Wyndham Clark has been following a special diet to bite into the gold at Le Golf National in his Olympic debut. Although he hasn’t made a good start at Le Golf National, if he ends up winning a medal, his diet might become the golden benchmark.
🥗 To be a massive force on the course, he needs fuel that comes from something that’s gluten-free, particularly oats. It seems like a bowl of oats with some fruits like bananas, berries, and some granola happens to be the go-to choice.
For the pre-round diet, Clark likes to keep it light with a bottle of water with electrolytes to take afterward.
🥗 During the round he eats carbs more with applesauce for a balanced sugar level. One might notice Clark chewing on a gluten-free almond butter sandwich, a protein bar, nuts, and jerky from time to time during the rounds.
🥗 Post-round, the 3-time PGA Tour winner loads up on protein salad with starches and grains mixed with it. And although his day eating is light, Clark loads up on dinner with a typical plate of fish with rice and veggies and calls it a “clean and boring” diet.
One thing that Clark avoids at all costs is eating a huge amount of food at one time. He explained that doing that messes up sugar levels and a lot of food can deteriorate his focus and throw him off. Another thing that’s a constant in Clark’s diet is tacos. He could be a Tacos connoisseur at this point, as his Instagram stories bear witness to his love for the Mexican specialty.
The stable diet has worked for Clark in the past, as he has picked up some wins on the PGA Tour. It remains to be seen if it will give him enough energy to battle it out at the Summer Olympics and grab a gold.
