England but it’s never the same feeling I get as when I watch Arsenal yeah I’m one of the fans if you said to me at the start of the season and England win the Euro as Arsenal in the Champions League I’m always go in Arsenal but yeah I enjoyed the game last night woke up feeling good indori is rushing like it’s nice to have that feeling of getting to a final and really getting behind the country um and I feel Watkins moment last night kind of brought everyone together um yeah another final feeling good about football I’ve been a little bit detached from Arsenal over the last few weeks M um which has been nice it’s been a nice break sure I’ve been watching your show a little bit keeping up to date I mean the only thing is the calori is the the big one um but yeah looking forward to getting back into some Arsenal chat good stuff there is a preview for Arsenal versus Spain coming out me Robbie Turkish discussed debated all everything around that game check that out coming out in a few days time um Robbie how’s transfer daily been the last week for you yeah better by the way I’m ripping England as well man I mean I was really buzzing um buzzing after that as well that was fantastic and to see our boys in the final man it’s great you I mean rice and rice and sacka I can’t wait um transfers wise I mean is picking up it’s been a bit of calori daily you know I mean trying to wait to see when he’s actually going to sign because it does look like everything’s been um agreed so um but then you showed me a picture today or video today of him swimming with shars over in mes you know I mean what’s going on you know what I mean they get on the call man then swim maybe that’s why they haven’t signed yet they’re like you know make sure he’s not eaten first or anything that happened to him and then we get that signature done but no it started to pick up a bit and because it has been very quiet it’s been a very unusual transfer window in the you know across all teams there’s not been a lot of early business mhm um because I think because of the Euros yeah um so but and cop America but now I do think there’s starting to be a bit of momentum yeah teams looking to try and get players in before pre-seasons and stuff like that so I think we’re going to have a busy next few weeks yeah I think so too by the way tan is saying the app said Arsenal versus Spain so guy is this the third choice goalkeeper yes wolves is First Choice third choice he’s wolves a second choice and we’re signing to be our third choice behind who well Ry Ram if ramille goes we’d get another number two car H what about car H just sign the contract now to go out and Loan most likely what the hell is going on in this in this department man listen Keepers a position I’m not I’m not worried in man we we had ramdo we’ve got Ryan now whether it’s Hy whether it’s Bentley I don’t care who third Trace Keepers I don’t expect to see them on the pitch so you’re not going to do a live experience he’s all right played quite well against us yeah you know I mean like whereas you know H’s a kid and it he needs to go out and learn learn more you know I I see it does make sense you know I mean look at you’ve got um what’s the guy’s third choice at City again he’s won all Scott Carson Scott Carson look how many midds he’s won in third choice right but he’s an experienced guy so if an injury or something like that you need someone who’s going to have a lot of experience who could come in and actually have to play a certain you know a few games we did the same with Matt Ryan when we brought him in came one year six months six months played a couple of games was all right how did you know he’s not backup Cho so uh alstein said he’s coming as third CH I have I actually have to agree Robbie I think it makes complete sense because the 50 Grand thing’s funny but ultimately WS won around a million and I think that’s probably quite fair for player who’s just fing a gap in the squad Hine I don’t think would have signed the New Deal unlik R Walters just signed for Luton K du just went to Brighton I think H’s another one who wouldn’t have signed unless there was some promise of a loan and a path forward um he’s a homegrown player Bley which helps there he’s worked with inaki Kanya because kany will only sign C Keepers he’s worked with um that might not necessarily be true but if you know a lot of these players have done um I just think it’s a it’s a sensible third choice and and ramso situation I don’t think is anywhere close to being resolved you know you’ve got a goalkeeper who’s 30s experienced if there’s an injury crisis he’s played some Premier League football he’s pretty good in the championship um and yes it’s just a apparently he’s a really like 50 Grand Hest character and all that so far my bad because on my show this morning I was laughing at 500 Grand £50,000 I’ve never heard I’ve never heard like for that there’s the there’s the tweet from Sky Sports they’re not the only on saying it Jesus but again I think that is what they paid for him a year ago so I think with a year left on his contract I think Arsenal gone to be shrew pay what he’s worth it doesn’t make sense that Arsenal could possibly sign a first team player for 50 Grand like a ridiculous number but that’s but he won’t be he won’t he’ll be he’s he would he’ be in the first team squad yes but yeah for 50 Grand yeah basically what’s he going to be on weat in a fiver I mean what it is is what what does make me laugh part from 50 Grand offer is that we can’t go summer without signing a goalkeeper like artetta loves signing goalkeepers and and I think it’s a little bit of case of we’ve never really just settled in that position um but we’ve announced that under 18’s goalkeeper in the academy he’s W David ryer got announced if ramale leaves there’s another and then Bentley so we could announce four goalkeepers in one summer and we’re actually linked to he said we needed four signings there you go we actually linked to Andre lunin as well who’s um who was the goalkeeper that stood in for quto most of the season for Real Madrid he done brilliantly didn’t get to keep in the final course CTO came back but he’s been brilliant all the way through Ukrainian keeper we linked with a move for him as well for around about 15 to 20 million so that could be another goalkeeper that we could be signing because I think possibly if Ramel goes they will move for him so a lot of Keepers well that’s the thing but what happens with ramale I just have a feeling that the Euros is