Newcastle United Football Club is an English professional football club based in Newcastle upon Tyne, that plays in the Premier League which is the top-flight of English football. The club was founded in 1892 by the merger of Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End. The team plays its home matches at St. James’ Park. All Premier League clubs have an all-seater stadium, the ground was adjusted in the mid-1990s and currently has a capacity of 52,305.

The club has been a member of the Premier League for all but three years of the competition’s history, spending 88 seasons in the top-flight as of July 2020, and have never dropped below English football’s second tier since joining the Football League in 1893. Newcastle have won 4 League titles, 6 FA Cups and a Charity Shield, as well as the 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 2006 UEFA Intertoto Cup, the ninth highest total of trophies won by an English club. The club’s most successful period was between 1904 and 1910, when they won an FA Cup and three of their League titles. Newcastle were relegated in 2009, and again in the 2016 season. The club won promotion at the first time of asking each time, returning to the Premier League, as Championship winners, in 2010 and 2017.

As of the 2019–20 season, Newcastle United have spent 88 seasons in the top-flight. They are eighth in the all-time Premier League table and have the ninth-highest total of major honours won by an English club with 11 wins. The club’s top goal scorer is Alan Shearer, who scored 206 goals in all competitions between 1996 and 2006. Andy Cole holds the record for the most goals scored in a season: 41 in the 1993–94 season in the Premier League. Shay Given is the most capped international for the club, with 134 appearances for Republic of Ireland. Alan Shearer returned for one more season in the 2005–06 season. This last season saw him break Jackie Milburn’s 49-year-old record of 200 goals for Newcastle United when he netted his 201st strike in a home Premier League fixture against Portsmouth on 4 February 2006, becoming the club’s highest-ever league and cup competition goal scorer with 201 goals altogether. On 17 April 2006, Shearer suffered a tear to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee after a collision during a 4–1 win at Sunderland in which he scored his 206th and final goal in what was his 395th appearance for the club.

St James’ Park is a football stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is the home of Premier League club Newcastle United F.C. With a seating capacity of 52,305 seats, it is the eighth largest football stadium in England. St James’ Park has been the home ground of Newcastle United since 1892 and has been used for football since 1880. Throughout its history, the desire for expansion has caused conflict with local residents and the local council. This has led to proposals to move at least twice in the late 1960s, and a controversial 1995 proposed move to nearby Leazes Park. Reluctance to move has led to the distinctive lop-sided appearance of the present-day stadium’s asymmetrical stands. Besides club football, St James’ Park has also been used for international football, at the 2012 Olympics, for the rugby league Magic Weekend, rugby union World Cup, Premiership and England Test matches, charity football events, rock concerts, and as a set for film and reality television.

