Scotty sheffer’s dominance reaches New Heights Tom Kim battles valiantly TPC River Highlands gets blasted and our betting preview of the rocket mortgage classic coming up next on EMQ bets golf I hope nobody comes and throws gas grenades at us [Music] welcome to EMQ bets golf I’m Nikki Vegas here with BAC and Jimmy instincts he’s dropping the metrics after a week off from the show he’s feeling better he’s going back to his instincts love it um yeah I would say how you doing guys but it’s all about me today the Florida Panthers are your NHL champions for the first time I’m on Cloud9 over here but this is not a hockey show I just had to shout that out real quick um we had a ton of golf this past weekend lot of lot of important tournaments we had a signature event on the PGA tour The Travelers Championship Scotty Sheffer T took that down we’ll recap that in a moment we had three auxiliary tournaments as well we had uh the Liv Nashville tiell Hatton took that down I gave that out in the show happy happy to win that bet some good units good money um we had the LPGA PGA Championship is actually very entertaining I watched a decent amount of it um a beautiful golf course in Washington state over there Tough Golf Course narrow but uh Amy Yang came out on top to her veteran had never won a major many close calls so good for her she won had a little live bet I want on there too and then Brendan over on the DP tour absolutely heroic finish by Guido migotti to take down the Dutch open for his first win a couple years Bren why don’t you take us through the end of that because it was really cool yeah the the KLM uh the KLM open in uh in the Netherlands um don’t like their soccer team uh km open in the Netherlands what an incredible incredible Sunday uh just I mean I actually loved that Golf Course by the way if anyone watched it at all the golf course was sick um but yeah we had it down to the wire back and forth uh uh sorry I’m blank Dean and um yeah Joe Dean and Marcus kinhal yeah kinol uh Joe Dean Marcus kenholt it ends up um both get to uh what was it minus 18 no no no they got to minus uh minus 11 oh yeah minus I’m mixing up two tournaments sorry okay they get to minus 11 um m leardi is going on to the 16th hole he had just he had had the lead back and forth a lot of guys Rasmus hoard was there for a bit um but it gets down he gets to the 16th hole basically knows he needs two birdies to get into a playoff um with Dean and kinol Birdie’s 16 pars 17 18 beautiful drive gets it on the Green in two but he has like 78 feet uh that he needs to two putt for Birdie putts the 78 footer to eight and a half feet just long enough to be terrifying um and it’s kind of a downhill Turner uh and just drills it home for for me and Zach to well it was my bet on the show Mostly you mostly you props to me I gave out one guy in this tournament one guy Guido motzi and uh the Italian Stallion y ties it up enters a three-man playoff first uh first hole in the three-man playoff all three birdie 18 second hole in the three-man playoff he birdies it the other two par and he wins outright 35 to one for your boy uh and Zach was uh nice enough and kind enough to ride along in the actual betting so we both made quite a bit on that one yeah and uh to put it in perspective he’ been shaky all day he has to birdy two of his final three holes he gets the job done then he birdies both the playoff holes so he birdied four of his last five holes to take down this tournament he fully earned it it was an incredible win the coverage cut off because of how funky The Travelers Championship coverage was so we were following along props to you for finding it you found some random guy on Twitter who was updating every single shot so we watched the end of it through Twitter through some guys tweets and it was actually quite thrilling um so yeah great bet Brandon really nice to to see that one hit huge units 35 units on that one so lot of success there but our f it was brutal I just it was brutal because I sat there and watched the entire Sunday round like overnight Saturday Sunday round of this km open in Europe we get to the back nine and because the weird traveler schedule it just leaves and I’ve got you know this big bet chasing down the stretch all this excitement shout out to eat eatand sleep golf uh for giving us play byplay on Twitter uh or and yeah that was awesome we don’t call it X elon’s insane um own dead but yeah really fun there um our main focus obviously was on the signature event over in Connecticut at The Travelers championship in uh Cromwell Connecticut the TPC River Highlands we saw Scotty Sheffer I I said on on the preview on the intro his dominance reaches New Heights it truly has reached incredible Heights his sixth win of the Year all in all in huge events four signature event wins the Masters and the PLAYERS Championship six wins the only he’s the first player to win six events before July 1st on the PGA tour since Arnold Palmer in 1962 fun fact about that Arnold Palmer won the US Open uh won the British Open that year so uh is that a omen of what to come we’ll see but uh yeah no one’s hotter than Scotty Sheffer he’ll be taking the next couple weeks off um but yeah it was it was it you know it was an entertaining tournament it was nice to see a free-for-all a birdie binge after you know two we two weeks of really hard golf at the memorial and the and the US open at Pinehurst where the guys were really fighting for everything um it was an easy golf course you know the a the average player averaged 18 birdies per player over the four rounds that’s quite quite a lot of birdies in a in a four- day round of golf um you saw Scotty sheffler just do his thing just consistent all four rounds 65 64 65 64 and takes down Tom Kim in a playoff but there was certainly a lot of drama surrounding this um yeah Jim what were you feeling on the 18th hole when you saw the guys the the protesters run run on the course with gas grenades and the police t What was what did that do for you yeah I mean it’s just nonsense can we have good things why do they have to ruin everything you know they they go out and they they graffiti Stonehenge now they’re here nobody cares about what they have to say they’re ruining their own side just let us have nice things they throw the sticky soup on the paintings yeah they glue their hand to the highway I don’t know I I do think and it it it didn’t ruin the playoff but I don’t like that they had to move the hole and then Tom Kim is short in the bunker instead of using the same Club he used the first go around you mean I just it changes things in my mind they didn’t really have to move the hole in my opinion they just did I guess but they decided to but never seen them do that before for a playoff yeah we weren’t on the green so we don’t really know I mean there might have been some legitimate you know vuum it up pretty well though yeah I I don’t know what but but a lot of credit to Tom Kim who is sweating a you know a 10-footer up the hill to force a playoff and he has to deal with all that going on and he still sits there uh it focuses and drains the putt very impressive from Tom Kim I thought he played a great four days of golf he’s fully back lately these last couple weeks um is is there anybody happier to be playing golf in Tom Kim no he looks he looked just a joyful guy just a great guy just love to be walking around with with Scotty asking him questions all up and down the Fairway he was fantastic didn’t seem to feel one ounce of pressure like just he looked he was having a great time uh hit just shot after shot just he was fantastic that putt was clutch as hell just drains it that’s that’s sorry go ahead I think it helps that Scotty is his like good friend and he views Scotty as like his mentor and you could tell like in I think it’s a really good even if it’s not a strategy because they are friends I think it is a good strategy he was talking to Scotty and joking with him the entire round and I think it’s a good way to make yourself not intimidated by the guy by like you’re playing with your buddy I’m just out playing golf with my buddy uh and I will make one joke little fun aside um I don’t think I think the protesters storming the green and doing all that and the huge delay it caused uh didn’t cause one second of delay longer than Tom Kim’s putt would have taken anyways yeah he really does it look I I love the joke you made you said uh he stands over his putt just long enough to make you think he’ll never hit it yeah just long enough to make you think the TV froze right he said that on the broadcast a couple times like we didn’t this isn’t a replay yeah yeah he he just I I guess that’s just his process I I personally can’t do that but uh yeah he really does hover over the putt for a long long time I heard some people on the radio this week saying we need a shot clock and golf I completely disagree but it is gets borderline annoying I completely disagree but it does get a little frustrating yeah I think it just really depends if your round is still efficient then you’re fine if you’re doing twoo you know I I would rather just get rid of I don’t know if he’s sprinting to the ball like I don’t know it’s not taking any more time it’s just annoying to see a guy standing there for 15 seconds on TV I yeah but this is I mean this is golf this is Golf and we all know your process matters so I I don’t I’m not holding against anyone for taking their time really uh when it’s like can’t lay at the Masters last year with Brooks that was actually distracting that was actually egregious but most of the time it’s fine that’s much larger than like Tom Kim is at least when he’s up going up