we are in Scotland and it feels like it today much different than yesterday when the Sun was shining and it was warm it’s chilly today and chance of showers throughout the day here at the Renaissance Club along the fth of fourth for the sixth straight year hosting this event so it’s a gray chilly day here in Scotland as the weekend play is underway at the 42nd edition of The Genesis Scottish open 6566 first two days for mroy yeah well done another good look here at the opener La Pace really didn’t it it’s almost like he was trying to wish he had the right Line This is at the fourth hole Robert McIntyre he was a runner up in this Championship last year just a little wedge from 115 yards had a great ball striking day yesterday coming off a birdie at the third hole so looking like two in a row for him if he can get that one to go Hoy guard for birdie at one oh wow he pered his first three holes yesterday and starts like that all right here at the fifth Robert McIntyre birdi three birdi four drove the green at the Par Four here this for Eagle oh he got it what a run how about that Frank tied for the lead well now the co-leader McIntyre at the sixth the little par three only 155 to a back hall location man another great opportunity for birdie boy he is on fire right now third at the par five third for mroy six under in the par five so far this [Applause] week how to play that any better as mroy has this to get it to 10 under another birdie On a par five for Rory Adam Scott only a shot back here t- shot at six he’s got it rolling as well he’s birdied three out of his last four and an excellent t- shot for him those two players beating off each other right now McIntyre and Scott we saw Adam Scott hit it in here close at six so another birdie try for him to get a share of that lead and does with ease so he’s four under three first six as well those two guys putting it together early theala at the second hole good drive only 192 yards left and that is more like it so theala only been one man from Scotland to win this event Colin Montgomery back in 1999 they’ve waited a long time oh again unlucky not to get the bounce that whole location tucked over that bunker and another good swing out of him he’s going to have another good look just missing there at the 14th some right to left in this good look from right behind oh play quite a bit and knew it well done I can start waving now first of many today I think got a feeling in Scotland this man’s red hot though this for birdie got to go in that stroke is so smooth isn’t it got the pace Sun JM his third shot here after a good par at the first oh that flag stick in helped him there his cap there it’s tucked in behind a bunker 169 yds to the hole on a good line and does get on top there’s a little Ridge in front of that ho location so that is on top where he’s going to have a a good chance back to the gallop just off for eagle yeah that’s a huge three there second shot from 280 yards into the power five 155 see how the distance control is good line and it’s good distance control right at [Applause] it just like that right in the heart so back to back for Rory Mack Roy the defending champ back with Fleetwood here at his 17th hole hole location down in the bowl on the left he’s hit every Green in regulation and just does carry that pot bunker in the front and getting better and better so great chance to go back to- back birdies at 1617 Tommy tied for the best round on the course at six under this the fourth for Rosner at the Third oh why not he has got the beer minimum every hole that he started on it’s been a crazy start even though it’s just one birdie and a little wed shot for him as well yeah there you go good distance control for both of those players they’re going to have good chances to make birdie [Applause] and is get to the top it sure does boy that is really well done coming out of the rough to get that distance control right he parred this 10th hole the first two days he has that for birdie but and he did hit it hard enough another birdie for Bobby McIntyre yeah they came out to cheer him on and they have all kinds of reason to cheer today this is at 6 SI theala birdie not frighteningly fast if anything the last bit is uphill just drops the club on it he plays quickly plays quickly and seemingly without effort buried for centuries perhaps Rosner second he on a spectacular line that’s more like it stay up top that for birdie for Rosner with a beautiful angle shelf guarding this back right hole loation he’s got to be looking right at it way up in the air TR oh it’s a beauty condition so calm right now now look at that flag barely moving that one back that he missed at 13 yeah well read much firmer stroke there for Colin trying to get his first win since 2020 the genes Genesis Invitational in Riviera for par oh man fact it’s his second bogey of the week at the finishing hole 63 McIntyre leads it by one SJ taking his time as he does with his swing he’s a flag Hunter though and another one there at the PA three trying to make his way to Royal Montreal come on Rory finished it off late last year 7 on finchy punch ball look with the hle is cut in the left side of the green Keep It Coming you got to draw it in here get it into that little area use the ridge that’s what he was trying to do watch this feed down to the hole pretty similar to last year
