the amount of luck I’ve had to build this bag is just incredible because even though this is a very good affordable bag sourcing some of these clubs in 2024 can be a challenge but not impossible and for a lot of you could be the answer that you’re looking for however even though this bag is great nothing is as great as the story behind them it’s been 8 years since the last open was held Royal TR and hands down that tournament will go down as one of the most exciting finishes to a major in history and that’s down to Phil mikkelson shooting 65 in the final round and Henrik Stenson shooting a 63 but wait till I show you the clubs that he did it with because a 63 is a 63 and even back then he had some relics in the bag which goes to show the saying if it ain’t broke don’t fix it is well definitely true so we’re going to start with this unbelievably rare Potter which no one would actually know is rare but as I said at the start of this video the stars are lined for this bag to be built so thank you to replay golf for helping me build this bag and for the whole week of the open they’re offering 10% off well everything if you use the code SAS golf 10 at checkout just like any Tor issue putter is probably worth more than well the entire bag that I have here now unlike Scotty Cameron tour issue Putters that has toour use only stamped all over it and therefore demanding that Hefty price tag the old school Odyssey putters weren’t so easy to distinguish and by no means am I saying that this is going to perform better than another Odyssey standard issue putter which by the way on the right hand side is a great purchase for you guys that are looking for affordable forgiving putter head but how do you tell the difference because if it is a tour issue putter then well it comes with a bigger price tag and let’s be honest if you found one of these at a regular price because someone doesn’t know that this is a tour issue putter well it’d be a great addition to your collection even if it’s just a talking point in your man cave now Henrik Stenson didn’t have the #7m he had the 7h but this is a very successful headstyle Ian polter winning many Ridder Cup tournaments with it Luke Donald reaching world number one ranking with this style putter in the bag and obviously the 63 around Royal trun when Henrik used it to great effect so here’s your telltale signs it’s glaring you in the face and obviously the colorway which to be honest until researching this video I had no idea that this color only came in the tour issue of this generation utane finish is what we call this where it’s brown and gray mat on top and again looks good the other Telltale sign is this little serial number band you see it the the top here that starts with a J and again that could obviously be peeled off by someone that doesn’t know what that actually means or stands for and as far as I can tell that’s about it but I’m a collector I like a bargain and I thought I’d share that bit of knowledge with you guys just in case you do see one of these listed as a standard Odyssey Putter for under £100 I highly recommend you snap it up so before I go into the ancient relic of a fairway Bo that he used to great effect and obviously the oneoff Callaway I which go for a stupid price nowadays considering how much they cost when they came out let’s talk a bit about wedges and I’m going to keep this brief because good performing good condition wedges at a reasonable price kind of speak for themselves he had two md3 wedges at the time which let’s be honest were current but the main reason I want to highlight these wedges is that they go for a great price look at the prices of these and just like Ping irons hold incredibly well in terms of condition it’s difficult to find wedges also hold their own considering they’re playing out of bunkers ditches trees and I can’t wait to see how much that just spun but for that gol for that’s looking for a new addition in the wedge section getting two of these for under £100 well let’s be honest looking at the spin rate I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad bargain there’s a few tour Pros out there even today that are the epitome of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and Fairway Woods are so personal I made a video not too long ago talking about how many Pros that even upgrade every year never change that Fairway would that gets them off the te that Fairway finder or that wood that can get them on the green on a par five and two can’t believe this thing cost less than 40 quid that’s actually hilarious now of course I’ve pull hooked that hence why it’s gone so far but to sum up what I was saying distance doesn’t really matter when it comes to a fairway wood confidence does and when you find a fairway wood or even a hybrid that you love forget the age if it does the job just please don’t get rid of it hence why I have to say a massive thank you to replay golfer again having this in their store the octane Diablo 15° Fairway Wood oh she is gone now this is smaller than normal not as forgiving and to be perfectly honest as I said at the start I probably won’t recommend this to a lot of you even if it is a more affordable option mainly because if you don’t hit out in the middle it’s not going to be as forgiving as more modernday Woods that are similar price but also trying to find