and hitting a shot he just has a slow routine like kley is like standing there talking to his caddy for like an hour is why you know yeah that part’s a little different even the Brian Harmon Club Waggles bother me more yeah yeah true but that that’s just his mental tick he can’t get rid of but yeah it’s get it um but yeah a couple things really stood out to me uh in this tournament first off it was great to see someone go punch for- punch with Sheffer and not blink down the stretch um we saw a ton of Veteran golfers Tony fow OE batia Colin morawa uh Xander shafley um to say Ox is a veteran is wrong but you get what I’m saying a lot of good golfers they were all right there at minus 19 minus 20 and all of them melted and the 22y old Tom Kim didn’t melt he stood there punch forp punch with Scotty and you know you just got beat you got beat by the greatest player going right now and the best player since Tiger Woods in my estimation uh with what he’s doing right now so there’s no shame in that loss at all it had to feel like he won like the way the way he didn’t crumble under the pressure the way he uh the way he played golf the entire day in that featured final group so lot of props to Tom Kim you just have to be a superum performance to beat sheffler right now and he couldn’t quite get it done but my takeaway is we watched all these guys who as Brendan put it uh in our chat um these guys are great golfers as soon as someone tells them you can win the tournament they all melt it happened to morawa it happened to shafley fow was cruising hit hits one of the worst shots I’ve ever seen a pro golfer hit in a clutch moment he hits a seven iron 40 yards short and right in the water it wasn’t even remotely close to the to to being a good shot it was a big choke but Tia didn’t really choke he just made a bunch of mistakes a little really take issue with Ba’s tournament no no he made a little a couple mistakes and just didn’t birdy the par fives in the final round but but you know we all had these great bets we gave out I gave out Klay fow and Shane Lowry none of them really turned it on the final round you had Colin Klay you had Xander schafle um Jim gave Jim gave out lud viig who didn’t really show up for the final round he was over par so kind of a disappointing end to the tournament for us on Sunday great tournament you know entertaining but for us it it was kind of annoying the way Scotty won though I mean he’s kind of like like a robotic like I’m gonna go shoot 22 not going to do anything special it’s a nice round but like if you can get to 23 you’re gonna beat me and just nobody had the mental for to do it that’s what he does Jim that’s just what Scotty sheffler does every single week he just posts his score and it’s you have to go beat him you can’t like yeah like like we talked about it the the two examples that stand out are Victor at the BMW he went out and took that tournament from Sheffer and then the and then the Tour Championship he went out and took that from Scotty sheffler Rory mroy two years ago at the Tour Championship down six Strokes on Sunday he went out and took it Sheffer didn’t play his best but Roy went out and took it and shot uh 6 under par you have to go take the tournament from Scotty Sheffer at this point and people just haven’t been able to do it it just feels like Scotty’s not competing with anybody he just says I’m going to go shoot minus5 every day and if that’s eighth place or first place that’s great and everybody else seems to be pressing yes but true you’ve got to think of a couple things he does when he’s forced to though look at the playoff he’s forced to and he he puts it a little further on off the te and then he sticks it to three feet from the Fairway once he’s forced to like he plays his game I’m not going to make any mistakes I’m gonna give myself all my opportunities but if you like so I don’t have to hit the aggressive shot ever um I’m just gonna go out and shoot my round but once you force him into that spot like even he forced Tom Kim to birdie like he played it really safe on the 18th the first time a great fight he has from off the grave he still almost made it yeah yeah that’s all I’m saying but but but listen like the Masters everyone had their little crumble moment tiny crumble moment in the final round on Sunday he just plotted along and did his thing the uh the memorial he still had to make that nasty break in five-footer down the hill to win um and here yeah it may look robotic it may but but he never never blinks didn’t look like he had an ounce of pressure on him there’s still something wildly impressive about obviously it’s for sure yeah it’s exception I love Scotty maybe more than everybody else but like I want somebody to go out and beat him I want to see him get taken down you know he’s he’s Goliath to me at this point no it’s 100% um he’s taking the next three weeks off so we got some free and free and clear uh betting slates coming up these next three weeks a little more freedom don’t have to worry about win withouts don’t have to worry about Sheffer looming over us the whole time so that’s nice also selfishly I know we’d like to see him go for that total wins record um in the modern golf era 11 I think it’s 11 wins is is right or is it nine it’s just nine okay yeah just nine um back the 40s and 30s Ben Hogan had like and uh Sam sne had like 15 win Seasons but we’re not really counting those so he did like win out to get to that number now yeah if he just wins four of his last five tournaments which you know is a lot but but for him two or three of them but if if he played if he played these three like he would win one at least he proba especially like this week like there’s nobody in the field yeah right um but yeah new kid and a lot of success he wants to take some time off makes a lot of sense so yeah but he’s having an absolutely uh singular season right now it’s absolutely incredible what he’s doing and the best part is they’re all gigantic tournaments too he’s not winning like he’s not he’s not winning like a a little throwaway tournament they’re all big pressure big broadcast huge exclusively he has only won yeah big tournaments he’s won the Players a bunch of Signature Events and the Masters yeah four Signature Events the Masters and the play yep you know what would be fun for a guy like him though at least from my perspective is like go around the world win the Italian Open win the Singapore open you know what I mean like just go be the best golfer in every country on the globe Rory does that a bit Rory and tiger tiger actually used to do that a lot too I don’t think it’s Scotty I don’t think Scotty’s interested in that kind of stuff I think he just wants to dominate the PGA Tour so which he is doing successfully uh any other takeaways from guys from this tournament before we move on um no uh no I we can bring up stuff when we talk about we’re talk about guys here do we think that this course being the shortest on the PGA tour and just just bleeding bleeding birdies to death do you think this course should be out of the rotation no who cares I think it was a nice uh um what’s the word I’m looking for like after how difficult the previous courses were like the the image repreve yeah sure yeah exactly reprieve let’s go get some scoring and remember what golf can be Memorial in the US Open I did see a really great take that I liked though that of like the seven or eight Signature Events that there are like four or five of them should be Signature Events every year but there should be a rotation of some of the other ones and I I’m down with that like I don’t necessarily think this one should be a signature event every year um so that I like easier like I want to I almost think it should be easier like you I want a tournament where you have to shoot 40 under to win like every hole is a driveable par par four exactly not on all week AES that would kind of be awesome actually yeah just like or just bring him to like a nice mun and have him play the middle te’s one week like that would be sick to watch to be honest I still want to see the all the guys play the the little par three course here I think they could what was the the under 36 we were guessing if you watch Bryson does that on YouTube his breaking 50 thing I love that he plays regular golf courses but from the front te’s and tries to break 50 it’s really cool well with another Pro they play they play best ball but it’s very cool yeah or they wait uh yeah they play best ball and try to break they get they have got to 50 and 51 a couple times but he’s never quite broken it him and Sergio did a 51 the other week so really Co it’s a cool little event and it’s insane to watch him to watch Bryson hit 370 every hole so yeah all right moving on this week to the rocket mortgage classic Terell Hatton say what Zack one Terell Hatton I did I mentioned it earlier I did okay Sor yeah but but t with a dominant performance in Nashville winning by six Strokes minus 19 you bet John ROM would finished second so we both were pretty sharp on it um still no win for ROM nope nope but he’s always top 10 constantly top Bry a lot of props to Bryson too for tying for second as well there um after uh the crazy absolutely nuts week he’s had he hasn’t he said he hadn’t slept more than two3 hours a day for the coming into that tournament he still goes out there and shoots a really good score and uh if you saw him at the live he was interacting with all the fans signing autographs high-f like Bryson deserves a ton of credit Bryson almost single-handedly re has revived Liv from the depths yes like like it was a popular tournament the crowds were huge people were watching