July 3rd the middle of the summer uh in the gap between summer league and the end of the regular season Celtics are still Champions I haven’t said that in a while so it feels good to get it off the chest again how you doing oh yes uh I’m doing I’m doing good we have some stuff to talk about we’re going to have an EXC show regardless talking about whatever we decide to talk about today but the Celtics still have a roster spot to fill Kimbell Walker retired and then we have some NBA news going around the league talking about some extensions some contracts some rumors Lakers love the rat list retired from the game of basketball he went on Carmelo Anthony’s podcast uh to announce it um explain that like Carmelo was one of his favorite players growing up all this stuff said he wanted to announce it somewhere uh with a player or person he respected went on Melo show said he was retiring um yeah shout out Kemba man fun few years as a Celtics obviously injuries took over over um they didn’t get as far as they necessarily wanted to but uh Kemba was just like it was hard to dislike Kemba Kemba was just a cool guy love playing basketball fun to watch really people dislike K when you’re I don’t dislike Kemba I love Kemba but um when you were talking about it kind of introducing it I was gonna mention I was like isn’t it kind of funny that like looking back on it Kemba I think is a really good Celtic like I respect that he chose to came come here and everything but there was like the contingent of Celtics fans that was just like why the [ __ ] is this guy smiling they’re losing and like they would get all [ __ ] mad at him and [ __ ] yeah but I don’t I don’t count those people as actual fans those are [ __ ] losers I I I hate people like that they can go [ __ ] themselves but overall big fan of kembo um glad he got to go and play in lovely Monaco last year uh if you haven’t seen Monaco just Google it it’s fantastic place for him to be living playing some ball in the Euro league ultimately his best years were past him he had that knee injury when he was a part of the Celtics and never quite recovered I saw a lot of people talking about him on Twitter yesterday saying good things sharing clips and you know just remembering his time with the Celtics so that’s always good little reminder about Kemba he’s the reason why Al Horford’s here they were able to trade Kemba for Al Horford so true the cat shout out Kemba shout out to Kemba because still like shows up at games once in a while too show up and support the boys he hasn’t been in a long time but he well he’s playing in Italy yeah but or France whichever country Monaco’s in is Monaco its own country uh I think so work travel it’s its own country yeah you know I didn’t know that uh Costa Rica was not an island really yeah I thought it was an island turns out it’s in fact on main Central America land yeah it’s just like very it’s like in the skinny part of Central America so it kind of looks like an island but it’s just attached to the middle of other things welcome to July I think I thought it was an island for a while too I can’t blame you there no no no hate there um yeah K retires um favorite K memory I was just gonna ask you the same thing but I wanted to think of one before I ask you the question I’m trying to think of one right now oh no I put you on the spot you did I don’t know um favorite CA memory uh him getting ejected by or not who I forget who the ref was um that was funny I don’t know should we watch kembo Walker Celtics highlights quick yeah pull up some Celtics highlights uh I I remember like the first time that we got like a super cool Kemba highlight was oddly enough like the same game where Tatum made a big three and gave Pierce a high five on the sidelines Kemba hit that mean just instant stop move on Giannis and Giannis like kept going for another five feet and Kema made the mid-range in the fourth quarter we got a lot of fun Kemba highlights he was an All-Star starter like don’t forget like that half a season that he wasn’t hurt unbelievable start to his Celtics tenure all right I have I have options best of 2019 20 season best of 2021 season best of 2020 playoffs or I have the top 30 plays of kemba’s career and I can skip through to the Celtics ones just do the 201920 all right let’s do that that was probably his best I’m thinking I know I wanted I wanted like his entire saltic tenure but that evidently was not an option for me um you don’t want you don’t want that second year yeah well it would have it would have given anything yeah shout out Kemba um he was so good in the first half of that 201920 season like like he also just starts his highlight reel with a little bit of uh Trey young stop the car magic very very dishonorable but yeah man Kimo was so fun to watch in that first year he was so good he was genuinely the best player on that Celtics team for that first half year um and then his knees fell off fell apart yeah he was the final guy that was like the supposed to be the guy that wasn’t Jason Tatum yes this half seon was the last time that we had like oh yeah this guy’s GNA carry the team shout out Rob shut now the playoffs roll around for the bubble and you get Jason Tatum becoming Jason Tatum in front of everybody’s