.” A golfer must take their shot from wherever their ball has come to rest on the course. If you cannot play the shot then, you can deem it unplayable and will be a penalty of 1 stroke. Of course, you have the option to play a shot if you have. In this case climb up a tree and hit the ball out.