on TV it was the most watched live event this year so a lot of credit to Bryson let’s move on though we got the rocket mortgage Classic this week uh this is at Detroit golf club in Detroit Michigan Detroit golf club was founded in 1899 but this tournament did not debut until 2019 this will only be the the uh the fifth play playing of this tournament this year um sorry the sixth playing of the tournament this year 7,370 yards par 72 hardly any water or out of bounds on this course it is wide open it really benefits hitting the ball far there’s not too much trouble you can get in Bentgrass and POA anua mix Fairways and greens Bluegrass Fescue rough exact same grass types as the tournament we just saw at TPC River Highlands we’ve got got a field of 156 this week the cut is top 70 in ties a $9.2 million purse zero players in the top 20 official world golf rankings are here this week so wide openen golf tournament in my estimation uh this course is historically extremely easy the winner has averaged minus 23 two years ago fena went minus 26 in a runaway Victory so expect a very similar type of tournament that we just saw the scores should be pretty outrageous weather expected in the 70s all week Saturday rain and thunderstorms very likely it could creep up to 80s um so we might see some issues on Saturday but I don’t expect problems other than that course comps are very clearly TPC Twin Cities uh the 3M open that’s in Minnesota uh Bryson and Tony F out won there and they also won here so that’s I think it’s an obvious comp uh The Travelers Championship last week is the other comp it just played very similar similar setup uh with with the course and and it’s a little longer but it’s it’s fairly similar from what I saw I’m emphasizing shots gained approach proximity shots gained putting and driving distance I’m happy to fully ignore short game metrics and driving accuracy this week we’ve got Ricky fowers the defending Champion he defeated Adam hadwin and Colin morow in a three three-way playoff last year we all three of us all three of us on Ricky Fowler last year and absolutely nailed this bet ton of money uh that was a great that was great I was in Hawaii on my honeymoon you guys were it’s a fantastic story about how we picked Ricky we were in the group chat we who we taking this week and I just it’s Ricky right and you guys both like yep and then we all just put the money on Ricky yeah it was a very simple one last we just we didn’t think de but no we he played so well at the US Open we felt like he was in the zone he he wears rock all over him we it was just it was so fun how that worked out you guys were absolute shambles in the chat as he was melting on Sunday and forced the playoff with that Putt and then hit an incredible shot he stuck that ball in the playoff don’t forget in the playoff he hit his Drive 10,000 feet off theway right right and then that recovery shot was amazing yeah that was awesome for Ricky and then the putty made like it would did like it was a crazy loop to Loop putt I think it was was very dramatic uh it was good to see him win again so he’s the defending Champion Tony phenow Bryson to Shambo Cam Davis and Nate Lashley are the other former winners of this short run event obviously dambo won’t be here this week and feno is also taking the week off so uh Fowler Davis and Lashley the only three people have won this event that are in the field this week all right anything to add boys okay let’s get into those let’s get into those odds Brandon take it take take the uh Take the Wheel all right um we’re going to pull up actually let me get rid of your little the ball that’s be on our faces and we’ll pull up DraftKings and here we go all right so last week’s uh runner up in the playoff Tom Kim is going to be the favorite at 12 to one it’s really nice to see lines like this yeah it is instead of plus 360 is the favorite and then plus 700 and plus 800 is the next couple uh Tom Kim 12 to One cam young who had the uh round of the9 he’s at six plus 1600 16 to1 minwu Lee comes in 20 to1 OE 22 to1 Taylor pendrith who has an insanely good course history here 25 to1 Stephen Jagger also an insanely good course history here 25 to one and then we can go from there um this is a wide open wide open it’s such a breath of fresh air to see your top odds guy over a thousand again it just it it made me feel so good like there was just layers of thinking and stress when Scotty Rory and Xander are in the field and you deal with those odds every week and having to think about win withouts it’s a lot more freeing this week so I’m really excited to get into this um H Brendon do you wna do we want to just do our picks we want to just do it that way or you want to discuss some of the top guys um uh which whichever you want to do um yeah I guess let’s just do our picks okay let’s let’s get Jim let’s have Jim kick us off here with his first outright winner and let us know why you think why you think so yeah I mean muted you just went mute what happened I’ll I’ll try to unmute him okay you’re good nope no I don’t hear him can you hear me yeah yeah you’re yeah little technical difficulties go ahead that was tough timing you’re good hello yes you’re good you’re good yeah um all right Jim how about your first outright winner hey my first outright pick I’m going with Taylor pendrith um I love a guy who can putt he does seems to do everything pretty well around the around the green he pretty good from the fairways he drives the ball very well and I just think he’s starting to come into his own a little bit um you know his last well he had two t1s a win a T10 then he got cut but then everything else has been uh right around the 16 to 33rd Place since then um I just think the guy’s a good young golfer and with a thin field he could really come here and do some damage especially with his good course history I love the pick Jim it made me think a lot about uh that tournament in Texas where everyone was scoring low the winner was I think he was minus 21 Ben Kohl’s had the awful bogey on on the last hole um and uh yeah just that type of scoring I really really think there’s an advantage to bombing the ball this week at the course I think it’s a driver wedge course purely and like he is good at that and he is a good putter too uh I also have picked Taylor pendrith to win um I’m doing two units on it I I I I feel I feel pretty good about it you mentioned the course history so yeah two units on pendri I had it at ,000 last night when I bet it it’s down to 2500 I’ll live with it but uh it’s always a little discouraging to see your odds get shot down that much yep the guy averages 309.81 Fairways and still be totally fine um and then he is very good at you know M mid-range approach shots and then putting so I I think it’s a very good Taylor penrith course because he can just go out there and bomb it then figure it out yeah and this the CJ cup Byron Nelson at at the horribly named TPC Craig Ranch yeah he was I just looked it up he was minus 23 the average score here is minus 23 it just it feels like a course he should do well on so I’m going two units there yeah and like I mean history here is also just awesome yeah all right so you both have Taylor pendrith as your as your first bet yeah I just I did two units I don’t know what Jim did but I just did the one unit okay so Brandon uh give us your first yeah my first is going to be uh a back to the well um and a uh it’s about time I’m gonna do cam young I’m gonna do cam young 16 to1 um we saw the flash last weekend of of the greatness that he can be he came in second here two years ago uh I think this is literally the of course designed for the good version of Cam young to just demolish um because he is so good at bombing driver his his weakness is that he misses a lot of Fairways but here you kind of can get away with that y um so he can bomb driver just bomb and gouge and then he just needs to make putts he actually his stats last weekend are crazy because you saw yeah I mean the round he had on Saturday and his overall what he end up coming in like he was he was top 10 I’m pretty sure yeah and and he lost Strokes putting on the weekend uh so if if he putts well at all I think he can win this tournament and I just think this is a place where he can just come in and demolish the golf course if he’s playing good and we saw flashes of the better version of him coming back last weekend um hopefully that version shows up I I really like cam young in this field I mean we’ve I’ve said for a while cam young is gonna win one of these field events at some point almost one earlier in the year when I had him uh when Mady snuck it out from under him I’m going cam young here is my first one two units and just to just to emphasize how unlucky you are sometimes malady hasn’t even sniffed like a top 50 since then yeah but yeah I definitely have no problem with that pick especially with how it looked like he completely woke up after months of playing poorly uh with that 59 and I I typically we didn’t mention it but um through through 22 holes on Saturday and so Saturday plus four holes on Sunday he was minus 15 through those 22 holes that’s insane yeah um Jim your second pick um my second pick is a little chalky but I’m going with OA batia um I told you I like that pendri game is pretty well Roundy does everything well batia does everything better um he was really good this past weekend I lost the tab I was on I had some information about him um this just a good young golfer again a weak field B at plus 2200 I love those odds uh to interrupt our currently scheduled programming for Brendan and because no one’s really watching who gives a [ __ ] YouTube I