attack it feels like I’ve been talking to myself again but it’s the only way you’re ever going to learn you lock back and it’s all in the past I’m dwelling on the thoughts I cannot say to you if I don’t say the words then maybe it’s not true and feels all right when they come and say to [Music] you good evening welcome to nufc matter with me Steve r that is the Three Amigos the perfect way to kickart your Newcastle United weekend and um there a little bit of a surprise not just for you out there on this pre-recorded show but for the three lads who joined us on screen tonight cu the music [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] it is a big welcome back to B mag how are you son evening gentlemen hello B mag is this how on Earth is this still on air I thought you’d have been long G by now went right up when you left H just for those out there who tune into the show lots of people always ask how Joe is is he okay me and Joe kept in touch uh work took him away from the channel he unfortunately had to go off and do his proper job um and just couldn’t commit to doing the shows on a regular basis he didn’t want to do a part-time job and he says can I ring you when I when if I can come back can I give you a bell yeah do it so we’ve kept in touch H so bah mag son of the great Lenny um is back and um we thought it was a great time to bring him back especially with England getting to the final so he has got a tip for us for the final and unfortunately Jo is on call tonight we just having a pre-record on a Thursday Fridays are now blocked out and he can do every Friday again which is great but we’ve got him here and he is on call so in case the dreaded phone rings Joe I am G to give you your chance to give us a little give us give us your tips for the weekend because England of course um we favorites for the competition going in we’re we’re favorites going into this competition to win it and and I guess we were all going not a chance in hell especially the way we started but lo and behold here we are Sunday uh Sunday night we take on Spain um where we at with the odds Joe yeah I shall let you know um only I could return back to the great nufc mats could now and then say it to Steve but I am on call and I’ll probably have to go at some point so I will apologize Advanced people but yeah it’s good to be back some things never change so in terms of the final as you say Steve unbelievably may I had England I playing Spain on Sunday night which I didn’t think after the first couple of games we’d be saying Spain are the favorites they’re unbeaten and naturally so um they’ve battered everybody they’ve played um they are six to four to win the game England though a five to2 and if you think it’s coming home I get on that now um because I don’t think that’s a bad price at all and the draw after 90 minutes is 9 to5 um you know a lots of people are kind of wondering if we’ll get a nil nil draft a 90 minutes one all possibly if you do fancy both teams to score um that is attempting evens so again I possibly get on that early as well because France did have chances against Spain and we know they’re likely to score against us Harry Kane and Alvaro marata lead the way uh when it comes to the anytime goal scorers you can get favorites for that evens for that sorry they are the favorites interestingly Bayo Saka is 4 to1 and Dean rice who just every now and again pops up with Summit is 14 to one so why not there’s a couple of tun links uh if the any of these guys get a game uh IO Perez is on the list um I just under three to one Mickey Marino who continues to be a great player and I always wonder if what if he’d still been around um he’s six to one Kieran trippier who I don’t think will feature um is 18 to one and they’ve got Anthony Gordon at 5 to one uh but I’ll give you 8 to one if he manages more than three seconds on the park nil nil 11 to2 1 nil Spain is the same price 21 Spain 9 to1 but if you think it’s coming home you can have 13 to two for one nil England and 2-1 England is a massive 10 to one so put your smart money on it good stuff H good to have you back Jo I know you’re gonna hang around in case you get call look just depart mate you know how to do it great to have you back on the show I’m sure there’ll be a lot of people smiling out there and um yeah lots to talk talk about uh it is of course still the close season the transfer window is open uh but the bombshell uh that we had I guess this week which at the time of us pre-recording this show on the 11th on the Thursday um hasn’t been confirmed by the club hasn’t been confirmed by amandra dad um but it is that they are to depart Newcastle United Steve and that they are on their way out of the door so what did you make of the news is it going to be is is it going to be one of those moments where you knew where you were when Kennedy was shot you knew where you were when uh amand rir D left I think it may well be for an awful lot of Newcastle fans Steve um yeah I mean there’s a lot of people on social media said that they could see it coming I think we all knew that was an end game and certainly uh us three on the top line here knew that there was always going to be an exit strategy that would be introduced but I don’t think any of us expected it to come um in July of 2024 I don’t think we expect it to come so soon after the statement released in April that said they were very happy here um don’t don’t take notice of what you see put up on company’s house etc etc um so I think it it if if everybody is honest it’s come as quite a shock U and quite a surprise I think probably a surprise more than anything else um and I think there’ll be an air of disappointment um the main thing to say Steve first of all is that nobody knows why um this statement has come out um it seemed to be Craig hope that broke the story that was the first one I saw anyway and I know it was immediately caught up on by the rest of the newspapers um the sun um the athletic um various TV pundits that they all had the five penny worth in within a matter of minutes um whether they were all feeding off the one story or not I’m I I wouldn’t like to to Hazard a guess that um but it did come as quite quite a surprise um and as you say No statement from from the club I suppose what we also have to look at is well none of us really know the reason for it we can’t we could we could speculate la come home we could say that there’s been a falling out here there’s been a falling out there we could we could say that it was pre-planned we could say that there’s been a night of the Long Knives there’s all sorts of things that could we could people have been speculating on already but the truth is that until we hear from Mad Amanda nobody knows what the rationale is for them um moving away from from Nast United what we do know is that they’ll leave a massive Hall um they’re going to walk away and um with the heads HS heads high can I even say it now heads Held High um they’re going to walk away with the thanks of the entire Jord Nation as John Hall would call us um the tun Army everybody you know the before they came I you know I don’t think very many people knew about them um the stories you know start to spin out that they were interested and buying the club and then it was it was all off as we all know that’s all history um but they are now very much steeped in Nas United folklore for the rest of their days aren’t they that’s the the first thing to say um where does it leave us um well big news to Phil that’s the first thing I would say um we’ve now got the four Apostles although I think there was only we’ve only got a Peter and a Paul in our list of Apostles they’ve I don’t think the apostles had a John and a br Darren and a brad um but now we’re in the situation where Peter silverson and Paul Mitch and Brad Miller and Darren neels have now got to take up the mantle and um if I’m perfectly honest they’ve gotten now earn our trust the trust of the supporters because obviously we could perhaps take Paul Mitchell out of the equation slightly because he’s only been here a week um we could take Brad Miller out of the equation so much as he’s only been here six weeks but certainly pet silers and more importantly Darren eels as the CEO who’s been here for um nearly as long as me had had an Amanda um now have to step up to the plate um I think mad and Amanda certainly Amanda H were very much the voice and the face of of Newcastle United when it came to the fans and uh Now The Quiet Man um who has said very very little in his uh 10 years so far other than opening the odd shop and cutting the odd ribbon um now has to step up the play and represent Nas United um worldwide so I think big shoes to fill um I think they’re all unproven certainly unproven at Nast united we could turn around and say that Silver’s proved somewhat in terms of the commercial deals that he brought in but I don’t know how much uh he was them or not um and and now obviously we need an awful lot more commercial deals and if M Hadad and Amanda were involved in anything um that’s not going to responsibility passing to the commercial team um forth with so lots to fill lots to lots to bring forward um and just at the point where we were thinking you know what transfer window uh we’ve got through the the profit and sustainability window we’re now into the main transfer window that’s what we’re going to be concentrate on from now till September and it’s not we’re going to be we’ve now how we’re now being absorbed in moves uh changes and whether that changes for changes sake whether it’s strategic uh or whatever um there’s nothing worse going into a season when the top of the office has been shaken up um and you’re still waiting for the lower down part of the office to to fill its boots with uh new signings and transfers in and out so I I think all in all it’s going to be an interesting period for Nas United um in a one that I didn’t expect we would be talking about uh this this time in July Steve um I thought maybe he’s having this conversation in 180 months two years time yeah it’s a strange one and like I say this is a pre-recorded show Thursday uh we’re doing this so the May well in the 24 hours before you see this show the May well have been an announcement so we will have to wait and see Mitch it is strange timing um yeah I Lov Steve’s expression there of a potential night of the Long Knives um you know we hope that isn’t the case we hope that it’s something completely different but I have to reiterate and you and I have done that on our two Magpie M’s videos where essentially you know we you know we just have to wait and see they get our best wishes we we’ve known these people for you know for the for the whole involvement and interest in Newcastle the subsequent takeover we’ve had a we’ve had an involvement with them no be it will be it quite small in recent months and and years but those initial contacts you know we we spent a lot of time getting to know these people and and what they were all about and we can certainly stand up and say that they were genuine people and we we can say that they were genuine were people of the word and you know I’d just like to think that this is just progression and you know that there is some sensible reason behind it but the silence that we’ve had up until 10 to 6 this Thursday night isn’t conducive to to you know to to Common Sense and and it just simply leads to to rumor speculation and cynicism on behalf of thinking you know the thinking supporters out there something that the clubs not excelled out of late for me is is letting situations like this develop their own narrative through a vacuum and and that’s exactly what’s already happening is that the the the vacuum of information is already allowing speculation titl tattle uh Frank making things up uh appearing on social media and more um and that’s difficult for me the you you’ve hit the ne on the head in terms of the surprise for me is timing if this was another twoyear down the lane I wouldn’t have bed an IID no uh it’s the taming is the bit that it’s the why now and that then ‘s questions about well is it tied in with the whole scramble the PSR scramble as somebody seen something and thought we kind of be operating in this halfhazard way we’ve now got people in certain roles who are football people to do certain things and therefore these these jobs need to be dished out amongst them and we need to take out the um nonf football elements of it and we need to be dealing with in a very different way um that will be one scenario they were always going to step aside eventually that that was always part of the plan that’s quite clear as fans we lose figureheads we lose the people who sold with a dream and kept the dream going you know how how many hours did we spend in Zoom meetings like this various screens with in various time zones um discussing things when everybody thought it was dead and knew it wasn’t and who did keep it going well they did they kept everybody at the table um and so for them to step aside now as Steve’s alluded to those people who now come in I mean God God knows how many Acron acronyms we’re going to have by the end of next week and let see o c CFO B and Q and the m o u e um it but either way that is the way most clubs Do It um but what we they haven’t got yet in some individuals is the trust of the fans the way amander and may may dad did um that connection is so very important at our club and then therefore somebody very quickly needs to be stepping up to fill that vacuum too um my criticism with Darren eels of late has been very much he’s a good news person and he’ll come to an event and sing the blade and races and buy everybody a paint but where is he when it’s bad news and how does he handle himself in those situations and where’s the connection to the fans that allow him to do that um I might sound like nitpicky at the minute but I think what we’re seeing is it’s not so much the end of honeymoon period it’s the end of the beginning it’s the end of that phase that we knew would always happen but the the bit that Still Remains for me is but why now why is it being decided that this is now the time to do this um it now makes sense of a few of the companies house things that were bouncing around particularly the memorandum saying by the chairman that basically said PF can put in as much money as the want the rest of the shareholders don’t have to anymore um that was clear something big was changing in ownership structure when that was was provided um because your man made had shareholding was been deleted to 6% as it is already um and so the next question is what happens to the Ruben Brothers do they help to absorb some of that 6% and then do and how engaged and how um involved does Jamie Ruben stay and what role does he carry as the Ruben’s representative on the board going forward because he seems to have developed a close relationship with mayad in particular yeah and so again that leaves a um an area where that you know there shouldn’t be but there could be personal problems which then interfere with the running and the Gan AED which is you know that shouldn’t be the case um what I hope comes out of this is that we have a an organized group of individuals with clear defined rules who have football Bas in where they come from when decisions are made and who are prepared to sit with a premier league and not and be a different face in East United not be one who’s prepared to give them a handshake or a cuddle maybe ones who are prepared to tell them their off every now and again and do it in the right way do they have the the inclination to do so or are they football people who will want to keep football relationships ahead of the benefit of the club because what I wouldn’t want to see us become is quick to bout with the knee to the premier League cuz I’m I know after all the struggles they had that would be one of the last things Amanda and mad would ever want to do um in fact there’s times I think they’ve really wanted to take the fights to the