Golf Fans Disappointed By Charlie Woods’ Rough Performance Monday
Monday was the opening day of the US Junior Amateur, but it was a day to forget for Charlie Woods. The son of one of the all-time greats struggled to start the tournament, ending his day with a 12-over 82.
Woods may have been feeling the pressure from a crowded gallery, as dozens of spectators followed him during his round.
For comparison’s sake, the Junior Amateur doesn’t typically draw crowds into the triple digits for the entire event, let alone to see one golfer.
Golf fans on social media were saddened to see Woods struggle on his first day in the event.