don’t get YouTube or anything like that uh gutter hederson two run two two run Homer Brendan wait really yes you promise yeah I promise yes [Music] yes there’s 200 bucks for Brendan more than that more than that okay more than that more than that he was five and a half one okay okay $275 for Brendan wow great bet uh back to our back to our scheduled programming the golf here wow I’m so glad you told me holy crap yeah that guy is my favorite person in the world he just yeah off a lefty nonetheless too every time things go bad for me in life he bails me out I should have rode along on your bet but uh yeah I’m happy for you anyways um Jim and I are time I’ve done an Allin on him and he’s done it Jim and I played real golf today I guess Jim took my phone and looked at the picks I’d written down on my phone I have o bet batia as well I love how he played last week I love what he did uh at the tournament he won he’s become he’s a really he’s up to 29 the overall world golf rankings he’s keep becoming a really really good golfer and he’s young I think he’s got extremely bright future I think he’s gonna I think he’s gonna end up winning I think he’s gonna end up winning a lot of golf tournaments I his I completely agree he doesn’t particularly hit the ball extreme extremely far but his iron in wedge play has been unbelievable this year he’s 13 overall in total shots gained and he’s got green numbers all through the major categories I love how he’s playing I got two units on him I think it was actually nice that he wasn’t in the super pressurized moments the last five or six holes of the tournament I I think some of that can be fatiguing for the next tournament so I think he’s going to be okay mentally coming into this I think he’ll be nice and loose I think he’s gonna play really well I got two units on him to win as well so I mean I guess last year this was the universal agreement to open and it won uh where we all picked Ricky and so it sounds like you guys are in Universal agreement so it’s good for you guys yeah we’ll see how it goes um it is kind of fun to you mentioned his youth uh to look at this tournament um the top four favorites uh Tom Kim is 22 years old minwu Lee is 25 and AE bti is 22 there’s two 22y olds and a 25y old in the top four favorites of this time cam cam young was Rookie of years ago cam Young’s 27 really really wow rookie of the year two years ago and he’s 27 that’s surprising that’s normal most golfers come in at like 25 true we are seeing a a youth movement um but go ahead your your second pick Brendon all right my second pick uh his odds have gotten stink stink but I’m Gonna Go With It Anyways is uh Stephen jger uh he his course history here is absolutely insane and that’s pre him being like the really good Elite level golfer that he is right now um he’s also playing really good uh but losing Strokes putting if he gets his normal putting back he would be like really playing good so if if his putting shows up this week I think he wins this tournament um he actually played really good even in the the insanely difficult US Open um played good last week obviously has a win this year uh can definitely do the go nuts and get a ton of birdies thing he does bomb his driver uh he is a guy who has the like winning attitude I when you see him out there playing well he seems cocky and I like that he’s the only guy really this year went in Under Pressure who beat Scotty sheffler like true he did yeah he did you know like okay Scotty didn’t play well at the US he got arrested at the PGA but when it when like in the actual final grouping he’s the only guy who actually beat him this season so so yeah Stephen Jagger uh I’m going with him he has two top 10 on this golf course give me Stephen jger I’m a fan of that bet he was 35 to one yesterday though that that’s not that is really that is really annoying um he’s actually sneaky he’s kind of doing the Tommy Fleetwood thing lately where he’s not sniffing the TV or the or the win but he’s getting those top 20s consistently um Jim your third and final outright winner I am going to give you a bonus winner at some point um so am I so am I my my third winner is uh gonna be uh it’s GNA be norin at plus 3,000 the guy’s got a a fully rounded game he’s playing pretty well right now I think he was playing better a little bit better a couple weeks ago but I like him against this field yeah he has he had that run of eight straight top 25s he’s kind of starting with the Canadian open he’s kind of been bad for not bad but he’s just not really doing it for a month but uh this is his kind of place and he played really well at the tournament that pendrith won uh so I could see a similar kind of thing going on here so yeah don’t don’t hate the bet I wish the odds were a little better though he also he was just very well-rounded though he also I believe came in fourth here last year he was the first guy outside the playoff group um and I believe he has I believe he has three top 10 T T4 and a T9 that I know of yeah um so all of that plus it just feels like he’s he’s so due to win a tournament although he statistically he’s he’s regressed from the absolute fire flames he was on but this is a good field for him and better odds than he’s been getting in these fields I mean look I’m gonna give you a guy here who I’m not betting him at all this week he’s not on my board anywhere but like my instincts were tingling when I was looking at Min W Lee is this guy ever going to win you know he’s seems like he could win something like this just out of nowh where uh Jim I uh he’s not on my he’s not on my outright winner sheet but outside of the show when I placed my actual bets for real money last night I I I threw some on Min Wy I I I really like him this week too I have a good feeling about him as well I just feel like he could sneak up on people 100% the odds are like so brutal it’s hard to bet him because like what 20 to one for Min Le but yeah the explosion that he can do is is it kind of feels like he’s starting to wake up and he’s like due for a real pop you know yes yeah it’s funny he does well too because the fans love him yes yeah he’s got a great personality he’s he’s good for golf um let’s see how he’s let’s see how he’s done lately yeah yeah like I said he’s fully actually he’s fully awake Masters t22 CJ cup t24 PGA t26 US Open t21 Charles sha t24 he’s actually taken off like the last Almost full month other than the US Open but that’s five straight top 26s so he’s definitely in good form again yeah okay uh my third one is just down there at plus 3000 it’s a guy that Jim doesn’t like his voice but I do like his ball striking it’s Aaron Ry he’s played well here before he’s he’s had a pretty solid season he hasn’t you know hasn’t really contended too much I think he had a third place at one point this year but I just have a good feeling about him this week he’s a guy that seems to go low in these type of tournaments the birdie binge tournaments he seems to show up he seems to show up for I’m I’m feeling good about Aaron Ry this week I’m doing two units on him as well at plus 3,000 yeah I mean I absolutely love I don’t have as an outright winner but you’re gonna see have an insane style of betting on Aaron Ry in this tournament I I did a crazy thing uh so I do love Aaron Ry here and he’s playing great he’s a top 20 machine he’s a play good machine uh and this is the kind he’s gonna win something eventually on the PJ tour he’s got six straight top 40s and four of those were top 25 so he’s playing he’s playing solid golf lately okay uh Brendan your third outright winner uh yeah my third one is going to be a guy we’ve talked about a lot Ryan Fox uh I still believe Ryan Fox is going to win a tournament soon Ryan Fox was remember winning every tournament on the DP world tour last year he’s popped multiple times on the PGA tour just having little bad stretches that have pulled him out of the ability to win but he’s had outright leads in three recent tournaments uh big tournaments on the PGA tour um I really like Ryan Fox here this is his kind of field uh this is a kind of tournament he can go out and get he’s been playing really good golf he’s he’s gonna these odds are great for him I’m taking Ryan Fox yeah I actually uh nowhere on my sheet but he was in my thoughts this week I like the BET yep I totally agree all right uh I’ve got wwo top four on FanDuel but we’ll get to that in the dial it up so let’s go to the placements let’s start with our top fives and top 10 I’ve got seven have Jim had like one he wanted to throw on here I do too so oh I didn’t know if you guys wanted to do that in the dial it up it’s on this list as a winner like just a yeah I agree you guys take care of that then what do you got you okay um you’re gonna have to scroll way down um um at plus 20,000 taking a flyer on my boy Vincent Norman bombs he short courses I think I’m missing him somewhere might might gotf Nerf there anyway this guy he’s not a very good golfer off the tea or sepher off the te um by comparison I don’t know what his deal has been this year he played a little better last year when he got his first win um but I feel like he’s doing a break out at any point uh I think he could be another good young swed yeah I mean you’re the Vincent Norman guy you you basically you basically uh Vincent Norman didn’t even think he could win till you bet on him last year no I plucked him out of thin air he’s a young stud too he just hasn’t been able to make any putts this year um and he’s wildly inaccurate off the tea yeah but this is a place he can get away with that he bombs it he just um he also I believe came in like 15th here last year something like that