Premier League and have been persuaded to cool their Jets a little bit so it’s it’s an interesting timeing um good look to those trying to fill the void and the vacuum and that’s for me is the when you see little things going on within the club that are clearly internal power struggles in certain areas when you say sometimes how communication with the fans hasn’t always been brilliant and now we lose the people who are the figureheads of trust in that um how the club go about filling that void replacing that connection to the fan base will be very interesting for me uh and so and with regards to the m mad my God after everything you you kind of just say anything other than thank you very much and wish them all the best in the future we we’ we’ve seen the highs and the lows I remember they got to a point coming onto a zoom call like this you could say from body language particularly in Amanda whether it was going to be a call walking away with a smile on my face or a call walking away with more concerns and for RO brows because the body language was was I tell you what I bet she be a rubbish pork applier you did tell her that you know it’s it’s like you know you join a call and she just dancing and you’re like oh this is going to be a good one I mean without without giving away anything personal I just love their interaction between the two of them um you know that’s what really made me yes you know I mean I I was privileged enough to go down meet them meet them at the house and a couple of times and and meet the meet the people behind them and I made a point on my Magpie musing um yesterday of just just reiterating that it was a team you know there was a team of people who worked behind them to make the make the Takeover happen and you know yes they were the figureheads yes they were the ones who were you know the face of the Takeover and they were a welcome face but I mean I don’t think anybody can ever forget the the how important it was at times to do do a few things for them and the supporters did you know I mean the trip to London that we helped facilitate a big thanks to Johnny Allen who was a big part of that um facilitating the bus taking the stick off people on social media people saying that theyve ripping the fans off and it was fical idea that was at the that was at the request of Amanda they they said it was important we went down you know Holly who used to be on the channel you know was was only you know a young last buter was brave enough to go down and hand something in a Downing Street and give a speech outside the the gate to down a street something that she’ll probably remember for the rest of her life and it was it was very very important all of that kind of period and and a man and it came back came with a man REM dad’s blessing and and a big shout out to Keith Patterson because he was on the flip side he was on the other side of the fence he was the one who was you know leasing with not only did he write that Infamous letter but he was Ling with Keith bishop and and other people on the you know on the on the Mike Ashley Side you know and we were is and with Keith and you know there Lots going on and people say will you do a book will you do a book I mean we’ve all made notes we’ve all written stuff down and the idea was to originally do a book but you know it may happen it may not happen is anybody interested in the politics of Newcastle United did people read books anymore you know speaking as a as a self-publisher and somebody who set me own company up and done lots of books that you know that book sales aren’t exactly you know flowing um people read Kindles you know I know I’m sidetracking here a little bit but the point I’m trying to make is is the really The Thirst for that kind of book I’m releasing a book for somebody this year which I’ve held put together about the entertainers I think there’s a I think there’s a reason a reasonable chance people will buy that to look back at yester year on a wonderful period and listen to the interviews we’ve conducted with some wonderful wonderful players of yester year and I think people will buy that but the politics of a takeover and the foral takeovers that we we were involved in that never never had a captain hell’s chance of going through I think there’s lots of um I think there’s lots of angles to it and where we know there is and yeah I listen I think we’ll continue to make our notes it’s um you know I I always said it would be nice to bring it out if Newcastle or when Newcastle win a trophy and maybe that’s the time to do it but um I think I think it’ll be a low print run but I think I think most people on nufc matters would probably want to read it um and a few of our detractors would probably want to read it as well but um we’ll wait we’ll come George um George we always respect your opinion on these matters and you know you’re you’re such a a great guy and and somebody who’s you know got a you know Wonderful knowledge of our of our football club um and I know you think of Amanda and mad highy and you’ve spoken in recent weeks just about how important they are and how how they’ve been you know to to the club um what what was your thoughts when you heard the news that potentially they could be you know leaving the club and and and and the time George well the timing and announcement is was I’ve got to confess was was devastating I’m not saying that I didn’t realize it was going to happen yes I think we’ve all knew on this platform we’ve talked about the fact that shares were gone and all of that sort of thing that uh something like this was going to happen but not now it I think somebody one of you said if it’ been a couple of years time we’d all been saying yeah that that that’s it’s gone according to plan as it were there seems to be a plan um and so it was I don’t mind admitting was devastating I had to read it more than once to make sure that uh I was reading it right um and uh yeah it’s it’s it’s huge sadness I mean uh we’re all sitting here quite disturbed by this this news um contrasted how we felt when people like uh Seymour went when mck went when Lord Westwood went did anybody put the black and white button out then did they hell were building coffins for most of them wanted them they wanted them gone that’ll never be the case for Amanda and M dad um the uh they did the did the uh the the the the rougher trick he they bought into Newcastle and new not just Newcastle United they bought into the whole tside issue and the Jordy issue and that’s always important for people are going to do well with our club and they did it I mean uh should might not thank me for saying it out loud now but just’s entitled to the credit no very few people on towns side know that last year for example every child in Newcastle the Newcastle schools got three School meals because of Amanda stavely 23 million pounds worth of fre School meals um not even a word about it by Mo to most people and yet that was happening now that’s the kind of uh work I like that that uh do it and somewhere down the line somebody remember you may get a little bit of Praise but sh that it wasn’t intended for praise and that that’s what they’ve done all the way through so yeah devasta and uh um I only had one brief brief contact UM with with Amanda stevely and it was when I was coming home from seeing Neil in Dubai and our paths crossed in in the airport on the we back the Tade and she was standing and I I and she came to give me a sort of a half look and and uh could say she was wondering you know why I was so interested and I just said I’m Jord D’s dad and that was that was enough that was enough it was enough um but uh yeah it it devastating at first um I’d hate to think that there’s been some sort of Night of the long KN that would that would be even more devastating to me because they don’t deserve that if if there’s been a mistake and the in the and they’re getting the blame for the uh the the shambles at the end of the the the uh P PFI review um that that would be sad because uh um it it’s not a way to go out now I I think that was very very desperate because there’s nobody in there um can can can match them I mean uh I I I should had a little bit when I an Neil described um eels as being the man who the the sing the blade and races and by everybody of paint we’ve just got rid of him man who don’t want to booger back Ashley the call I think that was AR’s name and I’m not going to build any statues to him um so yeah the massive massive figures to to disappear from any football club but particularly ours because they bought into the whole um Jordy um tains side Legend stuff and and and really meant it you could say it was sincere I mean look what she look what they’ve done for the for the women’s football team for example you know and she she’s been behind most of that and uh they will be devastated that she’s she’s not around and you just need to look at how they’ve progressed you know promotion after promotion once they got involved and now just a a ha but away from being at the at the top table in women’s football that would be great as well and and other things as well the the the um uh the uh disabled kids you know how they’ve progressed in terms of of of football so it hasn’t just been all um The Upfront big stories that they got involved in they got inolved in the stories as well and uh uh never never turn away to anybody that wanted to say hello or have a photograph um yeah just just absolutely huge hul if when to go um it makes a mess of my it might not make a mess it might make it more obvious I’ve been seeing on here for a while that I still had a feeling that when the Premier League gets it come up one of the people that would help to put it right would be Amanda stavely me that like they did with the golf thing they get no nobody out there gives them a hate with a credit for what happened with with the golf you know when what PG and and the live golf it ler heads of the whole world say oh golf’s gone it’s it’s not going to be the same again it’ll never be right a couple of weeks with them too and it was sorted where everybody was saying it’s never going to happen well I I still have this thing in the back of my mind that uh when the then the wheels come off the Premier League and and Marc and his crew are sent somewhere um that it would be aanda be one of the people who put it right so um I still think that’s a possibility but I think it’s less so if they if they’re departing from uh from mastle United um and yes I I again agree with Neil that I I’ve got a sneaking fancy that the the inner fate there of Amanda because clearly she she’s not a person that takes things lying down um she uh she would really have I think in in in in a worst days would love to have had to go with the Premier League up front um but didn’t for the sake of Newcastle United um and uh yeah devastating and and uh wish them well uh everything they’ve done as I say you you look at all the figureheads that we’ve had and who’ve departed and see how many of them would been putting the flags out for in sadness but putting the flags out to get rid of the musy you know same more actually you you name it there’s very few of them even the modern ones uh some of the ones that that that that did great things um and I hate to say it to him but but because I know I’m gonna say it because he says I’ve said it to him um the uh you know the great things John Hall did and even he at the end because the way he messed about with Keegan and and and all of that um left left and the Takeover left with Ashley left a bit of a taste in the mouth well you can’t see that about aand there and me and Dad they go uh with the lads have said go without our a blessing and good luck to whatever they do the other um thing that did worry me when I first heard it was it how is man do health because there’s no secret that she has a she has a health problem uh and that uh um you know is that please God it’s not something to do with that but it wouldn’t be surprised if it if it was because because it’s it’s not an easy problem that she’s got so so yeah um the biggest sadness for me is that uh two adopted jordis who bought into the whole Jordi scene have Departed the scene if if they’re gone and that that’s always a sad thing and uh um Good Luck to them you know whatever they do when and if they go and help somebody else well those people are in for a treat as well um and uh if it’s any saying of how well thought are the are in football um just look at all the trait that’s coming out of Manu and and their podcasts about saying you know they’re going to employ her as a tea lady and all that trip uh well um I’ll bet in 10 years time you’re not saying that about Radcliffe I tell you I bet Radcliff hasn’t got got the flags up the PO to say Well done in 10 years time for them like like Amanda and me dad five for us so uh sad sad terribly sad and uh um like the rest of you the timeing is curious time is curious and uh I’d hate to think it was something to do with the recent matters in the clobo you all know how upset I was at the end of the uh of that period where we were selling trying sell players not sell players and all the rest of it um there was a smell about it and still not a not a not a real um commentary from the club um and that that that’s sad too so good luck with them um thank you for what you’ve really nice really nice I do want to reiterate it’s a Thursday night with we’re pre-recording this show we’re not live tonight something may have happened something may have been said uh over the last 24 hours as this show goes out so uh you know forgive us if we are slightly behind but maybe we’re not maybe silence is still golden and you don’t know what’s happened but Joe um it’s your first week back and it’s a big it’s a big week in in in many ways and I guess we’ll know how big it is once once the announcement uh is made by the club and by amander and M D um the were rumors of course potentially a big meeting in anic this weekend of the top brass of Newcastle United maybe that was you know part of the the the story maybe the leak has come from you know one of the journalists Steve mentioned um you know the you know a couple of people there mentioned Craig Hope but obviously you know who broke story fair play to them if they have got it that’s what journalists are supposed to do but um yeah overall if it if it has if it is the end and if it is aand rier D gone and what what’s your thoughts on on what’s happened over the last couple of days I think um I’ll be honest with you I forgot this show had like a serious element to it I only I come back for the Doug pictures um I can only reiterate what the guys have said Stephen I think Neil Neil used a word there um which is very important to me in most elements of of of my life was hope and I think since the sky cameras captured yourself and your dad was it 2017 I think it was at the Liverpool game and we wondered who this lady was she looked imaculate you know um she celebrated the goal as it the equalising goal as it went in and you’re thinking hang on you know in comparison to what we had at the time and what we’d endured for the previous x amount of years we’ve actually got something to hang our hat on we’ve got and I often refer to her as she always come across as a touch of class and that was the one thing under the last regime that this football club was devoid of there was no class anywhere um so so as the take over momentum um you know kind of gathered and the more you heard from her and from from their dad and they started to sell us the dream a little bit in terms of you know she was using statements like we have we’re not just taking over to do the same thing we’re taking over to make this football club the biggest and best football club in Europe as a lifelong Newcastle United fan no one had ever said that before you know look at the characters that that that Mr Mitchell’s just railed off there nobody was interested in making Newcastle John all dreamed about it you know unfortunately