one is near one impossible and apart from these going incredibly long cuz I’m not necessarily hitting down on it that’s a bit better Jesus even that’s low spinning all right I take it back this is the most lowest spinning Fairway Wood I’ve tried in an incredibly long time down on it neutral okay tiny bit forward leaning but that’s just stupid okay it’s big stick time and unlike the Fairway word I’m going to recommend this to all of you that are just starting the game and as no surprise I’ve recommended a lot in previous videos already hence why we’re not going to spend a long time on it like we are the irons because the irons are incredibly rare and very unique on a Callaway standpoint but as I’ve said we’ve covered this driver a lot why because it’s super forgiving why because there’s loads of shaft head combinations out there why because it’s incredibly affordable for what it is now I love it when T Pros use the forgiving heads the 460cc heads because it does highlight that you don’t necessarily need a low spin driver head that’s not as forgiving to well get the ball out there tiny bit high off the face but she’s definitely going to go down there not as far as a fairway would but technique trumps technology any day of the week and because I’ve hit up through the ball and kept my launch angle relatively low the spin is going to be less than most now obviously that can still be dropped by shaft and head combination to shift it down 4 500 but for a lot of you you’re looking to shave off 25,000 worth of Back Spin of your driver because it’s spinning at 4 and a half 5,000 no head and sha combinations going to help that technique definitely will you have no idea how long I’ve waited to test these irons because back in 2013 when these were released the price tag on them was so high which was at the time almost 300 more than a set of apexes and to be honest these irons attributes are very unique to certain golfers out there however for what they are when it comes to Rarity manufacturing the story why do these even exist that’s a bit better for the price tag I’m about to show you is kind of a no-brainer for a few of you out there designed by Roger Cleveland and Callaway Japan Endo Forge process which essentially Endo is one of the most well-known if not the best when it comes to a certain forging process and particular irons on the right hand side here I’ll show you some other brands and manufacturers requiring the help and assistance from endo elves obviously build certain head Styles but to be honest when it comes to forge field I do get a bit exasperated because to be honest over the many years that I’ve been hitting forged irons I can tell you the difference when it comes to feel from one high quality forged iron process to well let’s say another however my leaks out to the right could probably tell you the next step that I’m about to talk about which is quite unique you see if you don’t want off off ET in this game well the less offset clubs are basically well blades but at the same time not all of us want to play with blades very rarely do we play blades the other aspect which I want to talk about now which I imagine Roger Cleveland had a bit to do with was the amount of spin that these can provide typically the bigger the head style the higher the launch and then the less Spin and don’t get me wrong off a dry Fairway any player would be able to get virtually every head to spin enough that it stops on the green however what about the rough especially when it comes to Fliers and I’ll show you this quote here from Henrik himself saying that other irons he tested he was getting too many flyers and then tried a more previous version of the Legacy ir and essentially felt that he had that much needed control while still having the forgiveness and then also not having the offset now one of the detriments of a soft forg iron is well is going to get a bit more battered and bruised than your cast iron heads but look at how many grooves are on that face point is if you want a relatively slim Top Line not offset tons of spin with a bit of forgiveness with the occasional snap hook or pull in your game well these could be your only answer but there’s good and well bad news the bad news is if you live in America or Japan that Rarity of these clubs because they were only released in certain parts of the world are still clinging on to that rare it price tag and I’ve seen these listed for $11,000 $1,200 and as far as I can tell they’re exactly the same as the ones I have in my hand the good news is if you live in the UK and to be honest anywhere in the world if you just look at the sold listings these go for around £300 £400 however this very affordable golf bag in 2024 was able to shoot a 63 around Royal TR allbe it in Henrik stenson’s hands however guys if you got any questions on your go golf bag or golf game sasg golf academy.com catch you guys later

Never been this early.
Great historical gear run-through! Too bad they weren't made in Lh. BTW, 384 US eBay.
Love the XR16, was the first drive I got when I got more into golf, got fitted for it and it was only £250 when it came out I think I paid for it from American golf
I'm a sucker for second hand clubs love your content
Unreal knowledge and content mate 🔥🤌
Great video once again 👏
Stenson uses a 3 wood more than a driver. Accuracy rules🙏