um I think he also had a nice performance on the DP a couple weeks ago if I correct me if I’m wrong but he was in it for a little bit yeah yeah um yeah I love this 24 here last year I love this B Jim yeah no problem johw on a guy who knows how to win a golf tournament you know the odds are really good I agree um my long shot guy is also uh what oh I was just going to say there’s some real gems down in in this area that I some guys yeah there are i’ I’ve thrown a like in real life I’ve thrown some sprinkles out there in this area me too but I’m gonna give you my my long shot for the show my long shot for the show is piersen cudy uh we we saw him pop a few weeks ago this guy can get red hot putting uh really young upand cominging guy you know him and his brother here um we he was what he came in third like in the whatever the heck it was um even the odds makers can’t tell them apart yeah yeah uh I’m I’m going with it I I like his his putting it can get so red hot and his putting stats are insane uh I think this is an opportunity Young Young Guy’s gonna be better than these odds over time um yeah I’m throwing a dart at him Jim and I were having food after the golf we played today Jim says to me what do you like do you do you like Piti this week I swear to God oh nice yeah yeah so that’s funny so uh one unit there brenon who is it it’s Ben Griffin there there he is yeah it moved a little okay so plus 550 Ben Griffin played really well at the RBC Canadian open he’s a pretty pretty talented golfer um definitely playing some solid Golf and I think he fits well in in this style of tournament so I’m doing one unit on him to be top 10 at plus 550 he didn’t play great at The Travelers though no he did not no he seems to either come in the top 10 or stink yeah I think I think there’s a chance he could pop this week I like I don’t know I like his style for this course yep yeah I I don’t mind him at all I like him all right Brandon um okay uh my I’m yeah I got a lot uh my first one is just uh the well okay I got a couple different like style things here uh my first one is going to be a guy I’ve already said but I’m gonna do Stephen jger to come in top 10 plus 280 yeah D down on your doubling down on your feelings yeah I like I like that yeah I just I really like him to be really in the mix here I I do obviously have him to win but I also like him as a top I know we don’t always do it but like if you’re going to bet got a win I always like just strategically believe in him top 10 yeah the amount of times that we do that and we come in second and we’re like why didn’t we we didn’t put the go yeah and then I feel like the weeks where I do the Double Down thing you guys are talking about he he like sucks so yeah but but we’ll see um Jim go ahead I only have t20s so I’m gonna wait okay well Z let’s get a couple more out of the way here I’m right next to where I was before with the 500s I got Matt Wallace top 10 I actually 550 I actually love actually really love Matt Wallace this week I put some real life money on him too I he’s a he’s the kind of guy who when he gets hot is red hot like he’s prone to making mistakes and playing himself out of a tournament but when he is locked in he’s a fantastic golfer he’s been playing all over the world he played a couple DP events uh and I’ll always like him from that interview he did at the Mexico open when he hit in the water and was still like really nice and polite to everyone um when he dropped out of contention so I I like him too but I think he plays really well this week so give me one unit on him top 10 he he funny enough he did exactly the same thing Sunday uh Sunday in the KLM open in the Netherlands he was he was one shot off the lead on the third hole he went long and then he had a horrible chip out of the rough and then he chipped past and then so he ends up double bogging it and the next hole he does Walkin talk with them and it was just very hilarious wow yeah Matt wall seems to have popped in like all these like pleaded field events he’s played in on the PGA tour yeah um yeah I like him here yeah I I love the I love the outright odds too at 6,000 he’s a talented golfer he’s a good player all right your next T10 Brendon or T5 I’m gonna give you this I’m just gonna do this thing I’m doing so that you I can just get it out of the way um I’m doing Aaron Ry and I’m doing levels I’m doing an Aaron Ry ladder um Aaron Ry top five plus 700 um Aaron Ry top 10 plus 330 uh and Aaron Ry top 20 plus 2 40 wow plus 140 plus 140 but two units on the top 20 and then one unit on the 10 and one unit on the five wow I and I I have win so if he comes in top 20 I make money anyways because I do two units on the top 20 and then if he if he comes in the top 10 then I make a bunch if he comes top five I make a ton that’s and if he wins I I win my outright winner so him to play really well here I just there’s something about him he never seems to get quite enough to win but I like him yeah yeah that’s a cool strategy way to introduce it to uh the show that’s that’s good stuff um I got one last top 10 that I’ll do uh it is plus 900 it’s Alejandro toasty and the reason I like him this week is because what I said earlier he hits it a country mile I guess his odds have changed somewhere yep set oh my God brutal overnight but um yeah I’ll toast he hits it so far he actually he had he’s popped a couple times this year he sucked a couple times this year but he’s actually played really nicely in a couple of these depleted field tournaments so I think he has a chance to play well this week so give me him top 10 for one unit did he did Brennan Brennan’s gone is he going to the bathroom yeah he’s got severe incontinence issues he does yeah oh yeah how you feeling Jim I’m exhausted oh I think I have heat stroke yeah do you put on any sunscreen at all no my no yeah you’re in big trouble yeah yeah yeah we got abs roasted out there today yeah yeah this is usually usually people leave they say like I’ll be right back you know yeah uh but yeah yeah this we you you I didn’t want to interrupt I was letting you talk uh yeah um let’s go to the top 20s now I know we have a ton to to cover here I got a whole mess I mean if this was the Genesis field he would be like that but yeah um it would be closer yeah you’re right you’re right okay top 20s uh Jim give us Jim give us uh give us one uh yeah my first one is going to be Adam Fenson at plus 240 uh this is the guy hasn’t really made a splash this year just been hanging around all year in the middle of the pack and we took out the top half of the pack for this week and so I like him to be uh T20 at 240 well I’ll tell you what Jim he was the top Canadian at The Travelers and I believe he uh yeah he was t16 at minus 14 last week so he’s in good form yeah he is I like end beating pendrith last week yeah he oh good question Brendan yes by Two Strokes pendrith faded on the final round really okay yeah yeah he was the top Canadian last week I like him nice player yeah uh Jim already mentioned this guy I’m doing Alex norin top 20 at plus 140 for two units I think he will play well this week or plus 150 now I think he will play well this week I just don’t like him to actually go out and win it so give me his two units uh for plus 150 top 20 just to finish my ladder there the Darren Ry top 20 that’s the two unit it’s I said 140 it’s 150 so that’s nice cool um I don’t know if I mentioned it I do have two units on senson all right excellent so I’ve got a few more top 20s I don’t know what I got I have four more all right go ahead uh my second one is uh Patrick Rogers at plus 260 for two units uh he also was T6 last week um he’s kind of been popping up now and again with t10s T20 finishes all year uh and again with a depleted field I really like his game he he almost he almost won at uh at the RBC Heritage down there he he played really well that week so uh good fantastic 66 66 68 and then a 70 it’s a great weekend great week for him yeah um my next one is in this range it’s Cam Davis I don’t know I don’t know where his odds have gone yeah there there are plus plus 280 um you know this is mostly because he has won this event um also his overall odds are like 11 110 to one for a guy who has won this event I found that kind of shocking I put five bucks on that I’m like okay um but yeah I like him T20 here it’s got to be a confidence Builder to go to a place you’ve won uh and he does tend he’s popped a bunch this year and he he can handle the birdie binge course pretty well I think so give me Tam Davis top 20 at plus 280 for one unit yeah not only has he won he also top 10 last year yeah I don’t get his odds it doesn’t make sense to me he’s in all the Signature Events too he’s a good golfer yeah he’s really good he he’s played bad the last couple weeks is I think why yeah missed the cut at The Travelers uh which I think that that hurt him um there is no cut or whatever he was like was he in he was like dead last he was very close to dead last yes yes yes or did he like withdraw I don’t know he was so out of that it was no he finished 58th out of 70 guys so yeah you’re pretty much right he missed the cut okay so um yeah I I also have Cam Davis top 20 so I’ll I’ll second your your pick there same reasons obviously he’s also a guy I love I’ve picked him a few times uh he’s he’s I’ve picked him in the good spots too um yeah the Masters was impressive when you picked him this a good course for him he he can bomb the driver he’s really good with his long irons um he just he’s putted really bad he’s been kind of awful around the greens uh but this of course you can kind of get away with that I think and his great history here he’s probably