we never got there um but all of a sudden it felt ible and then you’re mentioning that they’ve got links to kind of PF and what that might mean in terms of um you know the clout to take us where she was promising us and all of a sudden you date the dream and people went back to the football stadium people started buying the shirts again um broadcasters suddenly got back interested in Newcastle United after slating us um they rode out the whole um Saudi anti- Saudi agenda and they were still there front and center this is going to happen and um and wow and you know what as well in terms of their credentials as business people she didn’t just promise it the bloody did it and there’s not many people out there who actually deliver what they say they’re going to deliver um and Amanda stavely did I did often wonder about the size of the investment and how how how much clout um PCP Partners actually had when you’ve got this colossal that’s PF sat behind you was it always going to be a case that the big boys at some point going to say this is our ball and we’re going to play with it now um I don’t know I think one of the disappointing things outside of losing amander and my dad because it is a loss you know as far as I’m concerned is that the one thing that we were promised at this football club was transparency now if it’s for personal reasons if it’s um if there’s boardroom disharmony or whatever the reasons are I don’t expect our dirty Lin to be a in public but actually what I would have expected is um if this is true and say Steve by broadcast tomorrow you know we this this might be a mute point but actually have they gone what is happening what’s the reason and what’s the plan and I think if this is a football club that’s promised us that they are going to be more transparent and talk to us Daren Neil’s better front and center tomorrow um because you know we’re embarking on a you mentioned the transfer window let’s not forget this lady was absolutely pivotal she was like a dog with a bone to try and get Anthony Gordon and and look look what happened signed an absolute gem um so I don’t think she was as naive you know in in the negotiations I don’t think she was this the things that the the backl people accused her of being I think she was shrewd I think she was astute she was a touch of class and it was the one thing that this football club’s been crying out for so I can only reiterate what George has said she’ll go with every blessing under the sun because she’s dead us to dream and she’s delivered a little bit of it it is quite sad to think that one day when we do see you know uh Tali lift the FA Cup or whatever that’s going to look like that you know I’m sure they’ll be there as guests but they might not be there as part of the staff but she got the ball rolling she blew the first whistle and um you know good luck to them I kind of hope she doesn’t turn up another football club because it will only benefit them you know we’ve battled for a long time kind of to to protect our footballers um I’m not so bothered about Mr Ashworth he can he can go and rock at Old Trafford with the rest of the stadium as far as I’m concerned but I’d hate to see it kind of tip up with Chelsea and you know be part of their kind of you know next phase and stuff so Mitch at the nail on the Ed it feels like the end of the beginning I think I’d focused on the footballers and I think some of the footballers that were leaving and some of the footballers that’ll leave over the next 18 month you know even players that we brought in to to to to to to stay you know to to to kind of steer us away from relegation they will move on because the football team will go to the Next Level I didn’t think that the board were going to do that quite yet so as as George has said you know hopefully she’s well um and and you know hopefully she’s made a bit of money because I’m sure with the shares that she initially bought are worth a hell of a lot more today than they were when she bought them so I’m sure they’ll get a good you know good screw out of it but yeah it it just feels a bit odd and and I’m sitting here I’ve I don’t have the knowledge and the experience and and and everything that you guys you know know and and have been through um I s here as a fan and I was thinking who we signing I’m looking at footballers I’m looking at you know watching the Euros he he’s pretty good I quite like that georgean left back or whatever it is um didn’t think for a minute that Amanda stavely would be be walking away so I can only put my faith in the fact that it’s a business decision that’s that’s been made for the right reasons on all for all parties on all on all sides and we will move forward again um but we’re going to need Darren to do that and I I it really bothers me um as George alluded do and as as Steven NE said you know yeah we don’t need another Glo who buys us a pint we had that and he was a [ __ ] but we don’t want another one you know we were led to believe that this fell wasn’t and what he’ done at at atanta and and all the cuos that he brings it’s time to start seeing it now um because you know um yeah they’ve laid the foundation and and it’s only right that people like Neil zal Peter silverston carry that forward so interesting to see what comes next yeah definitely s Steve I wonder if I could finish off that having just been on The Fringe of some of the Takeover stuff all you Lads were involved in you might recall that uh that I used to facilitate an opportunity for whoever was involved to go and meet the Lord leftenant and the Lord left tenant’s office is in gates at civic center and twice I had people on the arm going to meet the Lord left tenant who were interested in taking over Newcastle United and who should have bumped into coming out the gear Civic Center booty and bloody moons and I couldn’t tell them [Laughter] why with Amanda sadly yeah what’s what’s interesting out of all of this is you know we’ve all we all agree that but in in terms of ncast United I suppose since the just the John Halliday that’s when we sto started to realize that it wasn’t always about managers there were it was just as important who was in The Boardroom you know the leadership you know I think that was the point where we suddenly realized that leadership wasn’t in The Dugout you know we’d seen that under Joe Harvey and then we’d seen the the the turmoil that was created after Harvey left and then that’s when the board started to have problems sort of the back end of the 70s and then all the way through the 80s then s John Hall came and so that was when the the Yas became the celebrity if you like they became the face of of the football club we we had Abramovic down at Chelsea um and then we had we had s John as an owner and we had the we had the the um the guy down at Blackburn um in the in the in the uh in the 90s as well so owner suddenly started to to show their face and then it then it sort of kind of rolled into CEOs and you know the likes of Peter Kenyan and people like that um David Dean at Arsenal that that rule suddenly H became the figure head and what I would say is that in all of this I would have expected Dar neels to have learned one thing about ncast United during the two years that he’s been here is that had you not looked at the tenure of Mike Ashley and realized that when you leave a void it’ll get filled with all sorts of clamor and even even a void of 24 hours of seeing is a lifetime in Newcastle an absolute Lifetime and it’s all well and good as as smiling when but last thing you can say there disaar when things start to go difficult for you you know look Freddy there was a man who when things went badly was straight up there into your face and telling you straight you know you can see what you like about me and you see what like what I’m planning on doing but I’m doing it regardless type of thing that was slightly different that was you know that was a that was that that was the the man H the individual The Rocker if you’re like doing the dirty work on behalf of the of the owner and this and and whatnot um but you remember soon as soon as the owners start to fall out with the with the fans or soon as the CH executive start to fall out with the fans it’s it’s the it’s the rocky road at newcast it really is so These Guys these four guys whose GES have mentioned both from the commercial side and as Chief operate O say and CEOs and and sporting directors they’ve got to get a grip quick because it can very very quickly slip um it um and it’s it’s just I could I could be speaking in a in a in a sense because it’s like emotional but what I’m actually visualizing I’m looking back and I’m and then I’m looking forward and I’m saying well what’s to come how are you going to do it you’ve got to get out there and get that message out straight away guys because you can lose it very quickly supposing for example your your your transfer window doesn’t go very well and you haven’t got a manand and me there explaining to you and Darren neels comes on the Telly and tries to explain to you why things are going wrong you’re quickly going to turn around and go get you had every chance I if it was coming from mad and Amanda had a few problems a few difficulties etc etc because of the Goodwill that they’ve already built up then that would that would be taken a lot easier and seeing it because over the last let’s say six months or even the last three months when people started going on about PSR when everyone whenever anyone’s come out and criticize the way that the club’s gone it’s always been for the project you know stick in don’t worry there’s a mon plan but that wasn’t coming from anyone within the football club it was coming from the fan base because there was that trust element there and if if these guys don’t build that trust back up very very quickly I think they could have problems yeah Steve we’ve got a bit of an Internet issue with you m your uh your internet has been we’ll let you go there because we could just we could just hear you but your picture brozen now so we’re going to have a a little bit of a break um and will get you gives you an opportunity to get your internet sorted so cue this wonderful Kevin chilas who’s in the Liverpool to so there we go the DI I met Community project H there is K Terry Mack and Kev chilz and um he’s gonna get some stick for that on the fans for him from The Lads I guarantee you that wearing that Liverpool top were prayed as a youngster he was probably for that’s typical Kev isn’t it I I’ll wear a Liverpool top so I can catch Kevin Keegan and Terry Max notice that’s what it’ll be if you’ve got a photograph of your yourself meeting somebody from the castle United past or present get yourself onto Facebook join our group or our page uh join the group like the page H we’re nearly at uh n and a half thousand on the Facebook group which is great and you can post your pictures on there and I will pick them up or go on to X search at Steve rth and if you send me them on there I will pick them up so I can play this wonderful music [Music] [Music] so I make no excuse of making this show predominantly about Amanda and me and Dad but we are gonna have a little bit of a break from it because our friend has been in touch again uh with a little teaser for all of the Amigos and it’s from Stephen Kennedy okay amigos you guys are old enough to remember these your mama is given you two buy uh some money to buy two quarters of two different suits for yourself what are you buying so there you go a wonderful picture of a j of lots of jaws of sweets on a good old shop I used to sell sweets like this so I’m going to go first Lads and if I and it wasn’t so two quarters you used to be able to get a quarter of sweets um I mean George we probably go in a different a different Zone with George on this H but I’ll tell you what I would have bought um you see I had a few that I really really liked I used to love chocolate lines so I would get a quarter of chocolate lames and I’m going to go for a quarter of Bon bonss toy Bon bonss so I’ve got a I’ve got I’ve got a Shir so I’ve got something a little bit CH the chocolate line was nice and the Bon bonss that’s what I’m going to go for so Steve you can’t pick the same ones as me m and you’re not having any of M you’re not having any of mine I would go for the aned one the aned balls oh the balls not the twists no the balls and I would also go for the uh the lemon quas you know that they used to like were hard but when you put them in they would just like sort of melt away I would go oh right okay right yeah yeah that would go right so MIT quarter black bullets bullets classic and quarter jazzi’s is that not magazine no Mr yes keep it clean leave that me thank you what you know the like a chocolate button but got hundred thousands on the oh yeah oh right said what just a different name yeah different name his big Nana used to have a quarter of them every every Friday when we used to call and and say he’d been eating them since he was about 18 months old [Laughter] man okay here we go then George I’m coming to you next give us your uh give us your sweets mate what would you get two you’re allowed two quarters when you go to the show well I know you said I couldn’t pick yours well it would be gooseberries would be the first one and I’ve got to say tofy bon bons was my favorite um I couldn’t pass there was a little shop up was at the Stevenson School when I went to Stevenson School um and every dinner time uh all me dinner money went on on sweets like that and but always gooseberries and always toffee Bon bonss at the top of the list I’m I’m good we’re not live tonight because I would love to seen the the various suggestions in the chat but you’re probably you’re probably all having fun doing that now um okay then Joe watch what about you you are all about 30 year older than me what you talking about wish I wish I wish so it it excuse me it would have to be um lemon sherbet they were they were absolutely Sublime I love them and um I was always a stickler for I think it was chocolate you know just like the chocolate dust used to go all over you you were covered in God knows what you look like but I always felt like you were getting more bang for your book you always felt like you had more than what we sister used to get so yeah it was it was all about volume for me so yeah the the the cheap chocolate and the sherbet lemons they’re my favorite all right before we go up the ads I’ll Chuck one in for Stephen K you’ve got me m ticking over now um Stephen favorite chocolate bar than Steve your favorite chocolate bar chop b h now well now I mean what let’s let’s stick with yester year let’s because he’s gone with quarters I mean you can still go to places like be and go and get a quarter sweets but it’s very difficult to go get a quarter of sweets now um let’s go get go chocolate bars that AR with us anymore that you would you would go out well I mean I don’t remember any that AR with is other than what’s it was called the marathon but that’s you know yeah that that that one but I mean I I was always stick that for the Milky Way used to love Milky Way Milky Way yeah I mean some of these will have gone um for me I used to love the Walnut worlds did they still do them Walnut whip Walnut whip yeah on the top yeah used to go well it was it was a walnut Steve because that the clues on the name yeah true that’s one for thees that’s one for the Mal is that the one on the top go on Mitch what about you bless you know the fries chocolate cream you get the peppermint and you get the spearmint well they used to do one that was fruit and it was different ones in each one so if I could bring that back I would that’s in a Texan bar in Old English Spangles Old English Spangles okay yeah I remember them as well Spangles and there was double agent sweets as well double agents Google them kids Google it double agents one night George well I’m with NE on the fries chocolate cream because again that’s a a family George uh well I can’t help it me