  1. Daar is niks "missing" soos jy sê nie. Ons het maar nou net begin met die seisoen en daar is n paar veranderinge in hoe ons speel. 2de toets was n swak begin

  2. The Boks look vulnerable, confidence may be damaged.
But hopefully they will get back on the horse against Portugal

  3. So the Boks drew against Ireland and suddenly they are facing an existential crisis? I probably don't know enough about rugby,,,

  4. I don't think that we want to be a dominant side from now right through to the next WC. Several of those who were in 2023 will not be there in the next WC. While all of us want to win all of the time, those days are gone. It the Boks can replicate what they did at Loftus with more finesse, that would be awesome. But I am a pragmatist and the solution is probably somewhere between that and walking through fire, Early days and I don't think that you are too much of anything MW! BTW I watched the 2nd test through to the end – it was 01:30 am where i am in Adelaide (South Australia), so it was a really painful conclusion

  5. It is a bitter pill to swallow to think that Glasgow basically used the same approach against a physical Bulls team in that final, which some supporters blame for their existential crises.

England almost managed it against us in the semi-final as well.

Maybe they realized that Mike Tyson can only be beaten if you bully and literally emasculate him. If your best is not good enough, where does that leave you?

Whether the opponent bullies you completely honorably or in less honorable ways where you are the alpha is irrelevant. If they are crafty enough to get away with it, one cannot help but tip their hat to them, even if it is somewhat humiliating.

  6. A FFS. One loss. Beginning of their season. And all you Fkn Monday morning quarter backs preaching doom
And gloom. All your rugby knowledge obtained from
Playing 3rd XV at high school. S7FU you losers

  7. Too many players in the team are being picked on reputation. Kolisi, De Klerk, Mbonambi, and a few others. Loose trio is unbalanced and not effective as a unit. Koli offers nothing to this team on the field anymore. Time for a reality check. Erasmus needs to pick new blood sooner .As for Ireland. They are the craftiest team in world rugby. They got out of jail in the 2nd test and it must be said the Boks let them off the hook in the last 5 minutes. The Boks were in full control of the game in the 2nd half until the last 5m when it seems they received orders from Erasmus to kick the ball…..poor game management and it must be said stupid rugby by the Boks. Ireland not as good as everyone seems to think though.

  8. Ireland won the (mental attitude) game and the physical fight.
Our legendary players relied on reputation and luck.
I've been there, we were so good opposition had no right to bully us.
We went on the field to take out key players! so why can't they accedentily fall on a players' already broken knee.
Horse than win by a nose is not twice as fast as the horse that came second.

  9. We are always really loyal to our boys and don't like hearing anything negative about them. Anything they do is ok. If they lose..it's ok. Maybe we need to expect them to win every game. I don't know.

  10. Hi Gents. Harry looks very professional today. Question. Did Kwagga made any turnovers in either game.? Our revised gameplan going to be difficult to implement and keep winning consistently, while blooding new players. I hope that the 3 players that stand out against Portugal will be starters in the 1st Aussie. test. There is a little room for experimenting against AUS, before firing on all cylinders against Nz

  11. SA won by 7 points in the first game, TMO disallowed Ireland a fine try. Next time we'll be at home and it will not go well.

  12. SFM is going to get time at ten against Portugal. He is on the bench for that. Mannie is better than you give him credit for. He took tue boks to tue semifinals as a sub 10 cap bok. He has earned his no 2 spot. He isn't the defensive flyhalf that Pollard is and he isn't the kicker that Pollard is but he brings attacking flair that is on a different level. He can learn to kick and his defense isn't lack of guts. He can learn to block his channel.