gone now he kept his place in the England squad although of course isn’t number one um I don’t think Chelsea in the market for a goalkeeper I don’t think Newcastle will be in the market for him I don’t think clubs outside the Premier League will pay what we want for Aaron ramsdale so I just I think Ram stays another season what do you I just I think it gets resolved pretty quickly after the Euros did yeah I I think he deserves to play first team football somewhere I agree with all that but who pays the money I think someone will pay it if it’s a top 10 Club hopefully they’re talking about they want 40 to 50 million for him I don’t think they get that I think they get maybe 30 35 but setting setting that setting that Target So High shows me that they’re not in a hurry to sell him I just think it’s a bit unfair to keep him and I know obviously it’s top level football it’s not about Fair he’s own his money blah blah blah but he was first choice made the team of the season Rya comes in all right second choice that’s the reason he’s not in the he’s not playing for England because I do think if he was if he played for Arsenal this whole season and again was in team of the season I think he would be starting in the Euros potentially for England right now so to do that again to him for another year Well you say do that against him but you know he’s it’s a problem play for Arsenal you I mean it’s competition it is yeah I mean I know we keep saying that like to do that to him he deserves to play no he don’t deserve to play because rare’s coming and he’s actually been very very good and won the Golden Glove so he’s either got to earn back his position I know it’s really difficult when you’re a goalkeeper but I don’t think AR under any obligation to say all right you know this guy deserves to play so let’s let’s just sell him for next to nothing get the money that you wouldn’t do that in any other position get the money that you think should be paid for him and if not then stays on as number two but the only thing as harsh as it is he’s not a good number two though huh he’s not a good number two you don’t think because you think because when he needs to play week and week out yeah man last year he was terrible when he came in awful the thing about him the longer you keep him and he’s playing as a number two and he’s making mistakes it’s he’s going to go down and down and then what he’s going to run out his contract we’re going to get it’s a problem arteta you know created for himself like we’re going to have to bite the bullet on it we’re not going to get 40 50 more and if we keep him his value is more likely to go down than it is up but that’s that’s where I think he goes because it’s literally just going to keep the creasing until he leaves for free or get 5 mil or 10 mil someone and it’s really harsh to say it maybe maybe every player we look to sell someone needs to be the Benchmark for Arsenal the the redirecting of the market I think people see Arsenal as a bit of a what the hell do I know right I’m not involved in these negotiations but we have sold players for less than I believe they’re worth in the last few years we’ve canceled contracts we’ve let players go on a free I think I think it comes to a point where you need to use someone as the example so yes ramsdale we want 40 million and maybe next summer we only get 15 but at least the the clubs that came in from this summer didn’t get him we made a point when if you’re not going to pay up his value okay might be different a year but you have to wait a year and I think and we supposedly do this with Eddie and Angley M the n and people like bellerin and in the end look what we got but I think with all due respect Arsenal in a much worse place and they were much worse players ramsdale ramsdale stock is up there not anymore it’s not do you not think so I think it I do I think his his stocks up there he just that you know every Club at the moment’s got a keeper so but I do think his stock is up there and I do think Arsenal are right if you to pay like decent money for him then stay as number two yeah we got a lot of games coming up next season as well Champions League longer format he could get the FA Cup games and stuff like that you know I mean like you’re right more Champions League games that might play A Part Champions League though no but when when it was six games and it was the group stage and you knew the situation maybe with eight games you’re stretching through the whole season I don’t know maybe more you mean as if there’s more dead rubber games if You’ qualified with two three games to go kind of thing yeah but then thinking about it I’m not really sure it’s going to go that way because everyone’s in the same league format so it probably won’t go that way I I don’t think he gets Champions League minutes I don’t think he gets Premier League minutes no ry’s not tied to brenford anymore so can play against brenford FA Cup carabell yeah but how do we stay in those do we go out early again I don’t know i’ like Turkish I think his Stock’s going down I think now if you could get 30 35 I’d let him go oh yeah if you can get 30 35 but you know teams have been coming and talking about 25 and I wouldn’t sell him for that no I hear it but yeah anyway Dan Bentley let’s see what happens there because at the moment is Dan belly and cury that seemed the closest to actually even coming in David ory was the one who gave us the news on arsenal taking approach and I always say this like you can notice patterns I keep saying you notice patterns when you follow transfers every summer David W the kind of journalist that when he talks about something there’s something in it it’s likely going to pick up speed within a few days of him saying we may contact over Bentley he says that we’ve made this bit it’s not the most exciting of transfers feels that just a necessary one to get done but it is something that’s happening caly though much more covered by FR romano and Italian press of course English media have talked about it as well um this is a case of apparently the you know the updates today from De Marti were that Arsenal have offered 40 million plus add-ons which is a 50 million 50 million euro package apparently uh but bolog want more near 50 million plus the add-ons to that uh they might be iring it out apparently Cal Fury is on holiday at the moment um what do you think Robbie about the pace of this deal because a week ago when we did the show it felt Relentless like there was a lot going on and every