father-in-law Neil’s Granddad Jim the joner um all we used to get off him one of the one of the fries cream bars um it would be either the pepper minint or or the spe Min or the the or the fruity one and that that was his that was what always used to get off of so all even to me you know when I bear in mind I was uh when did I meet Jim the joina when I was about 15 and a half when I first started to go out with my margerie um even then that’s when I knew I was in the family because I used to get me chocolate B and Bloody Friday when he come in with his wedes um uh and the other one of course is is the one that I still love now and that’s crunchy crunchy’s been around a long time that and I can certainly uh certainly um this is great me I hit an animal and my cars toled am I covered the insurance company yes what did you hit me a fish there’s a car but as Freddy Shephard used like it or send them to me on X at Steve Brave and I will h no doubt show them next week with George joining in [Music] um I did mention this last weekend I didn’t want to include it in tweet of the week because I just wanted to get your opinions on it lad because we’ll fly through those tweets um this is the new sagales Football Federation statue honoring sadio man in his hometown um Steve um we’ve seen many great statues this isn’t one of them no it’s not definitely not I feel I feel for the lad DM I wonder if he was there when they unveiled it as well the I mean we have seen some some pretty Ry statues in my time haven’t we um but uh I think that’s that’s more Modern Art than than than anything else I mean I think Henry Mo would have been proud of that one I mean what we can say Mitch is it’s in the correct strip but even then one of the socks is tied around the leg not I mean there are so many questions so many questions gets worse the longer you look at yeah you’re right you can answer them the longer you look at it it gets worse it’s like some sort of nightmarish V Dummy from the 70s sort of light entertainment show with undertones of racism in it and it’s just horrendous it’s horr I really did feel for him when I saw that I mean Joe we’ve seen I mean the Cristiano Ronaldo one Joe I remember back in the day was was horrendous what what I mean have you seen this picture is this the first time you’ve seen it you know when the kids bring some really [ __ ] on from school and you have to say that’s amazing and stick it on the that’s what that’s terrific isn’t it bless him I mean I’m looking at these I’m looking at the I’m looking at the hands and it I mean I haven’t zoomed in um I’ve got more things to be doing with me life but it looks as if there’s like extended fingernails on there I don’t know whether he’s got like he’s had a nail job or whether they’re like Freddy Kruger’s knives on his hand George um overall thoughts of this marks out of 10 uh minus 10 I mean it doesn’t even get on the scale for me um I’d be looking for which Infant School uh pup did it you know which four year which four yearold the kindergarten did the Statue um gosh the really is uh horrendous and if as you see it the poor lad was there when they unveiled it he’s in the position that Jo joose just mentioned oh yes that’s lovely my God you noce as well I mean to make sure that it balanced and didn’t topple over they had to give him size 19 feet Yes Yes Yes actually I’ve just zoomed in on it it gets worse the the left hand the hands in such a position it’s quite it’s contorted and and the face his eyes his eyes are like almost out on stalks and and I don’t know what’s going on with the proportion of the low third of his face and that’s professionally speaking unfortunate fortunate that whoever he chose to design it um they chose to design it has made an absolute balls up of that there’s no doubt about it so um yeah we will uh we we’ll await some comment I guess from s man’s agent and family but um I doubt he’ll be endorsing that anytime soon um let’s get back to amandra and mad in that situation we’ve talked about and again pre-recorded show things may have escalated changed whatever before we go about there but should should they have gone Steve um do we need to replace them I mean we’ve talked quite a bit about Darren Neel stepping up to the plate or um having you know somebody somebody step forward is it a case of silverston or eel stepping forward and becoming that figurehead or is it a case of maybe he’s cleverly bringing in a you know replacement somebody who the fans can automatically go we trust that person is it is it time to perhaps put a club Legend in there no I think well it it could well be but I don’t think that would happen I think it’s more than likely that that Darren Neils has to step up step up to the plate that’s his role I mean always thought that there was a a crossover um you know Amanda seemed to be doing everything when the Takeover first happened and then Darren eels came in as a CEO but she still seemed to be doing CEO work and then obviously Ashworth came and then Ashworth went on garden and leave and then we heard that she was covering the um the transfer activity she was you know looking at The Scouting and and making looking at making deals on that side before H Paul Mitchell then was appointed and obviously the there’s been a a transitional period there because there’s no doubt that castle just simply couldn’t um announce Paul Mitchell in place while Darren neels was while Dan Ashworth was still on garden and leave so I think you know we got we got held up there it was it was inevitable that that uh deal was going to be done at some point but it just seemed to be man united just seemed to be dragging it out and uh that type of thing and and really Peter SS’s there from a commercial aspect and the other guy H Brad Miller is there but he works below Darren eels so you can’t expect him to be stepping up as the the spokesperson would would they go for a situation where you had like a media personality you know that that that then took on that role um you know some clubs have tried it in the past but it’s tended to be more the manager you know um you know under Ashley if you remember it was it was always simply it was Rafer on nobody it was Steve Bruce on nobody it was it was uh McLaren on nobody um You didn’t hear anything really from uh from anyone else um it seemed to be that that it was left to them to do the talken but not to do the decision Mak uh and I think now we we’ve moved to move to the stage where Darren does need to step up to the plate and I think that’s the role that he’ll have to take on he also has to take on the role as the the demanda obviously had which was representing us as we’ve said earlier at the Premier League Premier League meetings and such like um that’s another area where sometimes it was the sport and director from some clubs are there it’s this this of executive if it’s in the case of um let’s say Brighton it would be Paul barar unless the the it’s specifically something very very important in which case the owner wants to be there um it’s certainly when it comes to Crystal Palace um it’s Steve Parish um I don’t think Kony turns up the meetings I think he has Executives and what’s going to be interesting is to see who turns up and represents Manchester United I suspect it’ll be uh it’ll be it’ll be the new owner if you like um it certainly wasn’t any of the uh of the of the the previous family but I think these a lot of it comes down to egos as well a lot of it comes down to you know some people have a personality that allows them to get out there and confront things up and then they grow into the role um it’s interesting the void that sundland left because KL doesn’t do much talking um and look at the problems that that created they ended up with having black and white stuff put up in you know for the for the Cup match and stuff like that you know yeah that’s that’s the problem if you have the wrong people who are not willing to take the responsibility of fronting things up and being able around to say no that doesn’t happen that does happen um that’s the void that very very quickly creates the the the problems with the fan base because it own like I’ll use Sun the analogy it’s not that long ago that they were all raving over Caroll and saying what a what a a good owner he was um and then three managers and one disastrous cup with black and white in the in the stand in in the corporate area and immediately he’s like you know it’s the night of the Long Knives there you know and and and I don’t think the guy’s recovered yet from it and I I suspect he won’t because if they don’t get off to a good start with this manager they’ve got then they they’re going to they’re going to have real real big problems in their boardroom so it’s important that these people who get paid the job do the job and I think with newcast it’s very very important that somebody does do that frontting up and I think mad Amanda did it very well I think they did it very cleverly um I think that personality’s lent them to it but at the moment we don’t know really much about Darren ne’s personality because we haven’t really heard that much from him um Peter silveron he’s been on a couple podcasts he’s been on radio Newcastle um we haven’t heard anything from our new sporting director but I wouldn’t have expected to I think he’s got more important things to be doing um internally uh getting his feet under the table and and spending time with uh with the management team um the football management team that is you know H Eddie how and and and the rest of them and getting into the academy and talking to to the people there so I think that it only leaves Darren to be perfectly honest yeah yeah I just noticed that yeah because of the kitchen situation the um the the question I put to Steve it was was you know if if they do go you know will will there be a replacement brought in and you know I’m just sighting a potential ex player you know like an ambassador to come in and almost be that that person who has the trust of the supporters you know what I mean like a a figurehead we’ve speculated in terms of the appointment of Paul Mitchell were their appointments going to be associated with it and certainly to have somebody who could be the face of the club who could interact with both fans and media alike um with knowledge of the history and the the club City Community Synergy and and how basically nasted is I think would be a very shrewd appointment but what they then do within that structure um I don’t know whether it would be a board appointment or whether it would be you know extra of the board working under uh a combination of the chief the CEO and the sporting director stroke director of football whatever title Paul Mitchell comes in with um would remain to be seen but I think it would be a shrewd appointment because what we’re losing with amander and mad is that connection to somebody within the club who gave us hope and who sold the dream kept the dream alive kept the fires burning and that will have a trust with um I would still suggest if if they weren’t mov on if that is the case obviously again we’re pre-recording we don’t know what the actual score is until yeah statement’s proper um you know it it does seem premature for them to move on while they’re almost still in a honeymoon period I think they get away with murder still I think they could make many mistakes and they still got so much um in the bank with the fans that uh you know I think they could still write that um and that’s what the club would be very shrewd in making an appointment of somebody who could hit the ground running who could interact with the fans who could um keep the trust of the fan base in manage the fan base because we have become over the last few years I think quite a thirsty effort information um I think some elements of what fan base have become impatient and almost entitled uh when we still haven’t won anything within my lifetime um and and so it it would be a very challenging rule it would take the right individual but if the club could identify the right individual it would be a very shrewd appointment George what about you would you like to see um would you like to see someone come in and if if if it is the that amand Ria had are stepping aside after a wonderful period at the club would you like to see someone come in who at least we can Le you know we can we can look at and say yeah we trust you we know what you’ve done you’ve worn the shirt with with pride or you know somebody who comes in who’s got that kind of you know media presence and and and an ability to turn you know a crisis into not a crisis yeah well there there’s an obvious answer to that one if you want a former player and you see you’ll see him on the Telly shortly with the football won’t you because he’s commentating yeah he he he he he sticks out like the S thumb when you talk like that the problem they’ve got if they appoint somebody who’s just a figurehead but has no relationship at all with the players other other other staff um it would be a nonsense um you’d get another question like um our loan manager you know how many people know what our loan manager does because uh you know you get get those sort of questions all the time so um it’s got to be a proper job is what I’m saying and and for a proper proper individual who’s who’s got the cloud otherwise as you L to say most elegantly there’s a big Hall and we’re very clever on 10 side filling the hole for ourselves and making making a bad situation even worse so um yeah it is it’s a hard going to be a hard job to do that’s that’s fa it I mean at every level from from doing the Takeover right up through till it was successful and and since they came into the club uh proper um just being a busy person so is he you know that everywhere everywhere you went I mean one of the biggest shocks I got was that one night was when we’re playing Chelsea and there was a maner and m dad in the Chelsea um directness box not we bit we in the home bit obviously Jin wagen with the Chelsea board and and could probably do it with with a plum as they say um so to get somebody to repeat all of that and by the the the Jordy um bit of it the tsade bit of it as well would be very very hard indeed um I mean I I think I’ve I’ve said it on yeah I’ve certainly said it on other platforms one of the great issues in in the University when when I was first in was that we had a professor who used to Jo’s credentials as a Jordy by making would go to the Christmas party and listen to him sing nine verses of the blad and races and he thought that made ajy well it it made a JY but there was one or two adjectives in front of it before before got it um but but uh yeah we can’t be doing with that we need we need a a proper person and a proper person with a proper job and a linkage to all bits of the club particularly with playing staff as well as the the the boardroom that’s very hard but as I say if you pressed me very hard there is such a person out there he’s working for the BBC at the minute why doesn’t he come home and work for Newcastle United that would that would suit me down the ground um but uh um I don’t know it it it’s is it the short of job you want I don’t think so sadly um but it would ideal candidate but uh there’s got to be something put in its place we keep going back to Mr eels he Lads a right he’s got to step up to demonstrate he is what it says on the tin he is what it says on his office door and not just appear when the shops open or or this sort of thing and and and do a do a glad hand down the queue and all that sort of thing he’s got to be doing it regularly and and more more openly more specifically than he has so far um because as I say at the moment ne’s description of him you know um buying a few paints and singing the blading Racers sent to shter down M Spain because we’ve just got rid of that one we don’t want another one um so I do think it need that it needs careful thought and yes there will leave a hole it needs to be filled otherwise um the sort of speculation