going to feel good showing up he’s one here um and top 10 also so I like Cam Davis here a lot top 20 plus 280 for a guy who’s top 10 twice uh with a win he might have felt a little you know over over in his head when he qualified for all these Signature Events and playing with these incredible players week to week this might be a breath of fresh air from small weaker field a place he’s won I I I like him this week too L talented golfer this guy has like all the talent he’s got he does hit at a mile right oh yeah he hits at Sky High hits at a mile um insanely talented golfer and he’s still young and obviously I mean he has the experience now he played in like third to last group at the Masters you know he ends up coming in I think like 16th there but that’s still awesome if this tournament was being played with his exact field in April he would be it his top 20 would be plus 140 so I love the value we’re getting there yep um yeah this is a ignore ignore right now form just history Talent Etc Jim’s looking at the spider right now in the corner look don’t look at it Jim he is making sure it’s still there yeah you gotta you gotta make sure it’s still there Jim your next top 20 uh my next top 20 I’m going with Keith Mitchell at uh plus 160 for two units guy hits the crap out of the ball um he’s great off the te great from approach he cannot putt but at all but no but he should be saving some Strokes by getting the ball there quicker than everybody else so we should be fine yeah I’ve seen a lot of people on Keith Mitchell this week um very understand was really good the beginning couple months this year he’s been very mediocre out of his element lately but last his last six events were t-14 t-28 T20 cut t37 T10 guys he’s actually playing better than I thought wow yeah I thought that’s that surprised me there’s a ton of value in betting Keith Mitchell yeah Jim I completely apologize for what I just said sorry thank you yeah um a guy who a guy who early in the season uh had a right lead entering Sunday also was second favorite to win a different tournament that was a field like this so you’re getting good value yeah and like I said the beginning of the year he had a stretch of three consecutive top 20s in February um so he’s got the game and like Jim said I really am valuing um he hasn’t played since the Canadian open well that’s a while uh I I’m valuing bombing the ball this week and he hits it so far so yeah and his his what becomes a weakness outside the putting is he sometimes sprays the driver all over the place but like it’s kind of’s the only when he’s under pressure but it’s kind of okay here I’m saying yeah yeah agree um my next one is a Brendan fan favorite all the way down in 450 a guy who hits it who averages 450 yards off the t uh it is Chris gdup oh you’re doing Chris even which he went some direction which direction did he go I I don’t know there he is he went the wrong direction swaggy Chris he went the wrong direction he has ever since he elevated to the signature events and got in the majors he’s played like dog [ __ ] but other than the outright win well yeah I said well yeah that’s what elevated him to these events cut cut cut t61 yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that’s all I’m saying that’s all I’m saying uh uh I’m a wary outright one and he played awesome this is a course where I’ll say it for the 13th time hitting it far I really think matters this guy kills the ball he’s Aver he’s like averaging is a birdie on par five he’s incredible um brenon I’m Brendan’s been giving him out for weeks for months uh so I’m going to steal his pick here I’m going gotd her up T20 plus 360 I sure loved the value when it was plus 450 last night but alas uh I’ll go because I got one right here um I don’t really understand the number because if you go look at this guy’s I mean I guess no one’s heard of him but his history is right now like the last two months I’m going MC Meisner uh plus 360 top 20 um he’s coming to top 20 in like his last 100 tournaments in a row he’s on fire uh he doesn’t sniff winning but the guy just keeps coming in the top he’s coming in the top 30 I like I know exact like I think like eight tournaments this year uh I love MC Meisner here uh plus 360 to come in top 20 yeah I’m going to pull up the results because I I need to check if he if he actually has a 100 top yeah brendon’s you know I speak he’s got he’s got Cuts mixed in but since since March we have one two three four five six top 25 so yeah you’re you’re right he’s got a couple bad tournaments in there but uh when he does play well he seems to be in the mix yeah but are the bad ones are like the really hard ones right yeah exactly cut at the US Open and yeah that doesn’t count this guy either misses the cut or makes top 20 25 yeah exactly so yeah good and the value is there I think so good bet um Jim your next one so this guy his game is not sharp right now but we’re getting two plus 260 on him uh I’m going with Chris Kirk just looking at his course history here the last four years has been so starting in 2020 he was t21 then T12 then t17 then T14 wow like this guy loves coming in the top 20 on this course yeah um I a little worried that his game’s not sharp right now but we’re getting better than two and a half to one on it so I’m going to throw something at it correct me if I’m wrong but did he win like the senty earlier this year yeah yes and came in second the week after remember yeah yeah he was super hot he’s been out of form lately but uh Jim I also noticed his course history when I was doing some research last night so uh yeah definitely a fan of this this pick yeah a little cold since the RBC Heritage but he could definitely bounce back that’s that’s nice odds for him because because this is the kind of field where there’s times where he’s like third favorite we’ve we’ve we’ve really showcased it here in our piics I’ll reiterate it it’s a great week for a get right kind of thing for a ton of these guys who are struggling yeah sometimes sometimes in this kind of field you can just like because you get a good value in guys Talent over right right just because they played bad the last few weeks well the last few weeks they had a lot of pressure and scary fields and tough situations um yeah this loosens them up a little like you know go out uh you know pitch pitch uh robbing average people of their future earnings uh and and you know play a nice golf tournament out here yeah and and the uh what’s nice about it is if you get a guy in bad form you can you get fantastic value betting betting in a giant 160 player field um like this so so yeah yeah and you you really like we like to look at data obviously but there is an element to getting value and and in golf I mean we play golf we’ve and we’ve watched pro golf for a very long time these are great golfers they come back like it’s gonna come back for a lot of the great ones especially young guys um yeah I mean look at what Patrick hentley was playing like trash and then the last two weeks he’s on fire again uh it can come back for people and it’s gonna for of these guys and this a good opportunity to get some value um if I was kle I would not have taken this week off because he has certainly found his game I don’t know what he’s doing well he he only he only cares about the big events really he found his game until until every time he had a three-footer in front front of him he had to make it yeah but I mean I think I think he actually played the like overall best golf I gave out the stat C Patrick KY Led Led The Travelers championship in birdies last week which is not cuz he missed like five short Birdie putts on so he was he was absolutely on fire he just made too many bogeys but um okay I have one final top 20 uh Jim what about you I have one more two more okay you go ahead then uh mine are now we’re going back to tradition uh I had to do it guys uh Nikolai Hoyer done he’s probably gonna win the tournament he’ll probably win the tournament because we got sick of him and this is exct the one he’ll show up and win I I gotta go okay Nikolai hoard top 20 he’s also kind of sneaky been good at getting in the top 20 of a bunch of tournaments lately he is a he loves to just bomb the driver all over the place and then play from there uh I think this kind of Suits him pretty well top 20 is easy for him he’s didn’t he play a really good US Open then that just had one terrible round or something yeah uh the US Open he ended up coming in top 20 in yeah you was open he was t5050 oh oh just up think shot2 69 7474 so he entered the weekend at like 10th yeah yeah yeah he did okay and the Masters obviously he was top 10 until like he had saturday6 yeah yeah um and I believe if second place at the Farmers Insurance way back okay anyways young guy like his talent um top 20 this is a nice setup for him to just like go up with with no pressure he had too much pressure early in the year um and I like nikolai’s problem is he get sprays the driver half the time uh and I think he can get away with it here more so give me plus 250 just top 20 we’re taking the pressure off we’re not betting him to win stuff top 20 sneak in there fine I’ll allow it and then um the other one is the other guy I like to bet and I really think he’s gonna play great here is Nick Dunlap uh plus 300 for a top 20 um such a talented golf he can go nuts he’s he’s had really good rounds with mixed mistakes uh lately um hasn’t putted particularly well if he had he’d be really popping in a lot of these tournaments we’ve seen him on the weekend on the leaderboard uh I like him just top 20 just show up come in top 20 weird stat about Nick Dunlap dead last in the