and the Formula 2 Sprint race is officially underway for round eight of the Season here at Silverstone and it’s Kimmy Antonelli in the red and white prer who will lead us down the Hamilton straight for the first time Z Maloney there in second place kushmi in third we have a battle going on for fourth place jack Crawford leading that in the dams Lucas Oil car but in the yellow and Victor we’ve got gab or baletto under pressure from ole bman the British driver in the red and white trying to dive down the inside now he looks to the outside can he get the switch back move as we make our way up towards anry oh a bit of contact there is there damage now to the car of Ole bman as we hit the Wellington straight Alex yeah he’s lost the left front end play of the front Wing olle bman having a look up the inside of Gabrielle boretto down through turn four boretto in turn putting C pressure on Crawford through the early stages of the lap but it’s bman with Pace Crawford really struggling and botling up boretto back into the Midfield up ahead it’s a close battle for second Antonelli escaping out front boretto now all over the back of Crawford let’s jump on board with the Brazilian side by side through cops in the wet yes please says Gabriel bortoletto he’s going to have it all the way around the outside Gabriel bortoletto hugely Brave to try the move didn’t quite pay off but now he’s going to go side by side into maggots and beckets round the outside and the reigning Formula 3 Champion goes into fourth place what a move from boretto and olle bman versus Martin Martin surely looking to the outside down to Brooklyn’s that’s where all the grip will be and he’ll be able to Hoon around the outside of the prer and take the place feature race winner here last year Victor Martins in the background in the Red Bull Livery that’s Isaac haar side by side with his championship rival Paul Aon they almost touch the pair coming on towards the here they come through woodcut now the Red Bull Livery car running wide at the first Corner cordal in the pit Lane safety car is out and yeah just there’s a river that runs across the road there um due to the way that the club corner is drained and you have to be very careful on the throttle we’ve seen drivers really struggling through the exit there red flag has come out and that will be due to the conditions as we head up towards Abby for the first time of this restart 15 laps to go Zay only sat there in second then it’s the two yellow invictor racing cars Kush minione leading winner from last time out Gabriel boretto as they make their way up towards the loop now we’ve got side by side action going on between minione boretto to the left of screen trying to perform a switch back move on his teammate and he’s got the better traction out the corner but minione shuts the door in his face there will we have now side by side action going on down the Wellington St yes we will bto’s found a gap on the inside we’ve seen him pull off some fantastic moves already in this race round the outside now he’s going to try and pull off another but kushion well defended on that occasion Alex brundle and Victor Martins is absolutely flying in the Alpine liery machine he’s made a move on haga he’s now trying to go around the outside and did he make it as they made their way through the exit of lufield he’s got massive Pace behind the wheel of that AR putting pressure hopefully he make a mistake don’t lose behind trying to CR my Dr man petto not happy at all there with his teammate mione we’ve got teammates going head-to-head once again in Formula 2 as they come down towards brooklands and lufield now side by side Martins dive down the inside there oh we’ve got someone slowing now that’s one of the high-techs uh that is Pepe Marty and Championship leader Paul Aaron slowing down the the Wellington straight Pepe Marty has come to a halt he is out of this race and Paul Aaron could be out as well oh we’ve got contact uh down towards the Apex that’s so Sullivan making contact with Paul Aaron two cars ahead of us Pepe Marty going to pile through this bre and just clatter straight into the back of Paul Aaron but did Aaron already have a problem there because he was really slow through the exit of of the corner onto the Wellington straight let’s have a look at it from Aaron’s perspective yeah I think he’s already got a problem there Aaron at the same time we’re going to look at haar having a completely unrelated incident here and he’s just going to go straight off at [Music] cops sorry I’m out I what happen there he is but he’s got zacho Sullivan coming up the inside and making contact with him Victor Martin’s round and zacho Sullivan going on but that will certainly be Victor Martins tumbling down the order now unfortunately well Victor Martins stationary coming out of the loop there and that is going to be zacho Sullivan crawling down the Wellington straight the fight between vetto and M being a bit more neutralized but Miata challenged to the inside by Duron who spins derkson spinning through Abby there and once again for good measure will catch the car now and should get back going again so Joshua rejoining the circuit here he goes to the outside Gabriel boretto giving it absolutely everything but minione has been equal to all the challenges in defense so far boretto thinks he’s found a gap now on the inside through lufield will this be the time boretto gets through they almost touch Wheels there the crowd cheering as the two invictor racing drivers come through woodcut through the final time BTO has pulled off a move here at cops will he be able to do so again not quite on this occasion Alex scrabbling over the curb on the inside of L field he’s got so much more grip than him lap by lap it’s moving more and more in bto’s favor how much time will he have left though that’s the issue as they make their way through the final opportunities of the lap he’s got a couple more breaking zones to do it in well this is the battle for third it has been Fast and Furious boretto trying his best to get by Kush mione and it is going to go right down to to the final Corner Gabriel boretto doing his best to get by Kush mione as they take us in towards Stow corner but we can’t count out this out front with conditions out their worst Kimmy Antonelli has adapted the fastest as he takes a giant leap to Formula 1 with his first win in Formula 2 behind we have side by side action with boretto kushion wheel tohe around the final corner Airborne goes boretto to the final step of the podium Bravo K yes awesome Drive buddy awesome Drive yes ah let’s go let’s go oh my God W oh thank you guys I needed it looks like you can swim it great job Kimmy Antonelli is a winner in Formula 2 the 17-year-old takes the win in the wets here at Silverstone by 8.6 seconds ahead of zann Maloney Gabriel Balto in a last Corner Sprints gets ahead of his invictor racing teammate kushmi that’s a very special moment for Kimmy Antonelli the first of many and we celebrate with champagne it’s been a wet day here at Silverstone so no harm done with the champagne celebrations
