Host Ricky Sacks is joined by returning regular guests Richard Cracknell, Ricky Norwood and Jason McGovern as Tottenham kicked off their pre-season schedule with a thumping 5-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle. Ange Postecoglou’s side will travel to Japan and South Korea later this month, with a double-header against Bayern Munich to come, but first it was a trip to Scotland for their opening match of the summer.
A strong starting lineup gave Tottenham a 1-0 lead at the break, Brennan Johnson with the goal, before 11 changes were made at the break. Emerson Royal’s error inside a minute of the restart gave Lawrence Shankland the chance to equalise, but Spurs then ran riot to ensure it was a successful start to pre-season. Mikey Moore, the 16-year-old, offered a further glimpse of his potential with sharp work in the box, before Djed Spence and Ashley Phillips got themselves on the scoresheet too.

Mikey Moore just wow. I’ve been reserved because of his age, but seeing him with my own eyes I was blown away. No fear at 16, he can become some player.
I hope Spence proves Ange wrong. He’s got great potential no doubt. Obviously the attitude and discipline issues are there, but it’s not irreversible. He can solve a huge issue in our squad.
Grey is such a top talent. Play him anywhere and he will do a job. Seriously think he can push Bissouma out the starting lineup this season.
Totally agree that Moore looks absolute class. However he's still only 16 yrs old. I do think we need to give his body time to be ready for the rigours and frequency of top tier football. We don't want to break him, like Sess and Pedri
Bergvall, Moore and Gray should be given minutes in the cup games, so they can develop their game. That will help them to get up to speed with the pace at which we play.
Ricky mentioning our lack of experience as an issue but i think it was more a matter of the big names not being back yet more than anything
We’ve all been waiting to see the youngsters. Now, everyone is talking about them. The excitement is so heartening because these are homegrown boys.
Djed will benefit from being a squad with a lot of young talent that have the humility to learn Effort & attitude is 90% / 10% talent …. no easy ride based just on talent especially under the tutelage of Big Ange
Excellent panel and another quality stream served up LWOS, keep the quality content rolling COYS 💫
Great bunch!
Watched the U21's quite a bit last season not surprised by their performances last night? We seem very fixated by age but we have just seen a Spanish 17 year old win at the Euros!
If we can’t get excited about our best ever crop of academy players. Especially as our greatest ever play came from the academy. Plus spurs don’t make big signings and we have very average senior players. Then what’s the point in watching football. Football is about what it makes you feel not just the result. If you only care about the result. Don’t watch the game, go shopping with the missus and check the scores after 90 mins.
Love Jason "move on" 😂🤣👍
F*ck it I’m going early
Moore, Gray, Lankshear, Bergvall, Hall, Donley, Devine will be our class of 92
Not even mentioning Udogie, Porro, VDV, Sarr who are all still young
Can we see these kids perform against the top PL teams before referring to them as "starlets" or "generational". Our own fans pile more pressure on them. There's other teams in the PL that have 18 yr olds performing at a top level each week. Pump the brakes a bit on our players.
Why can’t Moore be loaned out? He’s about to sign his contract on 17th birthday. From what I understand from that point onwards we can loan him out . I don’t think we will but no reason why we can’t
So nice to see djed Spence actually be given a chance in a spurs shirt. The end of season pod all said sell him, sell him for what not even been given a chance in a spurs shirt we don’t need to spend any money on a back up right back Spence can easily fill royals departure. Give him a chance