we’ve had um about the PSR stuff and all the rest of it will just get worse and worse and worse I should have with that as well that acronym PSR that that’s something that magistrates used to do in court we used to read PSR reports and every time I hear it I think I think I’m stepping back in into another world again pration service report is the acony code but uh you know it’s uh yeah need all it needs to be filled otherwise uh rumor speculation it’ll all just go to pot it will just get everything and nothing okay Joe it’s always hard for you to go last on this show but you know we’ve all got opinions we’ve always got opinions about this and and this is one you know your opinion could be vastly different would you would you be happy going into the season with with what we’ve got with the likes of eels and with the likes of silverston and you know um obviously Alam Mayan of course who we we don’t hear a great deal from you know I think most of us would probably like to hear a bit more from PF now that they’ve been here for so long but if that’s the way they want to do business who will wait to criticize but but ultimately from my perspective you know I would probably like to see somebody coming who at least would be I don’t like to say the Fall Guy just just a front a front person you know somebody who can come and say when the proverbial hits the fan as it often does at our football club and there is this uncomfortable period of no news um at all from the football club we need somebody to come out and do that kind of Keegan on the steps moment and say well this is what’s happening this is why it’s happening and don’t panic which the moment I’m afraid seems to be left to us on a Friday night um for for us to go don’t panic and who are we to tell you what’s going on at the football club because we don’t have Direct Communications with a club you know we we are like journalists in a sense we pick up a lot from good contacts um but we are often the ones who say don’t panic but would you like to see somebody in place um Jo it’s twofold for me stepen I apologize I I I didn’t catch what Steven Mitch were saying but I I I think in my head so the one the basic answer is yes I think every top organization needs a face of course it does but actually is that not what a CEO does is not is is part of their role not to be the voice and the one who fronts up when the brown stuff sit in the fan and also is right there to celebrate when it’s going really well should CEOs of top organiz ations um you know have the Charisma to do that and and the media savviness and all the rest of it of course because that’s where he gets paid X about a million pounds a year or whatever the hell he’s on to do so would I like someone yes um I I’m you know I’m I’m the Eternal you know Nostalgia freak when it comes to Newcastle and thinking of some of the names that are synonymous with with kind of me growing up with the club there’s loads of people who would do it and there’s loads of people who would be very very good at it and and the gentleman that that that Mr Mitchell’s talking about you know would have pize that but fundamentally um why should he why should he put you know why should he walk away from the BBC and his top job and his lovely podcasts and his comfortable life to to to come and have to do the Keegan on the steps moment when actually that’s what we pay CEOs for so in my head I’m I’m waiting for Darren eels now because Amanda ain’t going to be there uh you know uh depending on you know Jamie Rubin is a charismatic guy is that his job arguably not is it Yer Alan’s job is he here enough to front and center arguably not so sh it’s down to the guys who were doing the day-to- day running and and Darren neels is the top you know he’s the kidy he’s the top block so let’s hear from him let’s hear from what he’s got to say if it’s an absolute car crash if we get another Mike Ashley Sky interview you know the cat before the horse and all that [ __ ] he was talking about then fine maybe we need to revisit at the conversation but I’m up for giving him a chance I’m up for hearing what he’s got to say what is the plan not only from a transfer perspective but you know we’re waiting to hear what’s happening with the stadium the naming rights the shirt sponsorship the the training ground sponsorship the training kid sponsorship there’s lots and lots of things I’m waiting to hear from from Darren eels um so where are am mate you know there’s an invite there come out and talk to us and at that point I’ll evaluate whether we need to bring somebody in or actually he knows exactly what he’s talking about can I can I just say Steve as well I I think bringing an next player in is a pointless and chalice for them because I don’t know whether it’s just my negativity coming over here because Nostalgia and looking back but I just feel as though any any ex player who comes in with a role of being the spokesperson will be tarred with every mess that happens and we’ve we’ve seen it slightly with we Scher for example and when things haven’t gone right with with uh with loans that the players have had people have immediately questioned his rule um we’ve seen it with people in the in the back uh office that that do Hospitality the ground soon as something’s going wrong and people then start to question well why are they in there and I think that that it’s a I think it’s a it’s a danger that that players um the the the whole everything that they’ve brought to the club in in a positive way could potentially um be jeopardized if they all happen to be the one who has to dish out bad news because soon as you dish out bad news to football fans then it’s coming from their mouth not from the club’s mouth it’s coming from their mouth and I think that’s the test isn’t it for me what you’re talking about there is and at the moment let’s have it right it’s been a dream for Amanda stavely because they couldn’t do no wrong it couldn’t get any worse that you know with a million miles away from where they were so in terms of her coming out and and being the the positive face of the football club as George said earlier the women’s team you know Adidas you you name it it might just touch completely you earn your money when it’s not going so well and and I agree with you you know if if it’s I don’t know Keegan Bley sheira whoever it’s going to be be yeah you know they’ve got to come out and and when we’re beating Spurs 6 nil I’ll go and stand on the steps and talk to the fans that that’s brilliant that that’s amazing um when Spurs beat those 7even nil you’re right I think there’s a there’s there’s there’s there’s a danger to it so why tarnish people as I said earlier when you’ve got Executives earn an executive money let them earn it exactly and remember that’s why Kevin Keegan left eventually John Hall when they wanted him to front up the the share issue and and Keegan went no I don’t agree with it so I’m not going to see it so it was like a case of well you will see it and it was like no well I’m aw then you know that’s soon as you get a personality who is who is there to give out the good news when they have to then start dishing out the bad news they don’t want to be they don’t want to be the king of hearts or the king of speeds you know they don’t want to be chemical Ali who has to dish out all the dodgy dodgy sort of um cryptic uh sort of psychic publicity that they’re quite the opposite they don’t they no I didn’t make that decision that’s somebody else’s and and that’s where spinu is with politicians you know H that that people like that don’t last long because they don’t want to be the bearer of bad news the person who has to Bear the bad news has to be the person who created the bad news um and that’s why as you say the decision makers are the people who have to front things up we’ve got it we’ve already got somebody at the club I believe and I I I’m not going to I’m not going to say the they are rning contracts but i’ I’ve been led to believe so this is allegedly um is Ryan Taylor not in a position where he is a an ambassador for the club I think they’ve got a few ambassadors haven’t they but I mean Ryan Taylor under that he is seen in and around the club and I mean for example at sundland away at the FA Cup Ryan was walked through the crowd and you know I I know Noby was Noby Solano was paid to go along to be a do you know how he got on the ground no you went w the wall oh right I’ll I’ll tell you kid but yeah listen it’s it’s a thought if if he is getting paid if he is getting paid to being an ambassador for the club May’s Ryan Taylor could do it he’s a player he’s an ex player he’s a mam Slayer if you like um sha is The Lone Ranger he could be the he could be the man who fronts people up and gives you he seems to be the go when they need to fill in on something when Wilson for the the online thing and he did some somewhere else as well last minute and then you know the he seems to be the one that that is on standby to fill in for anything and anybody at any team yes you’ll turn up you’ll turn up in America or you’ll turn up in Dubai or in Saudi Arabia when there’s a a meet and greet certainly you know that’s what I mean yeah I mean I don’t know I I I mean listen he’s not going to be doing it for free I presume he’s on a contract I presume he’s doing something you know I would allege that that is the case however you know if he is in that position maybe that’s it’s just a thought it’s just a thought I’m sure you’re all having a little chat away in the chat about it um you know it’s not our decision it’s something we’re thrown out there but um you know the communication um is the key and amandra and me a dad ser got that and that understood that and it’s something that we reiterated to them time and time again before the club was bought communication is the thing that’s let us down for years um and there are growing concerns amongst the fan base that the communication isn’t very good at this moment in time with certain people and we’ve been through this with Wembley tickets we’ve been through it with membership we’ve been through it with ticket offers stuff there was a horrendous post and I’m I’m going to have to read it and look at it before I decide whether I’m going to use it or yet but you can see it on on one of the Facebook pages that we are on our Facebook group somebody’s someone having a battle with the club about a ticket now you know it’s not our job to fight other people’s battles but it’s not the first time I have seen somebody take to social media in a play for help with regards to an issue which by all and purposes should be sorted out by support our services you know and when you go back to somebody and say have the you know this is who you need to contact and they go we have done this and we’re not getting anywhere it’s a nightmare go MIT it’s not a new thing though this is something that has not been changed in my opinion or addressed in anyway shap my home go back to the days of when biffer nail started.com yeah go back when me and Steve were involved in setting up NC and then turning into n and now if you look at d c and JW NC now that we have all in our time helped people sort problems out with tickets that should have been the bloody job of the ticket office and because somebody couldn’t be bothered wouldn’t be bothered didn’t give us stuff or didn’t know inside the club idiot like us spend time in our spare time helping good people out who have got themselves painted into a corner with something I mean me dad I spoke about it on here recently the response me dad got from the ticket office well can’t your son s of well your son did but it would have been nice of you to see well actually maybe Z should be sort out but I’ll help you here and I can do this for you because that wouldn’t have been rocket science and so sorry sorry Dad no I’m just gonna say well I’m gonna have a call with you shortly about a ticket office phone call I’ve had today and somebody somebody somebody watches this program as is all I’ll say um because uh um yeah I’m not going to say it out loud on here because it wouldn’t be fair but uh um the evidence to me is that somebody watches this program very closely and I think uh today um I I got the backwash of some of that I think you we’ll find out I don’t see it too much more George I don’t want to incriminate all the show so we’ll wait and see how that develops interesting stuff we’ve got 20 minutes left on the show and uh it wouldn’t be afraid of n without Jo demands Rita delivers Steve look alike for her first one this is Rita’s main on and Bruce Springsteen I can see that yeah not bad not bad at all and dids and Albert stepto from R this week as well um there’s been some there’s been some rather strange ones that’s Steve Hasty one wasn’t it um this one from Andrew uh came on tweet of the week but I thought it was a great look Alik tell jabber I’ve got his money says Rory Stewart but he does look like Han Solo so Andrew who was expecting to see that in tweet of the week I think that’s a more deserving look alike so well done mate that’s a good one Mana mag thank you for this Jordan pford and Manoa having a quick break before the final obviously and another Star Wars themed one Billy Joel playing harmonica looks like a dying anakan Skywalker always first good look Alik H Tom Dixon thanks as always flamini and Gillan H yeah see it and another one from Tom Alec Baldwin who was in the news for all the wrong reasons and uh Edward lordon escu yeah yeah yeah not a bad one uh ignazi and kich K yeah yeah and this one was sent it was I think it was on our WhatsApp group but it it fits the look like Reis Matt Lucas arrested I mean it it could be anybody it could be B Buster blood vessel it could be anybody but yeah mat Lucas I’ll go with that another Hy look like the small lad looks like St that’s funny that I like I at that Steve I almost admit and this one Jack G and David Spade from Su another Jordan pford won this week separated at both cheers Gary thanks for all your stuff and this one was from stew pen and he said is this Ben Jacobs one on the left um it’s definitely answer that one just because he never took a bit um top four top three salon and a Peppa a green pepper very good and number two this week Aron V at Wimbledon I can see that actually the more you look the more you see it it does look like it yeah it does look like V but the winner this week German policeman and Gareth Southgate um if you haven’t seen it we’re stuck it on our shorts on YouTube you’ll be able to see it now it’s had a a few thousand views that one tonight but um he got he got renditioned at the the match outside and uh on on the national news news at lunchtime absolutely brilliant that great stuff if you’ve got a look like get yourself on the Facebook group or the Facebook page uh join the group like the page or contact me on X at Steve R and we will endeavor to show you look at ladies next week okay last 15 minutes left talk England uh we are in the final Steve uh what a win that was in the semis the first half to be honest um was um the best I think England have played the second half um tactically tactically Holland came out and changed things that’s what that’s what changed the game so you know I think South Gate got a right he took tripier off he brought sha on who he’s confident enough in to play 45 minutes and we tightened things up and then he ruled the dice in the in the in the dying Embers of the game and once again it proved to be the right decision and much much has happened in in the group games he’s he’s he’s just eased his way into the final we know that it was a an easier side of the draw but who cares we’re in a final and we’re in my first Final on foreign soil Gareth South gear deserves a lot of a lot of credit for that absolutely and and we can’t we can’t sit there really and and say oh we got the easier side of the draw because the side of the draw we got was based on how other countries did or didn’t perform so we only got what we you know we