And subscribe with the Paris Olympics quickly approaching we are going to take a look at the course and a few of the top golfers that will be participating the course will be leg off National which was designed in 1991 and host the French Open each year leg off National was also the host to the Ryder Cup in 2018 the lross course has 18 holes and is reported to span 7,000 yards and boasts that it is the toughest test of golf in the Paris region how do you qualifying there would be 60 men and 60 women that will compete in golf at the Paris Olympics the host country automatically gets two participants one for the men and one for the women the other participants are chosen from the top 15 of the official World Golf Ranking then after that the two top players from each country based on the Olympic Golf Ranking with a cab of four per country of the countries being represented the United States is the only country bringing four golfers to participate now here’s a little about the top 10 ranked golfers that will be competing at number 10 is Tom Fleetwood represent presenting Great Britain 33-year-old Tom Fleetwood is a member of the European tour and the PGA Euro Pro Tour Fleetwood turned professional in 2010 and has won eight International championships including the 2011 Kazakhstan open 2018 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship the 2022 nedbank golf Challenge and the 2024 Dubai Invitational fatwood has also been on national teams for the Rider cup 2020 Olympic Games Walker cup and more number nine is Hadi Matsuyama representing Japan 32-year-old hiiki Matsuyama is a member of the PGA Tour Matsuyama attended college at tohoku fukushi University located in cindai Japan at which he won the 2010 Asian amateur Championship matami turned professional in 2013 and has nine PJ wins and eight International wins under his belt including the 2016 Japan Open golf championship the 2017 World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational and the 2021 Masters tournament making him the first Japanese golfer to win The Masters number eight is John Ram representing Spain 29-year-old John Ram is a member of the European tour and livv golf he ATT attended college at Arizona State University where he won 11 college golf tournaments making him the second to do so in school history only behind Phil Mickelson with 16 Collegiate wins ROM turned professional in 2016 and has racked up 11 PGA tournament wins and eight International wins including the 2019 Dubai dutyfree Irish open 2020 BMW Championship 2021 US Open and was part of the 2018 2020 and 2023 Ridder cup national teams at number seven is Colin morawa representing United States 27-year-old Colin morawa is a member of the PGA Tour morawa went to college at University of California Berkley where he won the Pack 12 Conference Championship morawa turned professional in 2019 and he currently has six PGA wins and one International win including the 2019 Barracuda Championship 2020 PGA Championship and the 20121 Open Championship number six is Victor hland representing Norway 26-year-old Victor hland is a member of PGA and European tour havland attended college at Oklahoma State University and won the US amateur making him the first Norwegian player to win he turned professional in 2019 19 and currently has six PGA tournament wins and two International wins including the 2021 BMW International open and the 2023 TOUR Championship number five is wendam Clark representing the United States 30-year-old wendham Clark is a member of the PGA tournament he attended college at Oklahoma State University and University of Oregon turning professional in 2017 he currently has has three PGA tournament wins including the 2023 US Open and the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach proam number four is LV abber representing Sweden 24-year-old LV ABG is a member of the PGA and European tour he attended college at Texas Tech University during his amateur career he won several Awards including the Swedish teen tour of Merit and broke the scoring record at the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship a BG began his professional career in 2023 at the RBC Canadian open he currently has two professional wins one was the 2023 RSM classic and the other was Omega European Masters played in cranes Montana Switzerland ranked number three is Xander chafel representing United States 30-year-old Xander chafel is a member of the PGA Tour he attended College at California University in Long Beach for one year and the remainder at San Diego State University chafel won several Awards on the amateur circuit and turned professional in 2015 but joined the PGA in 2017 since turning professional Xander has accured eight PGA Tour wins and one international win including the 2017 TOUR Championship 2018 World Golf Championship 2022 Travelers Championship 202 24 PGA Championship and most notably Xander won gold at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo coming in at the number two ranking is Rory mroy representing Ireland 35-year-old Rory mroy is a member of the European tour and the PGA Tour he’s currently ranked number two but was previously number one for about two years maroy signed a letter of intent to play golf with Tennessee State University but after winning the west of Ireland Championship he decided to forego college and continue playing amateur golf Rory started his professional career in 2007 and has 26 PGA Tour wins and 10 International championships including the 2011 US Open the 2012 and 2014 PGA championships two douche Banks championships the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the RBC Canadian open coming in at the number one ranking is Scotty Sheffer representing the United States 28-year-old Scotty Sheffer plays on the PGA tour and has been ranked number one on the official World Golf Ranking for two years Sheffer played Collegiate golf at the University of Texas from 2014 to 2018 as of today Sheffer has 12 PGA Tour wins having six of those in 2024 Sheffer has won two masters champ championships in 2022 and 2024 two Arnold Palmer invitationals in 2022 and 2024 two WM Phoenix opens in 2023 and 2024 and two players championships in 2022 and 2023 becoming the first golfer to do so in backtack years Sheffer was also named the PGA Player of the Year in 2022 he is clearly having a great year on the course this year but will that continue many of these players have faced off in several competitions as they are members of some of the same golfing tour clubs there have been some close calls over the years and we expect that each of these players would love to have the Olympic
