Talk me out of this budget projector pt.2

$150 amazon special 1100ANSI with 3 yr warranty or is the minimum 1.5 throw distance a deal breaker?

Looks like a great price, especially with that extra $60 coupon

Did see this in their description “The best projection distance is 3m. In addition, this led projector is not a short throw projector.” So would have to move it to vary screen size?

Does look like it would do 4:3 ratio too…

I have a similar projector that I got for a similar price. Lux is made up and it is not Lumens. If you want a cheap movie night outside in pitch black, it will work. If you plan on doing anything with this on a sim it will need to be so far back (these are not short throw) that the picture will be fuzzy and if there is any light whatsoever, won’t see a thing. You will almost immediately want to replace this so it is basically throwing money away. Put in an extra 300 and get a refurb benq and be better off.

I have this exact projector. It’s great but! I would find one with auto focus. Trust me, while you can dial this bad boy in, it doesn’t last more than a night. As said above, it’s good for a dark movie night. Any sort of light, I can’t see the picture well at all. spend a little more, you will be happier.
