  1. I remember not tucking my pantleg into my sock when riding my bike. It was like my pants went through a shredder.

  2. Lol, I thought this weekend would be crazy but this was way too much craziness than what id thought. In what universe do we have a fire on the racetrack, only for 20 minutes later for it to be torrential rain!

  3. April is the usual time slot for Shanghai GP. It is always raining and gloomy during springtime in Shanghai, which I really don’t enjoy. But there are actually plenty of sunny days here in Shanghai, especially in autumn. The clear sky and crisp air is gorgeous during that time.

  4. well I hope Josh gets some sleep today and after the grand prix. 38hrs without sleep is wild but it's apart of the job. I'm praying we get a P1 and P2 from lando and oscar and zhou gets pole tomorrow

  5. There was a moment on TV during the beginning of one of the qualifying rounds where the camera showed the crowd. I'd say just about every single person had their phone up recording.

  6. Hey Kym, I really enjoyed this video. More Shanghai please. Just on social media access in China, I discovered that eSims or foreign sims all work well.

  7. The Shanghai Citcuit is one of my favorite just in terms of its layout and low speed corners…but the facilities, the tarmac, and the lawn(lmao) probably need an upgrade

  8. 6:44 A world travelled journalist commenting on VPNs is rather funny. You access public networks in the west without a VPN???
    That’s silly.
Totally unnecessary to single out China.
And for those feeding off any opportunity to hate on China, asks yourselves:
Why is it that Microsoft, Oracle, Yahoo, Bling and others operate in China?
Because they CHOOSE to comply with Chinese laws which requires them to host data in the country and not sell user data.
    Those other companies?
    They chose not to comply.
The sites do not operate in China.
However, go to this address and guess what you’ll find?
    China, Shang Hai Shi, Pudong,
    Lujiazui, 世紀大道100号 邸政編
    hS: 200135
    Google Shanghai office.

They aren’t forbidden to operate. They choose not to.

8:25 It’s sooooo authoritarian here that kids ask you for you instagram!

You’re feeding the narrative. And it’s sad.

  9. Never forget guys – they unleashed a plague of historical proportions on the World. Where is the reimbursement or accountability?

  10. When Fernando and Hamilton get the front row, I freaked out and then Max behind them is even crazier

  11. Qualifying P1 by 1.3 seconds, while losing .2 of a second on the main straight, because he took his last corner on his “out lap” into the gravel isn’t lucky. The stewards were just too dumb to read their own track regulations

  12. Love ur video but I don’t think ‘painting the track ‘is a better expression than ‘repaved the track’….

  13. China are always painting things to make them look better.. grass, the forest, hill sides animals.. now the race track.. look out probably painted over the pot holes..

  14. The possibility of painting the lawn is zero, because there are still many yellow lawns on the scene. Generally, only green nutrient solution is sprayed, which is good for lawn. The biggest possibility of the fire yesterday was catkins. The sparks from the friction of the chassis hit the catkins.

  15. Thank you for sharing Kym! Those might have been teenagers. I saw teenagers in Israel act the same way around a foreign vlogger 'excited' 😀.

  16. Pretty spicy day at the track yesterday Kym, thanks for the update, never short of good content and unexpected experiences to find in China😂