just followed the path because we won the won the uh we won our our group just because other people didn’t win the group just because other people finished third that type of thing you know ER Club countries that they thought would finish second finished thought they finished first finished second and you know it just spun out that way that that was that was literally down to the look of the draw that’s the way I look at that part of it um the game itself last on on Wednesday night um you’re right I mean a g Lally that was a game or two that was a game of of England playing on the front foot England with a with a Midfield uh partnership that seemed to be playing five six yards further forward exactly where we want them to play I thought bhum had a quiet game in comparison to foden who was all over um I thought that um I thought that Kan had a quiet game by his um the the way that we know that he can perform but I thought that he’s he’s been like that throughout the tournament so far so it was no surprise when he was substituted um we all question Southgate substitutions don’t we when we have done from the from the very start when he brought Anthony Gordon on for two minutes and then Anthony Gordon disappeared into his uh into his his little little corner of the The Dugout never to be seen again um I did ask you guys whether I thought that he was actually an AI generated H bod rather than anything else was he actually really there had he been sent home after after game one um the very fact that he’s just never been used again um just amazes me quite honestly um there’s been plenty of opportunities where we where South Gate a bit like AOW in some respects weits and waits and weits sometimes to make his his substitutions I’ve been a a Critic of how in that respect um on a number of occasions last season and the season before back end of the season he started to get it right he started to make the substitutions at at a time when they could make a difference um did we turn around and say that that were they were inspired substitutions um I think it was more they were the required substitutions rather than inspired um and you play it the whistle and I thought that of all the England goals we’ve seen of late um in various comp competitions that ranks with one of the best the move the movement um the speed the agility to be able to take the ball on one foot and then just hit that ball back across the goalkeeper um I thought was was tremendous I especially from a player who’d come off the bench and had hadn’t been seen again since the first game um well done absolutely brilliant I mean sent the Rockets forward um I think the whole country there must have been like a mini earthquake um you know you could you could feel it here um it was it was just absolutely brilliant to think we’ve now got into a into a final or first Final in an overseas country um a great achievement um despite the performances because I think I don’t think England have played within themselves because he’s wanted them to I think that we’ve we’ve ridden well look um I think South gets ridden his luck I don’t think he went out with a game plan that we would get through this this Championship building up to the to a final in the manner that we’ve the way we’ve played if he’s hard then I would question an awful lot more about them than then I’m actually going to do I actually have um but can not because of the fact he’s got the final uh it’s going to be a fascinating game uh they’ve got some greaters I like Ruiz in the midfield for for the Spanish obviously rodri who’s who will just hold the whole thing together and a player that I’ve mentioned to you guys on a number of occasions Danny almore who um I think would be a fantastic acquisition for for us um if and when he becomes available and the only other thing I’m going to say is that how Lads how does a team with karella in get to the final I got me baffled I was going to ask I was going to ask you what the odds you thought would be Jo what what would the they’ given us for the odds on if if we didn’t know his nationality that karella would play in in a final because quite frankly that block is all over the place yet there he is in a European final it fascinates me but that’s football isn’t it that’s football and just goes to show that if you if you’ve got the right Personnel who are play in the right formation it doesn’t really matter uh what what we’ve had get throughout us is that he’s tried to hit so many square pegs and so many round holes and that’s really really meant probably why we’ve struggled but we’ve got there and that’s that’s all that matters I suppose r on the final and I kind of believe it but I’ve got to go to work on Sunday Sunday night I’m gonna miss the final I’m gonna have to listen on the radio it’s going to be it’s going to be like like the old days listen to a listen to a final on the radio rather than watch on TV um he be different I suppose yeah 100% okay Mitch thoughts on this final and and and the fact that we’re in it look that’s all the history books will ever recount if if we go on and win it nobody will ever talk about oh played [ __ ] against them and didn’t do too well against that that’s tournament football uh that’s the nature of it and we we have got B again game on game generally I thought there was things about way we controlled the game yesterday haven’t gone down to a superb strike early on I don’t think that’s had all any of the prayers that was really due because of the end the result in the end um yes he was kind of backed into a corner with a substitutions but so what he he made the right changes watkins’s goal was superb that’s what he’s been doing all season and that’s why we’ve been crying out for him to be in in the in the team the movement with him when he came on made such a difference um Spain are going have gone with really a lot of Youth and talent um but we actually have got players with I would s just a bit more big game experience and and I think we’ve got to go in with the same mindset that we did to the semi-final um yes being have looked good but once you’re in the final it’s anybody’s game it’s it’s a two horse race um there there’s nothing for a dead heat in this one either you know um so you for all and I’ve certainly been critical of South Gate along the way um were there and we’ve got a more than a punch us chance come Sund Joe I’ll come to you next M thoughts on the game coming up and and how on Earth we’re here in the final yeah it’s a bit difficult for me Steve because I’m not going to sit here and you know profess to be England’s biggest fan you know the qualified don’t particularly float me but I don’t watch any of the friendlies they do nothing for me um I was looking forward to the tournament a because there was some football on the Telly but um be going into it when you’ve got a forward line of Harry Kane Jude Bellingham Phil for and sacka you you know you you you Anthony Gordon heaven forbid um you’re expecting big big things and and and we didn’t quite do it but as Neil said I’m kind of getting to the point now we’re going so what you know however we got there we’re in the final and one of the things I was thinking was if this was Newcastle United I’d be cartwheeling all over the screen now um you know so what you know we we we won on penalties against Northampton town on a Tuesday night in the rain to get to the FA Cup Final I don’t care um so I don’t want to be overly you know hypocritical has he got it right throughout no a summer you know not having a left back uh hasn’t done him any favors and as you know I don’t want black of my tinted glasses on when I talk about Kieran tripier he has stood out like a bit of a a saw thumb out there and and has stopped the majority of the attacks you know going going on the outside down the left uh did gallager work uh arguably you know not did um did Trent Alexander Arnold work absolutely not you know but when when it’s come to it he he he has done the right thing In fairness and Ollie Watkins is a prime example I fall out of me dad all the time about I really rate OE Watkins I think he’s a tremendous Center forward um and I wish he was in black and white um you know but so you know bringing Tony on when he did in the last game um Kobe Manu and giving him the freedom the kind of play he was brave enough to take the back four out and replace it with the back three five depending on which way you look at it so he has responded he he’s doing the right things I just wish with some of the flare footballers that we’ve got I mean I I I absolutely adore Phil foron um and it was quite nice in the semi-final just to see Phil foron doing some Phil foron things he he looked a bit Freer he was turning with the football he was picking the passes out couple of shots on goal um so yeah I I vowed I wouldn’t get carried away but come come Sunday afternoon I’ll start to get carried away and and like I said earlier in in in you know those brief prices that I gave let’s not forget France France had France had some chances in that in in their semi-final um France could have scored you you know should had things been slightly different so will we get a chance will he go for it no he’s not going to go flying at them because he just won’t um but have we got footballers to win football matches absolutely it’s the final of the euros and I just hope in many ways don’t forget uh you know when we played Italy at Wembley um we’ve also got a bit of a score to settle as well and maybe that’ll be in in the players’s mind in terms of this time you know we will get it over the line so um why not why not and and my big worry is one of the things I was thinking is what does this then do for Southgate because he was all but gone after this tournament and it was going to be what the next kind of um you know chapter look like for for whoever the next England manager is going to be if he gets it they’re talking about Bloody KN hoods and statues and stands at Wembley and God knows what you know the the Gareth Southgate bar and all this that and the other God forbid but fair play to him if he wins the Euros he’s done more than anybody else has ever done so we can’t knock him for that can we um so good luck England um you know um hopefully we’ll win it’ll be great for the country great for the economy you know exactly the Boost that the country needs I guess at the moment um so yeah bring it on yeah and rumors if the board does open that he’s going to have um one of his England shirts of course from uh from his Game hung up in a frame um in in the bar and uh maybe these lucky puns as well which have clearly got him to the the final um George just your views on how on Earth England got to this final well uh you you’ve all said it um more by good look than good management I’ve got to say in fact of anything the manager tried to put out of it all together the way he he selected and the way he didn’t select and uh and the way he gambled I mean uh we we as saw a statistic the other night about uh long ball passes in Pigford for example has twice as many long ball clearances passes than any other player in the tournament twice as many so that says you something about how will be playing from the back um where goalkeepers got got the longest passes um no it it just desperate at times the semifinal was better because he he did what I’d been dying to say and he did it people keep saying oh foron and Bellingham can’t playing the same team what trait they’re good footballers man they’re playing any bloody team you know they’re playing a Sund League team never mind never main England team and still do well and he give foron the freedom to do what he does for Manchester City and with a little bit a look the lad would have had a hat trick before half time I mean that’s how good he was that’s how outstanding he was in the first half what chins in the second half is that the Dutch manager um stuck two people on them and stopped them playing and that stopped us playing to some degree um and he stuck by Kan when all all the statistics you look at he spent more time in our penalty area than he did in the opposition penalty area and that that’s how I Center forward really when you could see when OE Watkins came on the Defenders were running for cover when h p young Palmer came on the the six minutes that Anthony Gordon got he made three three passes in those six minutes they’re better than any of the others had done in the whole 85 minutes beforehand and yet where’s he sitting he’s sitting in the corner of The Dugout no and I can’t see Southgate changing for the final either um although I have to see I’ve had a bit of a nightmare with the final uh thinking about it because I walk up with a with a start in the middle of the night Spain three England nil hatrick oh my God what a freight that give us so yeah we’ve got nothing to lose to having a goal and yes being have got a great young crop of young players but I would argue we’ve got a cop of better young players because somebody said it a lot of our young players have got huge big game experience how many European Cup finals is foron playing in you know doesn’t Bellingham play in a cup final every week for for bloody Real Madrid you know just won just won the Champions League yeah absolutely and so you know if you’re talking about experience of big games we’ve got them and we’ve got the talent but he he won’t he won’t put the shackles off and have a go what I dread is that we do what we did against Italy get an early goal and sit back and allow them to do the score two where we’re sitting coun count where money that never comes I mean it it’s just a nightmare yes he’ll get the credit for it and and he would deserve it as manager but I’ve got to say more by good look than good management as far as I’m concerned this team’s got the experience of f of getting to this final though um all be it on Home soil so you know and losing a final can some things motivate you to go on go on and win a final well absolutely and why not um you know it should but I I I you know I hesitate to go too far because you’re worry about what the manager think thought so no I I I think it’s a great opportunity for for England to uh to put put things right in the euros and uh um serve up some good football that first 30 minutes in the semi-final was some of the best football in any game not just that game in any game in tournament let’s have some more of that but for two halfes please let’s have a prediction then George Well I got two on right last night so um I’m going going to go for 2-1 again this time 2-1 England Jo yeah uh 2-nil England 2-nil England Mitch England win on penalties and Steve I’m gonna go England three spin two and I’m going to say that what the outcome will be is that rat Cliffe will say you know what let’s go back for Garett Southgate and he’ll yes yes please yes please I’m going to go again for another 1-1 um in normal time England Go 21 up in extra time and win it so I’m going to go 2-1 and extra time so yeah England win H let’s hope um let’s hope we’re race let’s hope it is coming home we’re going to finish off with Elliot [Music] why does Melton John eat lettuce because he’s a Rocket [Applause] Man fantastic Elliot love it son have a good weekend everybody go on Steve something I just I was just gonna say it what we what we’ none of us have mentioned is that we win this and then the next Euros come around and it’s back on hold soil again and we go in as reain and champions that would be that would be be something else wouldn’t it you know that that would be quite a thing and then you’d say would Southgate still be there I wonder you know what football’s about it is lots of food for thought have a good weekend everybody H hope you enjoyed the show Welcome Back Jo great to have you back amongst us and yeah yeah yeah yeah great input as always thanks to George thanks to Mitch thanks to Steve but thanks to you for watching we’ll be back live next Friday take care everybody cheers everyone hey everybody [Music] [Applause]