face but kembo was unbelievable when he was with the Celtics and he was a ton of fun to watch like he gave you Isaiah Thomas type layups dribble drives like he had to play the same style of ball because he’s six feet tall but he really had a good relationship with the team like everybody seemed to like him and even yesterday after he retired you had a bunch of guys that were team to his on the Celtics come out and be like congratulations even Joe did one and I guess Joe was part of the coaching oh yeah I guess I was like what yeah that makes sense all right let me see his top plays because that’s just going game by game I want to let me let me scroll through here all right here’s a good one I want to see the real highlights yeah he had to get I oh no that was a nasty Euro Step people forget I forget how small like he is listed at like 61 maybe 6’2 he is not 6 foot there is no way this man is six feet tall I do not believe that poor guy when’s the next Celtics one I see green and I know I’m set yeah be against the Celtics this is nasty yeah K you how hard that is to whip it like that K was also the last Celtics attempt at non-defensive point guard which clearly that idea needed to end but uh this is the play they figured it out eventually yeah the Yukon that’s a crazy move he crossed him without even dribbling it’s the Kemba special Yukon step back not going to move my foot but I’m still going to cross your ass up see you later oh my god dude he’s so quick it it’s he’s he is one of the most fun like quick guards to watch like I forget how good like Prime km was he dropped 60 against the Sixers he had a big game against Celtics too in Charlotte I’ll never forget that was pissed shout out Kea dude all right I’m going to watch this one then I’m going to scroll through and play ever is Celtic this was the Jaylen Brown game that’s crazy finish I think this was probably no this was a buzzer beater what’s his best play as a Celtic what do they deem his best play as a Celtic let me see you have any clutch shots as a Celtic they deem this it’s his 10th best play of his career but this is technically his best play of Celtic against the Clippers damn he did just send him back in that a big shot too this is double overtime you you got to give Kemba Credit he really unfucked The Vibes here like he did coming into that season you just experienced like the most miserable Celtics season you’ve probably ever seen as a disappointments the chop oh no uh yeah 2019 sucked CA comes in immediately would have been nice that had he come in sooner and Al realized oh I don’t have to leave I can stick around um but CA came in everyone seemed chill at that point uh locker room Vibes were up Kima smile on his face at all times even if some of you [ __ ] decided to hate on him for it which I think is the lamest [ __ ] um yeah shout out Kemba always fun welcome back hello I feel a bustard speaking of always fun yes laging um anyways uh next thing some potential Celtics final I’ll put Final in parenthesis roster spot um idea Celtics technically do they have two roster spots left technically or just one is I don’t know I think they had 13 and then they reigned Tillman okay so yeah so it’s O just o just O’Shea and S are not on the roster currently but Taylor shyan needs a spot there’s one left okay not easy yeah no so one spot left which if I had to guess they’re not going to fill to save money on the T um Griffin which is fine but if they do decide to fill it uh we can go over some potential options realistic options uh to fill the final roster spot um any ideas that pop in your mind Sam well the obvious one that we had to kick around was Ty for a while and there were some Rumblings that it might be T but then it wasn’t Ty and um they brought back Tillman they brought back Luke cornet it doesn’t and they brought back Mimi there’s no more room there’s no more room for centers when you look at the Celtics roster it does feel like the team is very well-rounded right now you’ve got a tremendous starting back court with holiday and white then you have Pritchard backing them up in Springer as the Deep rotation guy who still think there’s something in there then you’ve got the wings so Tatum Brown Hower potentially shyan maybe you bring in another guy behind Hower to to eat that O’Shea role but I don’t know who it would be just yet and then you’ve got plenty of big guys so I think we we land in the wing category this year as funny as it sounds with Tatum and brown being your best players and you know really not worrying about filling minutes because at least one of those guys should always be on the floor and they are going to play 35 Plus minutes in every single game so you don’t necessarily need the extra body but you don’t really know what shyan’s gonna be yet so I mean the South’s no better than we do I suppose but it wouldn’t hurt to bring in some extra depth there so let me pull up spot track and take a look while you take a swing at yeah I feel like if I had to pinpoint yeah this is probably what they want I’d go guard wi um I feel like you’re okay on bigs right now I don’t think it would be worthwhile to sign another one like maybe you’d rather do that but I know Drew holiday has been durable but he’s getting older so