  13. Hi Guys really enjoy Ur Rugby-Chat just want to say sumthing abt Ur discussion Last-Wk was a lot More-Pro Tony Brown & wot he's doing for Bok-Attack & now with one loss U very-much changing Ur tune saying tht Boks are likely to revert back-to wot they knw works for them!!…. I'm kind of hearing this sentiment too much now I understand tht as World No.1 & RWC-Champions We need to Prove why we are No.1 & feel the same-way; however, let's not forget the Irsh are No.2 in World there's very little separating these Teams I mean the Boks very much cld've Won tht Game & Irish basically stoled-it right @the death with a Drop-Goal 1Pt ultimately separating the Teams!!! I do, however, agree tht we shld make winning these Tests betwn RWC's a priority as World No.1 & so feel tht Rassie is going-to hve-to strike a very fine-balance betwn Winning & Experimentation making Winning the Priority here-on out!!!

Honestly, I trust Rassie & believe he know's why he brought Tony Brown on-board & We need-to give the Coaching-Staff time to develop Processes & find the balance in their Game & to figure-out how they want to incorporate Tony Brown's ideas & how Best to do so keeping in mind Boks natural strengths too (Boks hve literally played x2 Games since RWC 2023)!! I mean just Last-Wk U Guys said Tony Brown's ideas may help Boks score more Tries & this cld help in-terms of Bonus-Pts in Rugby-Championship which is invaluable in this particular Tournament….. Now along with many other SA-Pundits/Rugby-Lovers there's seemingly a Fear tht Bok-Rugby going-to lose-it's Identity because of Tony Brown's ideas on the Game I dnt believe this cld ever happen with Rassie @the helm & feel like TB's Attacking-ideas is going-to add-to rather than taking-away from SA-Rugby if we show a little more patience & allow for natural development & progression of Team!!!!

  14. Simple, your 10 is the general not the 9. Ireland pick a tall 15 to counter the boxkick. It was stupid to continue with it as it did not work at Loftus. Same with experiment with keagga at 8.

  15. I think this culture of not coming out and dominating from the get go, but slowly cooking like an ox tail pojtie is killing us.
Irish British lions saved by last kick zero time left, lucky one point. 3 x1 point last gasp praise God the whistle blew.
You cannot claim best, but nobody fears you.
Porras will lose obviously, but if its by less than 80 points then this bok team is rubbish too. I listened to moerat already praising Portugal for beating fiji world cup and praising them. What a load of nonsense, they looked pedestrian against namibia last week.

Im doing my best not to swear, but ja, springboks are not dominant, and i would be very surprised if they dont lose another 4-5 games this year

  16. The chap with no hair said Boks are not whingeing then whinged. If the ball had bounced another way FGS , Small margins boks really won, no they didn't, they were beat by a team using there tactics.

  17. It's mad how seriously South African rugby fans take a defeat at home. Rugby really strikes to their core in sport. Ireland is about 10 years away from having that level of passion for rugby.

  18. Will start to trust Rassie again when he gets rid of a few old dogs and base his backline around 9 Williams, 10 Sacha , 15 Wilemse

  19. Harry hit the nail on the head get a country like Uruguay to come live in SA and take part in the currie cup. I have been saying it about Namibië since they are our next door neighbors

  20. Where is the Chris Wyatt podcast this week?

MW jy moet dalk bietjie probeer onderhoud kry met Swys du Brein dit kan n lekker sou maak. Sal ook graag wil hoor in gesprek met Jaco Phyper

  21. Great series. As an Irish fan, not only did we get the win but we developed more depth at 15, 10, 9. Playing mostly the same 15 for all 2023 World Cup games cost us in the end. Good to see us trusting our bench/squad more. That's something you Saffas have been very innovative in to give you your dues. At the top level, test rugby really has become a game of fine margins which is great for the sport.

  22. No it’s not your biggest win. The series in New Zealand was. Most Irish people expected to win both games, but the TMO got you over the line in the first game. Don’t be bitter lads it’s a sad look

  23. Agreed about Kwagga. Would have liked Roos or Buthelezi. Also thought Kolisi did look fat!!

  24. Jesus the arrogance. The Irish were the better team ffs. Miracles my ass. The Irish have done it before and will do it again. 4-1 for recent tests. The Irish are equal to SA. Let me remind you regarding your '10 point win at least' in the first test..The Irish had two tries disallowed and it was a gift that James Lowe gave to you for one when he leapt to keep the ball in play… Ireland had a great win away from home against the world champs. Come to Ireland lets roll again boys 😉

  25. You. had zero tries in game two… zero. Penalties from a home town ref kept you in the game.. stop with the bs analysis..bounce of a ball my ass.