  1. Do you think if the club leaves things as they are on the goalkeeping front we are leaving ourselves vulnerable if Pope gets injured.

  2. Don't see how a guy unable to get into the Forest team helps in any way, unless our scouts have seen something that we haven't. Strange one for me.

  3. Do you think the 'emotional attachment' could have been an issue for PIF? (Amanda and Merhdad) maybe they want more ruthless people in

  4. Face of Newcastle. Sounds like one hell if a pressured role lads! Who'd want it?
I dont think it's a CEO role either

  5. Bloody hell has someone died? The “thinking fan” as you called some and most of the others knew that Amanda and Mehrdad being joint owners was never sustainable. Why is everyone weeping and wailing, they will leave the club wealthier than when they started with the absolute love, thanks and best wishes from the whole fan base. As for who now does what, we have a full well paid board to get on with the job and if they get it wrong then PIF will act. I don’t care who is who in the Zoo, I just want an exciting winning team on the pitch HWTL!

  6. Can I ask George if he still sticks by what he said that the people who were at fault for the last minute of selling players “should be sacked “Even if it turns out to be Amanda and her husband?

  7. Without trust there’s nothing they were the fans guys, Eales is mealy mouthed terrified of the chairman easily picked up from the few videos I really hope he stands up

  8. they leave with our blessings with their heads held high they have done good for us im not so sure about darren eales with tonali and the psr rules debacle C plus for him who will be the voice of the club now going forward everybody has been on mute except for amanda and meirdad

  9. The Panel including S Hasty have talked about the club having to be ruthless, well you got what you wanted. PIF know how to Run 1 of the worlds wealthiest countries and many many many profitable businesses. So my advice is : DONT PANIC, DONT PANIC,
    DONT PANIC!

  10. Darren Eales: I'm as passionate about the club as anyone, but, what does Darren Eales do? I've maybe heard anything interesting from him twice. Wor George, love your stories

  11. Mitch came up with a beautiful quote – “some fans are impatient and entitled…….but I’ve never seen us win anything in my life……” – god if you can’t be impatient after 60 years of crap then Or be frustrated then I’m missing the point. We’ve made multiple millionaires and been let down over decades. So it’s ludicrous to suggest impatience

  12. The face and voice of our club now Amanda has gone has to be Eddie, just like KK was. As long as they communicate with us between themselves and are honest I'll be happy.
