  1. Ah shame, got excited by the thumbnail.
Would be an incredibly popular product if stopped the rattle!
    Something it wasn't designed for.
I'm going to stick with my ep8 rise until the pinion is used in a more affordable bike, I really believe that's where the ebike industry will head.

  2. Hei Sam. Just as interest, can you do a test and put an oval chainring and see if you notice anything and is it any different on the different modes eco and so on. Preferrably again a shimano and bosch comparison.

  3. How would this have ever worked?! It’s the hardware within the motor that rattles, there are numerous videos of people just shaking motors or dropping their bikes on its wheels at standstill and you can hear the rattle.

At best, a totally pointless video, at worst the former plus massive clickbait.

  4. That was a mistake not to test it with EP801. Some of the bikes don't have the rattle with EP 801, it goes to frame design and suspension. You should do it other wise this test is not fully completed and is a disapointment. I wanted to to her if there is a difference with EP801, for the sake of proper testing, do it next time.

  5. I have o-chain on the Bosch CX race in the carbon frame. The motor is also insulated with aluminum insulation mat, which has become very quiet.

  6. Ochain is a terrific product I run it on my Turbo Levo and my downhill bike, and will be getting it day 1 on my Moterra SL in a few weeks. Fantastic device glad it's getting more recognition!

  7. The timing, i bought an ochain for my new Norco fluid with the Bosch SX literally a week ago to try solve the rattle, still on its way. Ah well, at least the rear suspension will feel a bit better.

  8. Idea of myth busting: Ochain is in general pretty much useless, as it "solves" a non-existent/highly overrated "problem".
Watch "How Your Chain Interacts With Your Suspension – The Tuesday Tune 31" (check also his response in the comments regarding Ochain) and "What is PEDAL KICKBACK?…Should you care?". Many don't understand basic physics and the difference between static analysis (which Ochain uses to mislead customers) and dynamic analysis. If you don't lock your rear wheel (which anyway you should not do) than Ochain is a waste of money and "works" as a placebo.