maybe you want to rest him a little bit get him ready for the playoffs maybe you want to sit him a couple games and if that’s the case Pritcher Derek white and then shyan I guess you have Springer too but I feel like another yeah Walsh too I feel like you could do with another guard Wing maybe you want to do a big I feel like you could really go in any direction with this final roster spot honestly L could just bring s Rocha back would be like either one would build the void fine and play role and they know what the deal is so either of those could be fine ideas if you want to get fun Justin holiday bring the brother on so you know have a little connection there that would be everybody potential addition yep and he was actually really good for them last year too like I’m pretty sure he played like legitimate playoff minutes um and was good in his playoff minutes for the Nuggets last year especially in the um the wolf series yeah he played in 12 playoff games and shot 38% from three like he he played decent minutes for them uh Chris stunn has already signed somewhere he’s gone unfortunately that would have been fun idea if you the fan of the local guys um Jack M thoughts no no h probably one get it if he doesn’t get too much money we’ll want to go somewhere he can play because he I mean I mean we’re talking about a guy average like 12 13 points a game last year I don’t think he’s gonna come here and say yeah I’m good with not playing at all he did take a minimum last year to play for Milwaukee just just for money perspective but I agree with you I think playing time matters to these people too so yeah he a be shocked he played in 79 games last year played 30 minutes a game averaged 11 points and only 27 years old he’s I don’t think he’s going to sign for a minimum contract to play no minutes like I I just don’t think that’s where he’s at we could revisit the should the Celtics resign Patrick Beverly Arc if we’d like I was I was Jack Pat Bev is out there Pat Bev is a free agent I like that a lot um Dario sarich is a really good player again like Malik play well for the Warriors last year yeah feels like he shouldn’t be signing for a minimum at this point um he’s only 30 played really well for the Warriors last year he’s a guy that you could sign to come in and and actually probably give you spot minutes while chis stops is out but it almost feels like they’d rather give tman and ker that run to help them grow so maybe not um what else is out there thanasis is a free agent get him we’re we’re won’t he didn’t say it this way obviously players that won’t [ __ ] The Vibes up and I’m not saying Lonnie water Walker would [ __ ] The Vibes up but he is 25 years old just played 17 minutes a game for the Nets clearly believes in himself and thinks he should be earning more minutes uh not going to get minutes on the Celtics team does not seem a good vibes Edition what P oh not pism James Johnson James John sure fine nobody will [ __ ] with you if he’s there he’s just gonna go back to Indiana but I wouldn’t hate it that would be Fire Imagine him and Joe talking about martial arts maybe maybe there’s a string of former Celtics here obviously Isaiah like I said gavon green Marcus Morris also on here uh would love javante green big fan javante is a good one it feel could happen like Derek white got paid nice goes and does a little bit of work at the camp comes back wait what team’s being sold he’s like all these kids like high school talented kids are there and like Tatum just talk about this next and we can we can talk about that idea and just who is going to buy the team I haven’t had the chance like I have no idea how to even start looking about stuff like this like what do you want me to like bro my search bar let me let me give you a little dive richest people in United States richest people in Massachusetts like how else am I supposed to look for potential owners I think the first thing you do is say richest guy I know and then you eliminate them yeah so then you can move on to richest person from your state you can eliminate them so essentially you need the rich guy Avengers to come together and all want to buy Wick share an article from um axios.com by Dan prac kind of like detailed some of this stuff and we don’t have to go into all of it but it was just like mapping out possibilities in terms of local people but he wrote the most likely scenarios that pegs tries to Cobble together a group that includes some combination of a new deep pocket a private Equity Fund and a sovereign wealth fund all things that I don’t know all that much about except for those Deep Pockets not my money so it seems like there’s going to be a Pags push whether or not it actually results in him just kind of taking on that extra share is another question but I mean people keep being like what if John Henry and you just hope that Wick is like I see what you’re they bring in Klo they sign all these players on value contracts for what it’s worth and they develop and then all of a sudden he’s kind of cheaping out the people over there are sick of you don’t want that guy anywhere near the Celtics you just don’t the Celtics are a team that has been treated with Love by the ownership ever since they took over you don’t need