okay so I must admit I actually reviewed this original La poot I say original this is actually 2.1 version and I was very impressed as were many many people however again like I was and many other people they couldn’t get over the look of this putter I mean is so unusual looking it’s absolutely huge the the shaft isn’t a weird angle compared to the grip I mean there’s just lots and lots going on now lab stands for lie angle balanc and quite simply it is a perfectly balanced putter the face has no bias whether it’s face balance whether it’s tow hang it is absolutely perfectly balanced now again that model did have good success however not many people used it lab have worked really really really really hard really hard to now create this df3 I think I found my new putle ladies and gentlemen I think I found it directed Force 3.0 first off improvement with the head cover this is a beautiful head cover I love the kind of stitching going on and I was I mean furry inside as well again £459 you’d expect you’d expect as you open the head cover there to be a little yay go Rick obviously there’s not now underneath this is a much more what’s the right word um tasteful model it’s still a little bit crazy a little bit out there but compared to sorry get Lab One lab 2.1 back up compared to this version it is a much much much smaller version I mean it’s it’s I can’t say half the size but it’s definitely not as ugly as as the original model now I was invited to go on the website for lab and pretty much Design This myself so I chose to have this white line going across the face with the three white dots I also had to send the video off to lab with me putting up against the right angle like a door frame so they could work out the perfect lle for me and the length of putter which is pretty cool you know a remote online fitting is pretty cool now I I I genuinely can’t wait to hit a put here on the Zen putting stage using put view but there’s a lot to there’s a lot to talk about with this putter first off it’s got eight screws to allow wide range of length and lie options you’ve got all these different screws in the bottom of the head so if you have different lengths different lies you can balance the head still perfectly again also this putter this is what lab is saying is fully automatic so really I should just stand there and it just put itself I think what they mean by that the actual the way this putter works as you take it back and through it effectively self corrects so the face self corrects the path corrects all you need to do is line it up and hit it somewhere near the middle and I think even that they’re saying it’s going to be very forgiving off-centered hits as well lots and lots to shout about um because effectively they’re saying Miss hits don’t even matter I’m going to start off with just a few dead straight 12T puts um looks wise it’s it is without question a lot more tasteful what’s interesting here as I’ve set it up against the floor here I’ve got this black and white grip and that’s perfectly straight but then the shaft effectively goes backwards almost back into the center of the head it’s very very very easy to line up certainly because I’ve designed it I think you can get loads of different designs from arrows and Chevrons Etc or you can have it completely plain for my eye I really like lining that up right effectively all I’ve got to do is just hit it right [Music] right all got to do is just hit it that on first hit with that putter the soft the feel off the face was different to what I expected it to be it felt soft it felt nice it rolled beautifully it went in the hole let’s continue that so just Aim It Up dead straight and just put that’s two out of two let’s go again from 12T this isn’t an easy put from here the tour average from 6 ft is 50% so you know what I mean like this is these are easy [Music] Parts oh that was a nasty lip out that nearly nearly nearly dropped in the side door let’s go one more let get three out of [Music] four that again was a it was a cheeky lip out on any other day those other two would have definitely gone into Okay so we’ve slanted the Zen putting stage and now I’ve actually got a big right to left put put views telling me to aim at the hole on the right but really we’re actually going for the hole in the middle so let’s see what the lab DF 3.0 can do on a put like this I’ve been impressed on the on the straight ones so I’m just going to aim it down this Top Line and we’re just under 14 [Music] ft I’ve got to say I’ve hit five puts with this putter every single one of them has felt brilliant everyone and I’m not I I’m sometimes someone who might question my path when I’m going going back or sometimes go back and go Ah that’s not right I’ve not done that right every time there that actually feels really good okay so let’s try that one again that was such a good [Music] P okay that’s an interesting one that was the first time I actually didn’t hit a good P I actually hit that quite a lot off the toe that time it stayed out way off to the right it still did good good for distance but that was the first real Mist strike which kind of tells me a little bit this is definitely not a fully automatic putter that’s for [Music] sure that nice put thanks thanks put for you when it’s middled it it it just feels really good you know as soon as I hit that I’m like well that that’s in the hole there’s no reason why that doesn’t go in the hole which I don’t think you get that from many other putters [Music] [Applause] oh so in I’ve hit four puts there two have been nasty nasty nasty lip outs one went in one was a little bit High just cuz I hit the toe the two nasty nasty lip outs though they were on a 4° slope from 14 ft I take that every day okay we’re going to try something new with putter videos moving forward the ladder drill Challenge from 3 ft all the way back to pretty much probably 15 ft 13 puts so I’m guessing that’s going back a foot each time near enough um what what I just wanted to talk about first was on the size difference is so vast again as much as the original or I say original this is the DF this is the 2.1 so I’m not ever sure what the original original was but to take it from that and to be able to like I say kind of shrink it down into this which is so honestly so much more usable I could use this putter I wouldn’t have been able to use that one and I it’s a big statement that the other thing I love by the way watch this you know someone says that’s good Rick it’s a gimme I’ll say that gimme and I’ll move on to the next H thank you very much got a little ball picker uper that’s pretty sweet is it right anyway enough of that let’s go 3 feet all the way I I feel very confident I feel like I should be to get all the way back to the the final spot start with three foot [Music] easy okay 7 ft just [Music] that’s [Music] better Easy I think I found my new putter ladies and gentlemen I think I found it oh it’s just so good so good [Music] there was no wasted energy on that [Music] PO wow I did think it was going to get to this last spot I did I had a lot of confidence in this putter if fact so much confidence I think next time I play on video which we’re a bit ahead of schedule the moment so you might not see those I think I’m going to put this in the bag I do very very very very impressed today listen they’re expensive they are but sometimes let’s say Putters can be expensive because of beauty such as a Scotty Cameron I mean they’re just beautiful pieces of art almost and you might pay for the name the fact it’s limited edition Etc this I genuinely feel like you’re paying for technology for research for something that that’s going to improve your performance not that Scotty Camerons don’t but this feels like its main job it’s not let’s be honest it’s not a for looks as it it’s not going to win the best looking putter competition however for performance I am so so impressed last part the 15t one this is we’ve no done this test once so far I don’t think I would have held many times 15 um this many puts in a row the 15f footer can it finish this video off in