day almost every four or five hours we had big updates it slowed down massively not to four anyone saying anything to worry about no one’s saying the deal’s off or anything like that but Arsenal don’t ever do these things quickly is the one thing I’d say no we never do it quickly I do feel in this case as well like uh bologna trying to get as much money as they possibly can because they got to give half of it to BOS yeah that’s the problem which is the club that he was at before and they got like nearly a 50% sell on Clause so they need as much money as they can possibly get even if it comes down we were laughing about 50,000 but if it’s coming down to the matter of couple mil that makes a difference in his deals for them so I think that’s what’s sort of maybe holding it up a bit but I do expect for this to get done there is nobody else really in for him no you know about uve nothing’s really happened with that you they I remember I said to you on a couple of shows before they ain’t selling to UV because they’re already really upset with UV for taking their manager yeah so they were never going to deal with UV he doesn’t want to go to Chelsea they got no Champions League football so so you know and he’d already decided on Arsenal and not not say Liverpool so I I you know I I can’t see unless there was to be a problem with Medicals or anything like this I I see this one going through yeah let’s keep an eye on the cury one not much more to update on that other than yeah I mean actually yeah we haven’t had your thoughts on no yeah I was going to say the only thing that worries me about that deal is his injury record um but maybe we’re doing a little Double Bluff cuz the players we brought in Thomas parte we brought in immac injury record at Athletico obviously we know what happened to him Arsenal Tommy ASU that good injury record we know what happened to him Arsenal so maybe we’re going for a player that has a bad injury record so he can reverse it and he’ll do all right clever what a trans strategy me wrong this yeah but there’s a little inside I don’t know what to call it but artetta and um M play together at Barcelona and apparently they have a really good relationship yeah so obviously he’s gone to Juventus now I assume they speak so obviously said to him he’s he’s a top player you know ATA cares about the person as well as the player um so yeah he must be a top professional obviously a respectable guy personally I’d never seen much of him before the Euros um but it impressed me in the Euros especially in the last game last group game in might have been or can’t remember but journalists have talked about the relationship between arteta and M and that um either they said or they suggested that they probably were conversations about the player um long before I mean we did an in focus and in that go watch it it’s out on the channel now um the way motter played with his center backs it was a 42 31 but their center backs like often had Midfield roles they were asked to do the stones thing at times they were asked to you know get into a particular shape when defending transitions it’s all stuff that when watching the breakdown on it I think meta football did a good one on it um I was watching going yeah I mean artetta would adopt these principles and Cal would fit in well so I’m all for it and I think you’re right about the the personality so let’s see on the injury front though I will say I he had that really bad injury that I think affected him for a few years after when he came back but he’s got a pretty clean record for the last two full seasons yeah it’s just knees when I hear knees yeah I’m a bit like I’ve Tor my ACL myself and I’ve got back to play and I know what it’s like to have a KNE thing it’s just it happened with bellerin I think he’s the prime example as an Arsenal fan you can look at I think he was a ma he had a massive fall off after the the ACL for sure so yeah when I hear KN you see it with Jesus now like you’re always worried about something but then watching him play for Italy doesn’t look like he’s got anything to worry about you talked about this cuz you had a miniscus problem as well yeah need yeah I mean you never recover 100% from knee injuries and Ops never and it’s a mental thing with knee injuries for sure what was it with C AC no so I uh I was talking to a guy called Alex forer he’s got a really good channel for on football you were chatting to him he called in on um playback oh yes yes um he was saying cuz he researched into it like he smashed everything like ACL as competition whereas Marino probably comes in more to F the Gap in Midfield competition I’d say a mix of a mix of older guards and he can play off the wings as well older guard eight maybe Sack or maybe Martinelli he can play across the front four as well yeah whereas Mourinho comes in specialist position you know it’s going to be rice Marino odard I like the sound of a final piece of the 11 that space um he would be Martin ear competition on the left but Arsenal have decisions I mean I see it as at a surface level you improve the forward line you improve Midfield you improve the back four and then the question becomes well are you getting an out out left back or are you getting a center back/ left back and they seem to have gone that way with kind of Fury they in Midfield is are you going to get an eight an all around midfielder are you looking at more 10 are you looking at more six and then I feel like how you address those almost impacts rest of the pitch because if you sign e and he’s the Midfield Edition you want to make then you don’t for me you don’t need another wide player because he can play there so for me the focus has to be you get another Striker you get an out and out nine because you know and then if parte goes well you haven’t actually added another eight SI Central midfielder so it’s almost like well then that other midfielder comes in needs to be an out and out six then it’s it’s weird I I feel like they all have an impact on the other because arteta’s versatile players but then with versatility he got to come an acknowledgement of well what positions are they covering with marinho I’ve got to be honest I was leaning with you which is Marino because it just feels like your 11 is is done like Marino rice erard the balance is likeah perfect but I was watching I was watching um E’s sort of highlights from last season in particular he’s got exactly what this team’s missing that ball striking ability when it doesn’t feel like there’s a
