okay everybody let’s welcome the captain of fireballs GC and our local Hometown hero Sergio Garcia Sergio amazing day you’re currently sitting at T4 you shot two under only nine people shot par or better today so tell us about your round and how you did it well first thing I’m going to say is that uh whoever thinks that there’s no uh there’s no level up here there’s no competition they better they better check it out because uh for eight guys or nine guys to shoot uh to shoot on the par here today on these conditions on this golf course I mean I thought 200 would probably be around the lead and I’m three shots behind so um it’s it’s pretty impressive so what did you have to do out there today to to get that score a lot of good things uh obviously I um you know I hit the ball really good uh I hit it I hit it very very well but even like that in these conditions with the greens as firm as they are and and how tricky it is with the gting Wind and everything I probably hit I don’t know I’m going to say I missed probably um I probably missed about eight greens and probably six of them I missed them hitting good shots uh hitting the shot that I wanted to hit but uh it was just uh it was just difficult to to get it to get it exactly right but um I was able to to get up and down a few times uh obviously got fortune on seven with my um with my chip in and um you know it was uh it was a solid day overall yeah and can you just give me your quick thoughts on being here in balorama the crowds being home in Spain and just kind of What feelings that brings up for you today yeah it’s amazing obviously to to be back to be back at home in Spain and on my favorite golf course it’s uh you know it’s a dream come true for me um you know hopefully we can be here for many many years uh that that would be amazing but you never know uh but um yeah I uh I obviously I obviously love it here uh not only because of the golf course but the the crowds the um you know the the family the friends that come and and watch so um you know it’s um it’s fun Ser Joe you’ve had so many rounds on this course where does today rank in terms of difficulty uh well I told I was I was talking to John a lot and and uh and I said to him early on I think it was like on the second or third hle I said I said you can definitely see the teeth of balderama today I said not probably the whole mouth but you can definitely see it he was like you don’t think this is the whole mouth I said no I played it tougher than this so um it’s uh yeah it was it was up there uh it was it was solid but uh um I probably would say that the the other win as hard as this is probably a tougher win to play the the golf course um so and how much did your experience play A Part uh in your round today were there times when you drw up on previous rounds previous shots yeah definitely it obviously it obviously helps when when you played a course a lot and you’ve you’ve done well in it it obviously helps it doesn’t mean that it’s a DN deal but uh but for sure it helps and uh and it definitely helped today you know I was able to uh I was able to hit some some shots that uh you know I could recollect from from past uh rounds here uh but you know like I said earlier on these conditions when it’s gusting so much you still uh you still have to be very precise with everything you do and and I was able to do that for for most of the day last question have you ever had a whole L where it just spun multiple times in the cup no uh no it’s it’s funny because like I was saying earlier you know I hit a great Drive the wind is supposed to be helping off the ride and I hit a beautiful uh 52 degree that is supposed to at least fly a whole High obviously the wind switched flew short and then spawn back you know 30 yards short of the green so so from them from there you you have a very tough shot you know you can try to kind of Bounce It Off The Green a couple of times and hopefully checks and stuff and that’s what I tried to do it bounced a little harder but I could see it from down there spinning on the hole and it looked like it spawn at least six or seven times so it was uh it was funny but I’m I’m glad it did it obviously it would have gone probably um you know seven or eight yards by so um you know I was uh I was very pleased to see that happen any other questions in English before we switch to Spanish no okay Elana can take over