field in Bird’s last week uh just could not get anything going but incredibly was like seventh in greens and regulation that’s how bad he puted last yeah he couldn’t putt yeah but that can turn around you know these guys can turn that around quickly so um yeah I like that bet I also love the guy below him I’ll talk about him later um oh yeah I’ll talk about him later though I’m betting I’m betting him top 30 that’s my last placement bet so I might as well say that for Michael thorbjornson I’ll hit my top 30 and just say it uh shoot did I lose him yeah looks like you did there he is top 30 plus 180 just going to sprinkle one unit on it gotta have some action on him he is like his talent is hit the ball 10,000 miles um he played good at The Travelers for his first pro tournament I was wildly impressed watching him play golf yeah and uh you know next young Phenom coming up so let’s see yeah he he really like it popped off the screen watching this guy like it was oozing Talent you know he averaged 330 yards off the te in college this year yeah something like that and he seemed to have a complete game I really I really I think this guy going to be a stud for for a while um my last top 20 we’ll go back to top 20 uh it’s all the way down in the 700 range um it’s another guy who just hits it a mile um it’s Garrick higo I don’t see him yet but it might it might have gotten worse overnight they all get worse yeah of course it did um I just love the value here gigo is a extremely in assistant golfer either plays God awful or he’s like fighting around the leaderboard on on on the on the weekend I’ve seen him go really low in a couple of these birdie binge tournaments and be in the running and I just love that he hits it really far and I think he could have a nice week here and I love the value at plus 600 they haven’t heard his name in a while uh maybe he pops so I’m going one unit on Garrick hio top 20 he’s do I like that bet too much um too much thank you remember the I think the Mexico open he was like plus 1,200 to win yeah right what remember that it was like and like it was like uh it was like fow and then him yeah it was a bit odd I agree um but we saw um I don’t know if you remember last year tournament actually coming up next week at TPC dear run he was in first place on the weekend yes higo can go nuts yeah and and The The J yeah like I said deer John Deere last year he was right there to win de with with Denny and sept so anyways um anyone else got any more placement bets I got a T20 and then one t40 oh let’s do it hold on uh my I’d like to work with the P40 T what Jim T20 oh oh okay who is a guy I honestly have never heard of oh um I’m going with Troy Merritt but plus 450 okay I just noticed his uh course history here last year he was t17 the year before T14 then T2 and T8 what guy clearly likes playing here and I’m getting four and a half to one on my money um so I’ll do that every single time is that real apparently wow okay yeah I love the BET then love it yeah I don’t I don’t know anything about him but his course history so we love it I have heard of him but I tell you I haven’t thought about him in a long time like they give us all these different bet one line I wish they had was just best round of the tournament oh God I know so instead so it doesn’t have to be round one but just the best single round because I love minwoo for like that I Al I also wish okay so so when the first round ends they give you leader at the end of round two I want them to isolate just best round two score best round they don’t do frustrates me but but I wish When you entered it was just guy who has the best one round in the yeah that would be great as well I agree so you don’t have to be stuck with just Thursday because there’s guys pop once you got four bullets in the barrel yeah yeah I I like it that way the odds would go down a bit but it still would be fun to do yeah yeah exactly I’d be fine with that always his best his best round so I think he’s gonna leave the tournament boy you guys are sick puppies out here I really I’m starting to to turn the corner though I like want you to win the hoard bets now well we’re going to wind up Plus on the against them for a long time like we have all of our opinions on Nikolai Hoy Garden I think we got out a little too early in the excitement on him and and put a little too much pressure on him um this is a really young guy we are going to be right eventually he’s going to win golf tournaments um so like we can make these jokes because we’ve been addicted to him this is 23 but I am also terrified that we’re gonna quit him just in time right like I did Chris G up I quit bet Chris got her up like six weeks in a row and he won the seventh week yeah it’s very it’s devastating oh can you and also I bet Tom Kim four weeks in a row and I didn’t bet him this week can you scroll to Matt Wallace here uh yeah where is he oh yeah I just he yeah I really like it because he seemingly is always in the top five or 10 on the leaderboard at the end of Friday’s round right yeah so top five round just he kind of just shoots even par on the weekend and you forget about him but like I feel like he’s always right there I I put 10 bucks in real life on this I’m not doing it on the show I’m just gonna do Min Le on the show but I sneaky love that bet I almost feel like every time he plays a tournament like midday Friday he’s in third correct that’s exactly what I was thinking yeah and he did it at he even did it at the DP well the DP he was in second on Sunday but yeah yeah you know what I mean but he was he was there the whole time yeah he’s just real he’s really good I like him too yeah agreed so I I have a weird feeling about that one as well so all right maybe mwo and him will tie and I can get both mine is a belief in what I believe and obviously there’s a lot of potential for this it’s cam young I’m doing cam young I mean he shot 59 last weekend he had fir Flames the front nine lost it a bit but Camy young there’s nobody who can go lower than cam young um and I’ve already picked him to win this tournament so I might as well throw a little sprinkle on the round one I if this is an example of if I could bet best single round I would definitely bet him or minwoo I like both of them for that um but I like cam young just to show up Thursday and just go nuts yeah I can totally see it um all right anything else at draft you take me to uh round one top five yes um so you give up a little juice here but you get a little leeway uh I’m going with uh pendrith at plus a th000 and Bobby Mac as well at plus 1200 o Bobby Bobby’s been a round one machine too last week last week Jim gave out Matsuyama and pendrith end of think it’s totally doable um it is it is the other one I have all t40s I have Cam champ Joel Damon Matt coocher Luke list and Michael Kim and that pays you 125 to one you actually might have managed to just name all people who won’t get in the top 40 well that’s possible uh and then I have uh young and baa to be top five and uh that uh Trey Meritt fellow to be top 20 and that’s 138 to one GE you’re try are those all One units yes you’re trying to take the you’re trying to take over the unit lead aren’t you we trying to jump on back in there you know Jim’s coming for that a BR uh just University coming on to the tour guy yeah um the previous two won before people knew who they were uh and he’s kind of like L gber and and Nick Dunlap both came out and just won immediately uh maybe he does it too yeah that was part of my thinking and uh I was also thinking that we’ve B other than Davis Riley randomly at the Charles Schwab we’re kind of like a thre Monon thing we there haven’t been too many surprises I think we might be due for a surprise you know well I mean oh is who wouldn’t be a surprise here EXA well Tom Kim cam young but but yeah yeah yeah but you get what I mean I I he’s in it’s kind of it’s relatively new the PGA University thing um where if you’re number one in it you get to have the be on the whole tour um and uh him Dunlap and ludvig did it yeah it’s called PG it’s called it’s called PGA Tour you and it’s the and they keep track of the top 20 college players on the year and then they have a tournament at the end and they give the they give the guy a full exemption for the rest of the season so yeah it’s cool Jim you might be thinking about the Aon swing five or something I don’t know what it was bun Oland and ludvig and and Colin I don’t know I’ll that they’re showing that they’re they’re blending two things which is like the former version of what it is which is basically being the top ranked college player which the other two you named were folks uh multiple outright winners this year multiple uh Runway outright winners ripped out from under people um we pretty much always have the lead on Sunday uh in the DP World Tour um but two big outright winners uh in otegi a month ago and migoi Sunday um we’re heading to Italy for the Italian Open uh and what do we got we’re great at betting this this tour yeah we’re you you are great at betting this tour I am great at finishing second place with Sebastian Soderberg um but um yeah all you’re the DP Whisperer why don’t you kick it off I don’t know I didn’t do any research on the actual course I just picked guys I liked and they’re very cheesy picks so you go first well okay so one is Honorable must uh to honor honor him um so I have two bets uh I have to honor the man who just won us this at his home uh we’re going Guido migoi one unit plus 2200 um he’s Italian Italian Open he just won this past weekend great player uh and if he’s not ital if he’s not Italian then his parents are racist and I also love him