just a vampire coming in to ruin it for you you don’t um Robert croft’s worth 11 billion maybe pag says Hey help me out what do we think of Robert Craft as a person or as a sports owner I mean both I guess because like like even what we’ll do like ownership with translucent boundaries where he had like the whole collapse of this or I don’t want to call it a collapse the end of the Patriots winning Dynasty right where Brady leaves and then the bellich thing goes for years and then bellich che’s finally out and then craft makes this documentary ripping bellich like I I think craft is willing to win but even then like they won because oddly enough we talked about this in the last show Brady took pay cuts and craft was a cheap ass and you always always hear about these people saying how like Bray never really had the most talented receivers to throw to and like the Patriots didn’t necessarily want to pay people so that’s something to keep in mind even though they’ve had great success maybe maybe craft isn’t the guy for the Celtics uh my headphones disconnected so I missed the lot portion of what you said there uh uh BR pay cut led to Great Patriot sucess and craft didn’t want to pay people yeah craft probably not the best I was just thinking of uh what’s it called yeah I know what you’re thinking of Rich guys in Massachusetts um oh maybe yeah no I just no no no I’m talking in terms of what I searched to come to that conclusion um Tom Brady people now people are saying kg and this has some historic tracking where he tried to buy Minnesota and then the whole deal kind of fell apart he was pissed off because of it I don’t think kg alone is going to be able to buy up that share but if he’s able to put the rich guy Avengers yeah does not have enough he’s net worth is 130 million um I think using as a a guide Alex Rodriguez who just is part out part owners or supposed to be part owners his net worth is listed on Google as 5 40 million 300 350 350 million so keep that as context like few hundred milli million kg is like 140 million Tom Brady 512 million and all these numbers could be very wrong but I’m talking in terms of like at least gives you a guideline of like which who could potentially you know get in uh on the action uh yeah like David artiz 55 million probably not gonna get in on that action um but I don’t know it’s tough uh looking at like the richest guys in general Michael Bloomberg is from Boston but he just like partially bought the Tipper wolves like he got it on that action so like Bloomberg wasn’t on that he was like the New York mayor for years we’re talking about the same thing about the same guy I I don’t know I don’t know anything uh about this yeah he was a mayor of New York but he episode of Seinfeld could be wrong he did get in on the Timberwolves has agreed to team up with A-Rod and Mark Lord in their bid to buy the timber wolves yes um it’s It’s just tough CU maybe you want like athletes maybe you want kg to get it on it with Pags and other people and pull together money maybe you want a really rich guy like Steve balber to say yeah [ __ ] it spend do whatever you want the oil boys I don’t want the oil boys you don’t want the oil boy you a lot of teams around the league would kill to start there like a lot of teams around the league would kill to have that yeah as their starting point two young guys a guy Jared Allen who’s probably around 27 28 and Donovan Mitchell who’s around the same age like this is not a bad starting point like if you fill out that roster the correct way you could be legitimately like top four seed in the East for a long time if you fill things out correctly like this is a good basketball team I don’t understand the whole like hater on the Cs they’re a good team yeah so hand up my bad uh going in the playoffs I was like yes I want the S to play the Cavs because uh there there’s no team that has roll over and die written all over it quite like them with the Mitchell exit looming and How’s that prioritized extending pool for four years than 140 million and young Swingman Andrew Wiggins four years 109 million over Thompson and green the summer after they wanted Championship which didn’t sit well with either two veterans um yeah draym his PO almost went to the Grizzlies last summer which would have been funny uh as you mentioned on the sheet yeah that did feel like kind of a a bet on the future and it probably would have panned out if p and Wiggins ended up being better than they are uh Celtics kind of [ __ ] Celtics kind of ruined the Warriors in a way did they a right about way yeah I mean oh like meaning they they G too much confidence if those two didn’t overperform in the finals maybe the Warriors would still be intacted got your title but at what cost hope that doesn’t have to the Celtics um yeah I mean I get it you spend x amount of years like a decade with the franchise and then they say yeah sorry we’re actually going to prioritize this like that is kind of shitty you do probably don’t feel great about it um and now we see clay in a Mavs uniform and and draymond’s still there but yeah uh things have fallen apart a little bit I will say then we’ll get into it later we have done a good job of responding to the clay uh departure with they’re trying