  26. Ireland was at a huge disadvantage in the 1st test due to it being played at altitude and also they were not acclimated to the hotter weather. Once they got to sea level and had more warm weather conditioning under their belt, then their true qualities shone through. The first test was only a warm-up. I believe a 3rd test would have been won by ireland by a much larger margin.
The same happened when they played in New Zealand. They won the last two tests easily once they had acclimatised and shook off the jet lag.

  27. I don't agree with Bernard Jackman. The New Zealand tour win was the best. New Zealand are always incredibly hard to beat in New Zealand, had won the previous Rugby Championship. Jackman is an excellent analysist and I like him a lot but he is a bit too fawning to South African Rugby.

  28. We've won 3 of 4 games since the WC. We're looking a better team that is evolving. That is never a perfect process. We've won four WCs, two Back2Back, and we're ranked No. 1 in the world..of course we're the best in the world. We played a rotating squad system btwn 2018 and the 2019 & 2023 WCs and that's how we've achieved the above record. Our game is evolving. In the modern game all teams are much more competitive and closely matched as well. Forget comparing it to the past, we're in a different era. You guys are projecting ur own prejudices, relative ignorance, and fears (with all due respect for your valid, insightful, and appreciated rugby views, opinions, and intelligence) onto the Boks, and ur judgements are seemingly too premature and even unwarranted. We beat Ireland 51-45 across the two tests and we won the 2nd half of the 2nd test 18-9, losing by one point to a last second drop kick on the hooter. Of course we wanted to win but what goes around comes around, i.e. the 1 point margins of which we had three in the WC to win the title. Ireland are a great team too who literally laid their life on the line in the 2nd test to win the first half, with a 10 point lead going into the shed. We did brilliantly to get to 24-19 in the 2nd half. Could we have done better to manage and close the game out, yes, absolutely, especially in those last few minutes. That is our major take away and learning together with our goal line drop kicks, and the break down, of course. They were always going to come with everything they've got in the the 2nd test. Unfortunately there wasn't a 3rd test, that would have been a real basis upon which to critique our performances. Two tests have created a scenario of unfinished business, as it were. A work in progress for sure, a new cycle too. We can review things post the Championship, with a bit more substance, and patience, and go from there😊

  29. 1:27 . I’m going to stop you there. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that Ireland should have won that 1st test with a 14 point swing. While the Springboks were the more aggressive side and off to a roaring start much like Ireland in the second test, the referee made that game winnable for SA. I’m going to send you the link to show you where Doris’s try was disallowed. Try was in fact grounded, and where Kolbe’s try should have been disallowed because Lowe was in touch. 14 points right there. Secondly, it’s convenient for you to talk about the kicks that Pollard missed as though they should be counted. You can’t count points you missed. You miss them and thats that. However, Ireland also missed seven points at goal. So if you want to count the Springboks’s, you must also count Ireland’s. The South African who made these videos also has one for the second test and despite Ireland being the more dominant team in that test, that’s probably the game they should have lost due to either two yellows or a one red card. So I would argue that you can’t let the win in the first test whitewash what may well have been two losses at home for the Springboks!

  30. I don't agree with the bearded fellow who said the first test was a pummelling. Sure South Africa missed kicks but so too did Ireland, 7 points off the boot to be exact which was the gap in the end. Ireland also had two tries ruled out on two very arguable margins. At least one of those tries probably would have been reversed in another venue or with different officials. Ireland played quite poorly for a large section of the first half and probably feel that they let south Africa have a at least two easy scores. This poor defense in the first test can be proven by the fact that South Africa didn't even come close to scoring a try in the second test. I do think that South Africa deserved to win the first test but I think it's not fair to say it was a pummelling.
