Who made the cut at the Genesis Scottish Open? Our Seen & Heard team certainly didn’t, but stars like Ludvig Aberg and Collin Morikawa climbed to the top of the leaderboard on this beautiful day in Scotland.

that feel it hit the face of my club twice [Music] there’s no way there’s no way you can be as good a captain as you need to be and and and be a playing Captain as well Keegan is 19th he’s the 19th rank player in the world so you know he’s got more he’s got great chance of um of making the team and then if he does then I think he’s just going to have to give that captaincy role to to one of his vice captains if the leader of the tournament blew his drive or his his approach shot into here might literally like to hit from here than one of those probably preferable like this is actually probably preferable James story time it’s the 18th green right here and uh exactly two years ago I’m caddying in this tournament for a uh pretty famous golfer named Joel Damon you may have seen him on the Netflix show young whipper snapper wind is howling into our face we’re playing the 18th Last all the day I think we’re like I think we’re four over for the day at that point which is not where you want to be we’re in the good way leaves his approach shot short right and it was at that moment when we both realized that I had not been keeping track of uh the score for Mo korin Joel grabs like rips the scorecard out of my hand starts like memorizing every single shot that he had seen Mo hit that day in 30 seconds he goes par on three Birdie on four par on five bogy on six like just ding ding ding ding ding ding ding it was like the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen and uh Inc then Stuffs the scorecard back in his pocket rushes through his own shot chips it through the green chips it short two putts for double Bogey and we shoot six over and then we had to laugh about it somehow yeah hard to believe he didn’t invite you back next year morning good morning Sean how are you cut day cut day not many people are above par no no everyone’s below par easy conditions yesterday even easier today there’s no wind it’s sunny of course will be right for the taking which honestly at that point it’s okay let them be tough next week that’s a major this is the Scottish open Rory’s absolutely about to shoot 65 today so like there I have the Sun is going to rise in the east out in the west and Rory is shooting 65 on [Music] Friday James on uh Fridays they make the cut line which means like this thing’s only halfway over with which means we have to pay attention to the nitty-gritty kind of nonsensical golf before the the important stuff happens and for me it was more CWA playing left-handed it’s one thing to see a left-handed Club sitting there and picking it up and Swinging it for grins but you just said you actually ordered one so there was some actual thought that went into this yeah I was just more like you know we all say we’re going to do certain things and we never actually do it and uh everyone always talks about you know how much we swing one way I me literally we all swing right-handed or whatever way you swing and um I was like you know if I spend 5 minutes a day when I’m at home swinging left-handed like can’t hurt um so I’m not trying to like be the best at it I’m just trying to make contact and seen some decent ones you know I’m not awful I’m I’m bad what have you learned about what it takes to do that uh it’s just like it’s complete motor skills that like it’s just the complete opposite of what you think of you know for me like it comes so natural to hit right-handed obviously and when you switch the other way you have like I have no idea where the club face is I don’t know what kind of Swing I’m trying to produce honestly I don’t think I bow it um at all which is like really weird so I don’t know if I should or shouldn’t um but it’s just it’s just nice to get the body of the way did it help on the shot I mean maybe 5% as a lefty I appreciate that as someone who’s also frequently ignored advice to uh do things for five minutes a day to improve my overall life I also appreciate that and never even thought to say oh I’m just going to screw around for 5 minutes a day and swing left-handed did you say you bought it no no no not buying I got enough guys um something else I appreciated was uh what we just heard from LV oberg who is our leader today 12 under at least with a halfway point well done it’s not often that that players can go super low one day and then follow it up by doing exactly the same thing to Happ uh yeah no it’s I mean anytime you shoot 64 it’s a good day and obviously these last two days has been great um feel like we’ve been uh driving the ball and putting in position so we can be uh aggressive and and make good swings on the ludvig is playing in his first Open Championship next month which is something I feel like we’ve said a lot this year cuz it really has been a year full of first for him uh notably he’s playing at the site of the last Swedish uh major championship Victory Henrik Stenson I mean I vividly remember watching Henrik win um I’ve said it many times I think it should be a national holiday in Sweden um so it was a cool if you were to do it would it become a national holiday um maybe was it’s in the same day that would definitely be a national holiday I mean I don’t know I think the fascinating thing about about L Vegas like he’s he is is always careful to avoid sounding too compelling and then he has these little moments where the guard breaks down and you see the guy that he actually is and today it was he was being asked about his his high school golf team which like apparently had some fans out carrying the flag uh today in the stands like I don’t know all those all those very little small things uh you start to see underneath the underneath the hood a little bit of the guy that seems completely unflappable and unavoidable uh he actually is a human being one Colonel at a time under the hood viig thank you next week comes around the corner we’ll be ready for that but um the schedule is so good that we we got to play here this week and then uh use next week as well so um really looking forward to it but I’m also looking forward to tomorrow okay let’s start with 10 yep you want you know talking about maybe trying to get to the mountains um in the new year and trying to get Poppy on a set of skis and I don’t think I’ll get on a set of skis but all right I’ll let you get I’m a Scottish person think that’s pretty the Scottish open is the one that I y all right up on the right is a turn at this turn it’s a turn we’re going to make on Saturday when we go to play golf at the old course cuz we got a tea time for you boys get out of here are you serious 250 p.m. Saturday afternoon we’re playing the old course go are you happy 2:50 p.m. perfect that’s Prime Time yep what’s the forecast look like doesn’t matter James we’re playing anyways
