How To Shallow The Golf Club Without Spine Tilt! (Live Lesson)



In an attempt to shallow the golf club for an in to out path, many use spine tilt. In this golf lesson with AJ, we cover a better way!

In this live lesson, AJ, a solid player showed up struggling with contact, notably some chunks and toe strikes. He quickly learned that his tendency to hang back and tilt away from the target with irons was causing much of his issues.

  3. Love how you tied all the key elements of the system in just one hour (obviously the student looks like a good player so was able to digest quickly). They "get the left side of your rib cage down and then around" is SUCH a great feel and worked wonders here. Shallowing this way also keeps bottom point further up, Id reckon – providing better consistency.

  4. I love how simple you make the golf swing, and your explanations as to why you need to do certain things in the swing is fantastic.

  5. This is the pattern that I default to as well. What has helped me has been to think "left hip stays down" when I sit back in transition.

    I tried other feels that do the same thing like "left shoulder down and around" and "left shoulder away from left ear" but I didn't like them as much.

    When I do this correctly it brings my low point forward and feels more "compressed".