they’re trying to make the most of that like missing caps slot they’re trying to actually bring in players to give them some depth which could work out especially if pods takes this step this year sorry but yeah it it’s just kind of funny they slighted the oh there go Sam whenever Sam gets to talk he freezes Chad that it had not even the money not talking about the money money the money is a factor but they gave him that payday and then Draymond and Clay become Tim Robinson from the court scene where he’s sitting there like what the hell and they’re both upset by it enough where Draymond punches p in the face and gets the whole 2022 2023 season off to a rocky start then they kind of underperform lose in the second round to the Lakers and then clay turns down a two-year $48 million contract because he feels slighted even though that’s more money Peres and then he got with Dallas which always kind of like makes me be like well I kind of get that he felt like he was kind of owed by The Warriors having won four titles there but I don’t know you can’t really be mad and then take less money anyways you have that part of it I think that’s the reason to take less money because you’re mad and you don’t want to be with the organization that was well they’re mad because he’s mad because he wasn’t going to make as much money so then he went and made less money I don’t think he was mad about the money as much as he was mad about the yes it was about the money but it was about the fact that after all that he did in the uniform they were willing to not give him like to prioritize other people over I understand that angle too so I I don’t think it’s like just the raw money so like money money’s not going to fix the problem at that point because the problem went deeper than that goes back to our nobody takes a pay cut conversation from the other day but um yes I I agree like it’s it’s ridiculous on all things when people don’t do it and then they do it for another team it’s [ __ ] stupid anyways pool contract not only is it bad financially it ruins some of the c space it ruins the team chemistry but then they get rid of him because he became such a problem and they could they showed a to Draymond after he punched p in the face but before they didn’t want to show a commitment and then they get [ __ ] dick back for p they lose him for nothing they bring Chris Paul and then they lose Chris Paul for nothing and then they lose Klay Thompson for what two seconds yeah two seconds awful yeah can you imagine if that happened here yeah it’s it’s tough because it’s all hindsight like at the time that pool Contra was great he’s a young player just played phenomenally in the postseason and in the playoffs and the previous regular season he looked like he was going to be a guy who could help take them into the next area of Warriors basketball like they looked set up for sustained success in Golden State at the time and then it obviously didn’t work out and and you know personalities got in the way the way people acted got in the way Andrew Wiggins dealt with off the court stuff and just clearly was never the same after he came back etc etc like it’s tough but it happened and now they’re kind of cooked like now they’re at all yeah effectively like I still think the Warriors will be a good team next year um especially because the development of some of the young players who are really really good still and feel like fit the culture a little bit better than the pool of the world um but on top of that and we can talk about this next uh the Warriors are doing stuff still they signed Anthony Melton they’re looking to trade for Buddy heel and they signed Kyle anthers to a three-year contract like that’s a really really good way to make up for the loss of Klay Thompson which I’ve seen some people say like oh this is better than Klay Thompson it’s not better than Klay Thompson Klay Thompson had one bad game to end the season but like like let’s stop acting like he didn’t have a fine regular season last year like he’s not the player he once was but if the player he once was was an all NBA third team player then he’s still like a high level starter like I I think the narratives have gone a bit too far with Klay Thompson um but the Warriors have a good team like if you think of it this way like their starting lineup is going to be something along the lines of let me let me double check here because I can’t think of um it be Steph pods kaminga I don’t know Lo’s back no uh he is back he’s under contract he’s back okay so Looney probably start but they also have Trace Jackson Davis play really well and then they’ll have Melton Anderson and maybe heeld in the bench rotation that’s not bad it’s pretty good but pretty everybody’s like we’re almost back last to last year when like the draft happened and some of these guys at the top were really hyped and it was like well how B who how bad are the Blazers really yes yeah you know I I I do think the Warriors will probably be a play inish team again maybe fight for that six seed like they’re not going to be amazing but I don’t I don’t think they’re going to be bad um and I think pods is really good I think kuminga is gonna take another oh oh like really big step like kuminga is you [ __ ] like you feel like the Warriors have one of the biggest windows in the NBA in terms of like how ceiling to floor uh maybe I don’t think they’ll be any higher than like the five seed in the west so I don’t think it’s almost still be impressive yeah no it would be great but how impressive would it be because like you still have Steph Curry like like you still have one of the top five to 10 players in the NBA on your team now I’m starting to like enjoy like thinking about this I’m like wow you’re right like they really are like blending the two erors together this can be like almost not the same effect of Horford being the guy and Tatum Brown and all them grow up and help him out but could be like Kinga had a really good season last year after a lot of controversy in 23 pods on one of the all rookie teams also really good even Trace Jackson Davis like he had a really good game against the Celtics really good that’s how I measure Everybody by the way really good game against Celtics they’ve got really good players man they’ll be fine for a long time um just curious how good they can be in these final step careers and Buddy heeld if the sign and trade goes through if they figure that out that’ll help and the Kyle and Anderson and the Anthony Melton deals well also help so we’ll see um LeBron James has resigned with the Los Angeles Lakers um apparently he took a 1 million dollar pay cut I don’t really know what the point of this is maybe help the tax a little bit Keith says I tried to lay it out yeah Keith Smith’s is this are these quotes from Keith or did he write this Keith Keith tweeted this okay Keith tweeted this about LeBron the quote take 1 million less gesture by LeBron James is fine it sounds nice and it could make things easier that is literally .5% the second apron that is threading the needle in a really tricky way and if you leave yourself with almost no wiggle moving forward that’s how tight the margins are by giving up 1 million if it were 10 that’d be something but that was already offer and apparently didn’t move the needle much better path is to salary d a contract or two in these uh or three into a team’s cap space are exceptions that would free up real flexibility to make uh I assume to make other moves um also Brony James got a four-year deal via the second round exception and they hired Scott Brooks and N McMillan good hires for the stuff um yeah wasn’t going to take a pay cut unless they could get like a significant like player which probably means they’re not going to get DeMar rosen because he was listening to somebody maybe but the initial guys they mentioned were valent junis weird um Klay Thompson and James Harden didn’t get any of those guys LeBron takes a one million I don’t know what the point of the 1 million pay cut is maybe just make tax a little easier maybe they have like may maybe it’s like he takes a million pay cut here and then they already think they’re going to release this guy and this guy so that’ll like create enough like in tandem it’s LeBron LeBron laid out his kill list to to pinka was like guys G but um Lakers haven’t really done much in free agency which is interesting to see it’s a real shame yeah we’ll see what happens here I don’t know it it is interesting because obviously they didn’t have a ton of like wiggle room with their cap space and stuff but they really didn’t do anything like they they really haven’t done much um and it’s a franchise built on taking other team’s players so good luck to him with the way the league works now where no players really are entering free agency they are all opting to sign these supermax extensions and there’s just not going to be as much for them to take from they’re gonna have to give up assets to get them and bled them dry I was going to say I will say they do have wiggle room to make trades because they have contracts to send out in trades so they should be fine in that DLo Ru haimura Reeves if they want to make a swing like they’ve got guys that can match salary and they’ll be all right but they do and he’s really good player but I mean if they could like my my point is like if you can trade Rees for Lori Markin maybe do it like like there there are trades out there that maybe you consider trading them for um but yeah of these Pacific Division teams Warriors all in on marketing could have been got but I thought Jake fiser put it out that like they were really interested in pursuing him yeah yeah I I mean it makes sense he’s a damn good player and a cheap contract that they can afford to trade for so catch and shoot guy too yeah I’d be in what would the trade be though Wiggins and picks probably Wiggins and picks yeah I guess it makes sense [Music] um yeah Wiggins picks heads back to Orlando Orlando signed everybody yesterday um Harris resigns on a two-year $15 million deal all three of those very tradable contracts I think also something to note um moving forward for the magic multiple years tradeable contracts Aaron holiday signs with the Rockets SK we got that already I think um Garrett Temple signs a oneyear minimum deal with the Raptors hell yes Raptors great um it really has been an uneventful couple of days here besides like the Celtics there hasn’t been a whole lot of interesting stuff D