When I was camping I brought a couple putters and just hung up an old tshirt with my shoelaces in between two trees. Only to reduce the amount of chips I put in the rims. Cuz I use softer plastic for my putters.
My course is on the other side of town so I do exactly this all the time. I also am crazy and will throw discs on an empty parking lot with lights on at night. (I just lightly sand my discs when they get sharp)
