Driving Contest with a PGA Tour Pro!

We had a competition with one of the Top PGA Tour players off the tee: Patrick Fishburn to see which clubs he could outdrive Matty with.

[Music] all right guys we’re here at Ogden country club with Patrick Fishburn and we’re going to do a little competition um Patrick’s a Big Driver of the golf ball your top 20 on tour for strokes gain off the tea which basically means he’s one the best in the world um so what we’re going to do is I’m going to hit a drive and then we’re going to see what club it takes Patrick to out drive me so Patrick tell us a little bit about how far you hit the ball maybe here in Utah and sea level yeah I think it’s CA level it’s it’s usually you know a good full ones around 315 or 320 and then here in Utah the ball obviously goes a little bit farther and kind of add 10% of that so it’s you know 340 350 in the air and a little further than me I’m just I’m just trying to keep her on the property out of the trees hopefully hit a few Fairways yes so so I’ll hit a drive and then we’ll probably have Patrick start with an iron and see kind of go up from there and see where he can out drive me and then we’ll probably have you hit a normal drive too just so we can see that let’s do it perfect I like it all right here I go I’m going to try to get one out there I really don’t want Patrick to beat me with a five iron so I need to need to hit a good one jeez oh dud knocked on the green [Music] 350 down gosh that was smoked he might have to go to his two iron to I don’t feel very very well about that uh I got a four iron here Maddy just crushed one out there so this doesn’t have much of a chance but I’ll I’ll give it a I’ll give it a rip see what happens that was good go go 282 282 on the forhead okay 284 okay so do you want to try to go with the 4 iron you think you can get another what was your 300 do jeez big dog all right let me try let me try two iron this is the xiron it’s like a two iron one of my favorite clubs all right here it comes that should probably do it Go how’s that look probably still short I’m a big dog over here he said 298 I don’t think I can hit my driver past yours I don’t know yeah it’s may be a failed [Music] experiment okay here he comes it’s coming at you little left gave a little extra can you tell if that one be mine it didn’t get much of a hop which is concerning Rob said I think I I think I went down look at Rob moving out there he hasn’t moved that fast for a long time 31 well we had Rob down there the official Spotter and two iron he hit his two iron 301 and I was 300 on the dot so so let’s see if you hit your two iron as far as I hit my driver that means you still got a couple Woods in between driver got a lot more gas in the tank so let’s let’s heavy hit driver okay I like it oh that’s the one oh boy that one is going right at the green so the official distance coming in coming in 347 oh he said it hit soft oh come on Rob oh man 347 are so are you are you usually like how did that swing compare to when you’re playing in a Tour event I usually when I’m playing turent I kind of the most I’ll go is about 85 90% maybe one swing around R full I like that was probably 85 around that I mean I can swing a little bit quicker yeah but you lose a little accuracy I yeah a little bit yeah just kind of kind of depends the situation need a little extra man 350 that’d be nice to have that thing all right Patrick well your two iron equals my driver it’s pretty crazy hey you smoked that thing I’m just like I got the driver by it I know all right guys well thanks for watching n [Music] [Applause]