rozan still out there people are kind of like pointing at Miami as the destination for him you have minimum guys Damen Lee resigns with the Suns James wisman signs a two-year contract with the Pacers U Mo bomba signs a one-year minimum with the Clippers Luke canard’s a free agent too Malik Beasley there’s some solid free agents left out there Caleb Martin money’s drying up like I think I saw something about uh Canard that he’s hoping to stay in yeah rat list is sprinklers rat list is FIFA not FIFA in particular you’ve played pro clubs yeah yes fun love love pro clubs pro clubs are fun except for when everybody you play with just calls for the ball yep and especially when you don’t really like talk to these people all that often like so there was discussion in our group chat of like hey we should all play pro clubs I was like sure and then this one guy’s like yeah I’m gonna invite these other guys that I’ll play with sometimes it’s like ah that kind of defeats the purpose for me pro clubs is like you you should want to know almost you want to play with your friends like that’s the whole point of video games you’re not really like I think we’re past the stage of life where it’s like just get as many people as possible to join the Xbox party dep it depends on the game like if example valerant you want a full team of five you get your friends friend fill the five sure yeah sure fair but like it was like me Frank couple others and we were like yeah we’ll all play In fairness like couple of the others didn’t end up showing but it was like ah like I I and then Frank’s game so Frank downloaded the Xbox One version of FIFA so he couldn’t join the club that’s the most Frank thing I’ve heard in a l so then Frank downloads the Xbox X version of FIFA and in the meantime like I couldn’t like this we found out Frank didn’t have the right version of the game before we started playing yes yes yes so I was like [ __ ] I said I was gonna play now I have to play I’ve done that before with two and I would have been like oh no like I don’t want to play but I was like I have to play so Frank finally downloads the game I’ve played like three games I’m frustrated I’m like all right well fine I wait around we’ll all play together Frank is not able to play the game because he installed it to his external hard drive he just which I don’t understand what the point of an external hard drive is anymore if you can’t play the game on there like what are you storing on the hard drive that makes it worth having the extra space why didn’t he why didn’t he just delete other games and make space on the Xbox I don’t know if he knew he needed to or it told him that he needed to but not even like why need to versus not need to that’s just so much easier than using an external High Drive no well no because then you don’t have to delete stuff how do you back in back in the day you could get the extra like terabyte and you would just have more storage I guess but like how many games you playing on the Xbox that you don’t have enough room to download a new one that’s true that is true yeah I haven’t thought about it like that in a while but anyways it was a very not fun night of Xbox for me I got in bed and I was just like the [ __ ] did I just do for two hours could like watched so this is an anti-rat list but I need I need a platform to fully explain this feeling because I don’t know how else so golf right was golf this a golf thing but it it’s like it’s a translatable feeling to other aspects of life I just need to figure out how to do that so I went golfing with Ryan and before golf so my biggest issue with golf on drives is I slice it which is like basically I I’m a righty and so I’ll hit it and it’ll start going slate then it’ll just Veer off way to the right like it’ll just slice you know what much no I opposite of pull the ball I don’t hook it it doesn’t go left it it slices off my club yes um and it goes way right because it like slides off my club and so as I am uh like the days leading up to it I’m on Instagram scrolling through as you do whatever and this this man pops up on my feet uh and it’s this and it goes this is how you fix it and he hits it he’s like Club head directly in the ball and he’s like I’m like H interesting what does this look like and I’m like oh my God that’s what my shots does is he going to teach me how to fix it right and then he goes yeah you’re supposed to bring it down first right you’re supposed to bring the wrist down instead of going right onto the ball you come down and around it and through it and then as you can see here on the screen he goes through hits it pretty damn good right you’re like okay I see and so obviously I step up first t- shot I’m like okay I’m going to try it no shot doesn’t work right try it again next time I get my driver out no shot doesn’t work and then I’m like all right I forget about it and then something else pops up and it’s like oh I remember it yeah I should try that again 16th hole again out of 18 holes so like third to last hole I get up there I’m like all right let me try to move the wrist again boom boom boom straight I’m like oh but what like it was like I I turned to R and go Ryan I did the thing I did the thing the Asian golf Guy taught me on Instagram