forever now after his gigantic balls win uh this past weekend um and my second bet is I mean I just named both of them Adrien oi 3 35 to one um I like these two guys I mean these are the most consistent golfers I think the these guys just they go doot doot doot in yeah with no Soderberg or Nakajima here they I think they’re I think they probably are the most two consistent players yeah I just I really like both of them uh and they’ve got the they’ve got what it takes to win so give me Adrian oi 35 to1 those are my two bets love those bets love those guys I’m also joining you on migot just kind of as a he just won he’s going to Italy uh honor thing like you said so one unit on him my other guy is also Italian it is uh down in the 4,000 range I’m just doing the Home Country thing here I don’t see him did I get nerfed I got nerfed uh there it is 3500 Mato manaro maner yes he’s actually found his form um I did some research on this guy super interesting story he qualified for he made the cut at the Masters when he was 15 years old I certainly didn’t remember that um then from 2013 to 2022 completely struggled as an adult trying to play golf got just hit like low depths was very depressed and then all of a sudden two years ago he won a tournament and he’s just back and we see him all over the leaderboard on the DP um and he was right there he was right there on Sunday as well last week at the Dutch open um he’s only 31 years old and he’s been a pro golfer since he’s two since 2010 it’s pretty pretty wild actually um so he seems to have somehow refound some form in golf and I like him here in Italy why not go with Italian Guys that’s fun I like that and he was he was quite good this past weekend so I like that a lot yeah uh Jim you want to throw your hat in the ring yeah I’m G throw my hat in the ring uh I like the idea of going with a guy who won last week you guys I figured we’re going to both do that I’m going with the guy who took second last week at much better odds I’m going with Joe Dean at plus 9,000 um he has two top fives in his last three starts guys doe for a win let’s go get him one uh the other guy I’m doing is youan Ferguson at plus 3500 um I tend to bet on Yan been losing a lot of money on Yan let’s keep the trend going uh he was right there until the weekend this past week uh then kind of blew up on Saturday and especially Sunday yeah he had a horrible weekend but he was like in the top five yeah y um Joe Dean I did not know that he’s had two recent top fives that’s quite interesting so that’s a good stat Brendon any other thoughts on this DP here no I mean yeah no it’s it’s an exciting tournament I’m I’m Patrick Reid is playing which is a wild thing to also just point out yeah um I noticed that too so there’s that part too yeah I wonder where this is uh I wonder where this go wonder if it’s the same place they played the Ryder Cup probably not but I don’t believe so yeah I could be it’s at the Adriatic Golf Club so no certainly not the same thing oh actually ah they played at the Mark they played at the Ryder Cup spot a couple years ago this is a rotating course yeah they got more than one golf course in Italy yeah okay let’s go go over to the US Senior Open a whole whole country thank you thank you thank you you I will say you made it an hour and a half without hurting my feelings but it was hard okay let’s go over to the US Senior Open us Senior Open being played in Newport Rhode Island uh yeah we’re becoming more and more Addicted to Golf soon we’ll be betting on like local state amateur tournaments um we’re just adding stuff every week but I I absolutely love it so uh I saw this there’s no Liv there’s no LPGA this week so I saw this and I was like okay let’s do this um I’m gonna let Brendan go first yeah I’m doing Steve strier plus 650 um Steve Stricker absolutely torched this this uh this field he’s kind of cooled down a little bit this year but Steve Stricker is is the best golfer like in form of the senior group of the last couple years um just in terms of consistency I mean he was dominating uh last summer uh I’m taking Steve Stricker plus 650 yeah Steve had a historically good season last year on the senior tour like insane like at one point his odds have gotten normalized somewhat at last year they were like plus 200 every tournament yeah like he just was winning I think he had like eight wins on the senior tour last year also Richard Bland over from the Liv to play here as the favorite um interesting I’m not sure why he’s allowed but um he is yeah he it’s it’s a major right he must have he won he won the uh the Senior PGA Championship oh he did Richard BL I didn’t know that yeah but he normally plays on live correct correct but he he won he qualified in and then won the Senior PGA Championship so he’s going to be in all the that is quite impressive I had I thought he was like I thought he was like 45 I did not realized he was over 50 still playing high quality golf that’s that’s crazy I’m looking at Stricker’s numbers from last year he had six six wins and five seconders or t2s yeah he justed yeah he was ridiculous last season his worst finish was T15 what yeah why wow what a year I’m kind of excited I’m kind of excited for two years from now when Tiger Woods is on this in a cart and just wrecks it oh they have carts you get to use a cart in the senior one yeah I just I I’m G be honest I don’t think I’ve put on the SE the Senior PGA Tour in a few years so yeah we’re about two years from Tiger being able to be on it and tiger is going to go nuts strier has 12 PGA Tour wins and 17 Champions wins and has made as much money as Scotty’s made the past month yeah okay well let’s uh let’s put this in perspective Brennan makes a really good point because when Phil Mickelson turned 50 he just went over to the Liv um or went over to the senior tour play he played three tournaments he won two by a mile and finished second in the third one so you’re these highlevel PGA players who turn 50 are still way better than the senior tour players so I hope tiger can be healthy and go roast that to be yeah there’s a huge advantage you’re like 50 to 57 yeah I would like to make my pick though oh I thought oh oh my for some reason in my head I thought we talked so much that I thought yeah I know we really did talk a lot about the senior too Jim did you uh did you make a bet there I I went Stricker okay so you’re bu on Stricker I’m doing one unit on Lee Westwood he played fantastic at Liv Nashville I think he was minus 11 I think he was top 10 um he still got a ton of game for his age he historically loves finishing second place his entire career in everything poor guy but um 11th of a unit on VJ sing I’m not letting you um can I can I be annoying yeah go for it Zack just made us do like a whole aside for like five minutes on how could Richard Bland be in this and then he picks another live guy you knew live guys were in it right well I just you know I thought I didn’t realize BL Bland’s age surprised me I knew Westwood was old enough I was just kind of I thought Bland turned 50 like yesterday I guess when I saw him in there um also Lee Westwood you know 25 years on the PGA tour super established name second place in ton of Majors Richard Bland I had heard of Richard Bland until about two years ago so yeah but I I get what I get I get what you’re saying isn’t Patrick Harrington that uh that Irish poker player and chess player he’s a he’s a great great alltime great golfer he’s I think he has think gu we green at all the W Dan Haring you’re thinking of Dan Harrington Dan Haring he made backtack final tables at the main event um yeah very good chess player too yes yes yes um this is what they’ve tuned in for Dan Harrington I’m kidding I’m kidding um hey the people want to know they do I’m doing one unit on Lee Westwood um speaking of Patrick Harrington I think he won the British Open twice in his career but regardless um we didn’t really do big scary this week mine’s cam young I don’t know if you guys have one but um nah yeah that’s all right I put him in like I bet him a couple different ways fun tournament last year wasn’t it sap shot minus 1,000 yeah I I was out of the tournament completely SE straa shot 61 on Sunday and I had an incredible comeback win Jim got totally screwed but all Denny McCarthy needed to do is shoot minus one and he played great the whole week for Jim to make a $2,000 parlay and Denny went one over par and ruined it um that was a jerk but yeah the little track factors as the as the T box markers and every hole are really cool um the big pond yeah the remember the announcers last year saying that uh do you think strep Saka straa wants to win or do you think he only cares about shooting 59 remember that how weird that was like I think he wants to win the tournament I think he would like to win I think if he shoots 59 he wins the tournament they not like you know that win they acted like they were mutually exclusive like you can only do one it was really weird then he hit it in the water he did and I flipped out at Jim who had already congratulated me they engraved his name already yeah Brendan Todd massive choke on on Sunday as well at oh yeah remember that horrible three putt and then he hit it in the water as well yeah but yeah I don’t know why we’re I don’t know why we’re ruining the preview for the tournament next week but um we talking golf yeah talked T of starting to wake up guys the spider oh God no don’t don’t talk about it I need like a broom like a handle you need the you need the the salt gun that I have but you don’t have it so I don’t have it except the only problem with the salt gun is when you hit it Square some they fly