I’m like it’s the guy I did the thing the guy I did the thing the guy and it was just like like and in the moment I could like feel what I did differently like I I could I understood what I did like I I felt it and I’m like oh my God I like I felt the difference between that and my normal drive again now got to 17 and tried to do it again could not do it however the moment on 16 when I figured out how to do it was like one of the most like like I was high I was like oh my [ __ ] god holy [ __ ] top top moment of your life it’s all downhill it was up there yeah well because then the next shot I hit out of bounds which wasn’t wasn’t as fun um you should have never played golf that that’s why you play though this is what we play for that feeling need it if we’re in Vegas I’ll go to the D I’ll go to the driving range okay that I like I I can’t do the how long it take you to play 18 holes we teed off at 1015 and we got back and we finished at like 3 I would rather kill myself it was phenomenal it a phenomenal with the fellas I I mean when you have good company I’m sure it’s fun but yeah it’s good it’s just a slow game man it’s it takes a while yeah it’s fun I like go that’s all I got you got anything else yeah rat list you know where it is Jack the bridge so New Bridge update apparently so backstory with the bridge in RH Island the Washington Bridge takes it branches off 95 which goes right through Providence and if you’re on the East Coast you’re familiar with 95 it takes 95 and you go out east towards where Jack lives and also towards the cape and also towards the East Bay of Rhode Island in southern Massachusetts so people that live over there that need to commute in or work on the other side of the bay have to take 195 the bridge that is a part of 195 all of a sudden out of nowhere needed like major repairs somebody didn’t do their job in inspecting it and they had to have this massive massive project like thrown together so that’s been going on for probably the last eight months about four months in they decided that they needed to to demolish it which we all knew was going to happen and they dragged their feet because they didn’t want everyone to think that they discovered that the bridge was so broken that it needed to be demolished but nobody knew about it so now for the last four months or so they have been working to demolish the bridge they haven’t demolished the bridge they’re working to demolish the bridge so this is still creating traffic every single day traffic that was not there before it bleeds over on the 95 and it makes my dve North [ __ ] pain in the ass now they cannot find anybody to rebuild the bridge once they demolish it there was all this talk about like the state being corrupt that they like were going to give it to like one of their friends or something like somebody they knew to take on the project so they would get a [ __ ] ton of money now all of a sudden they can’t [ __ ] get anybody to do it there is no end of this [ __ ] thing in sight I’m going to have to sit in traffic anytime I want to go through Providence now for probably the next two years it’s awful yeah it’s tough man the bridge bridge got cooked they [ __ ] us with this bridge I don’t know how this guy still has a job alvd the director of the Department of Transportation wonder when his contract’s up you can probably look up his salary and like everything it doesn’t matter when his contract’s up buddy you you fire him I bet that’d make you more mad though you know you know they fired him no government salaries are public like you can can definitely look up his salary no I’m sure he gets paid like six fig a high six figures to do nothing man people Peter alvid we used to do that in high school because teacher salaries are public so you can look it up uh no way that’s awful Teter Sally should not be public man that’s [ __ ] up they’re public you got kids [ __ ] fail in your class he’s [ __ ] telling you you don’t make [ __ ] how you going to tell me I don’t amount to anything you’re making like I don’t know 40 Grand a year to what’s his name Peter alvid how do you spell his last that’s awful the teachers a LV I TI let’s see he’s a RH Island state employee yes I’ll see if this pops up I didn’t know you could do this it’s yeah 2023 he made $168 million Al $168 million thousand sorry okay was like oh my gosh no it yeah it threw the the cents in there so I saw the extra decimals [ __ ] the sents why are we including the cents and things can we stop 18 cents really that’s included um yeah no absolutely not yeah pet Junior 68 168,000 yeah the highest paid state employee in Rhode Island um Dan Hurley second you want to guess number one Sam it’s your state you should probably know this right state employee yep it’s the governor no it can’t be the governor uh no it is it just their source is state of government or state of Rhode Island open government transparency so I don’t know even if this person actually does anything for you anymore what who is it Ryan Miller who’s Ryan Miller I don’t know who that is yeah I don’t know but yeah Daniel Hurley is the second highest paid state employee but this Miller guy is making 1.4 Milli Sam he’s must be doing something for you hope so is he coaching one of the teams
